    Ok thanks.

Yesterday I went back to southend Airport to take pictures and videos etc in preparation for witness statements.
As previously stated I was in the "now" taxi rank area when the pictures were taken. This area does not have the same signs, in fact no signs, and the double lines are yellow rather than red, divided by a single white edge marker line to the road. I'm therefore sure that i'm outside the remit of the red line, no stopping areas that the claim is based on. Is this to be included in the defence or saved for later?

Is Southend airport covered by bylaws? Does anyone conclusively know as this fact alone is enough.

Yes of course it is - all major Airports in the UK are - and we have shedloads of VCS Airport threads which already tell you this, and show defence examples already written.

    Coupon-mad, and others,

Would you be so kind as to direct me to a couple of rock solid examples of VCS and stopping on red line examples. I'm new here and seem to be reading a thousand examples of similar, but not the same. I'm an engineer by trade so my binary OCD plays tricks on what's relevant.

Plenty of VCS no stopping cases on here , at several airports
However , there may be no red line ones
But they will treat it similar to red lines on public roads (red routes) and similar to the Liverpool business park no stopping ones near LJLA

I suspect your pedantic quest (binary odt) for exactly the same cases is blinding you to the no stopping issues on airport land , be it at zebra crossings , hatched areas , red routes , yellow lines , bus stops , laybys or whatever

Well, this all seems like a test.
If i'd driven in to a private land area, seen a sign, laughed, ignored it and thought "they won't get me", then buyer beware!

Simply not the case. Maybe we made a mistake, maybe not. In fact I'm disgusted at the freudulant and vile begging letters from VCS to my mother-in-law.

If this is so difficult, I'll just pay the £185 to the rats tomorrow and move on.

If you guys can't help me then that's that.

Why would you pay £185 when even if you lost in court (almost unheard of here) you'd pay less?

Any of the examples you found would do - choose the most recent one that mentions Ransomes as your keyword.  I can't search & find one any quicker than you could because the forum has been updated this month and I find the search facility here aggravatingly awful now.

All evidence is saved for the Witness Statement stage.

Please show us your defence draft based on other similar ones that deal with Ransomes versus VCS v Ward, like this person:

    Thanks, I'm working on it

Are there any written defences that relate to entrapment (not sure if this is the right term)?

VCS proudly state that they have 87 signs on the site stating "no stopping". Having re-visited, there are in fact at least 5 different types of signs and two forms of line marking. As stated above I was looking for disabled drop off. After walking around for 20 mins, I found one sign and in the corner was disabled instructions, no disabled symbol, and un-lit but placed on a section of the road that was red lined. It was not seen on the day, and I've had to hunt for it. I could not possibly have read it or noticed it without stopping....

The site is carefully laid out, in my opinion, to catch as many people as possible. Incidentally this isn't the section I road that we have received the ticket for.

*addition, just to add to this, the VCS vehicle with the camera, that took the pictures of us it sign written as "Safety Vehicle". No VCS markings or other. We actually stopped directly behind this when the pictures were taken. I'm either stupid or I make a habit of walking past police stations with a stripy shirt on, a mask and a sack on my shoulder labelled "Swag"

I strongly feel that this element needs to go in the defence . I can't find a case that directly challenges this. Can anyone help?

Just word it like you did above! you need no template for talking about entrapment.  You summed it up.
