Morning. Quite over cast here so far today. We had a beautiful sunny day yesterday and I was able to go out and do some clearing up in the back garden. It was unusually quiet didn’t hear any traffic. That might be because my hearing keeps coming and going. Like your way it was warm.Duncan pleased to hear your Dad has not had to wait too long for x-Ray and hope he enjoyed the family zoom call.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday and its end of the month.Take care.
PS. Duncan pleased your Dad had the vaccination with no side effects.2 -
Evening, it's been a lovely day here again. I didn't work today but working tomorrow. I got my washing out and dried so was happy about that as don't think you can beat drying stuff on the line. Glad you got out into the garden leanfun.
I hope the x-ray went well Duncan's dad. I don't think they work in that department here at weekends but maybe they do now to play catch up with the backlog that's built up. Talking about playing catch up I have been doing that today as forgot there are only 28 days this month.
I hope you all had a good weekend

Good Evening
Long boring day here, we went to the shop this morning but even that was a straight down and up job, nothing exciting.
It seems that everyone Dad has spoken to that has had the Pfizer jab has had a varying number of side effects, Dad seems to have been lucky, either that or they have not kicked in yet, even the lad across the road who is half his age has been laid low.
Back at the GP tomorrow, it's the one that thinks he has asthma this time, we have a print-out to show her of the flow meter results from the last month, admitedly the breathing problem Dad had has gone since he started using the inhaler but the weather has not been as cold as it was a month ago so who knows.
The x-ray was easy and should get the results next week, the family Zoom was more stressfull as 2 people could not get in so we abandoned Dad's Zoom and went to another one set up by his sister, it was good to see all of them but Dad can never think of anything to say so just sits there with a silly smile on his face for an hour and a half then waves goodbye.

Evening all,
Had a busy day today! Went to organise my bus pass, which is fun just now. Had to take face mask off to show I was the sam3 person as my passport and then get pic taken. Anyway all done now. Then went to Dumfries for a Tesco shop and a walk along the river. Had been going to see DD but she had been working for 16hrs (backshift then nightshift) so still sleeping. She is supposed to be on holiday too! She has got another 2nd Vaccine appointment now which is good although at an awkward time as supposed to be here but never mind.
The weather has been brilliant but getting colder again tomorrow.
Hope everyone is well xMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Good Morning
Colder here again but should be another dry day once the mist lifts, we are shopping again so shouldn't have to worry about keeping the rucksack dry, must remind Dad to carry water for me though.
Not much comfort from the GP yesterday, still doesn't know if it's asthma or not and with all the test results in, Dad's hand ailment is still a choice between 4 different things, GP has resigned to not knowing and prescribed a painkiller.

Morning, cold here as well Duncan but the sun is out so should be able to get the washing out on the line later. I hope the painkillers work for your dad, it's annoying not knowing.
Your lucky getting your bus pass sheils, I have to wait till I get my pension to apply for it. I hope your DD caught up with her sleep 16 hours is a long shift to work.
I had to laugh at a couple of oldies yesterday at work they have been shielding but want to see DR when he does his weekly round today to see if they can stop shielding, now the sun is out they want to go and sit in the garden, lol. Talk about I will shield when it suits me.
I hope you all have a good day

Afternoon. It was dull here too this morning and cold but sun is out now. I’ve just had three dummies on Topcashback So have won £1.Duncan’s Dad we always expect with modern medicine and tests the doctor will find what is wrong but that’s not always the case. Hope pain killers help and your finger heals soon. Duncan hope you had some good walks today.
Yesterday I spent ages trying to phone GP the receptionist I eventually spoke to said they had no vaccine appointments but to my surprise he phoned back this morning with one for Friday.Sheils pleased your DD has appointment for her second one. 16 yours on duty is far too long she would have been really exhausted. Sheils it’s great to have bus pass.I’ve just baked an apple cake and can actually hear the timer going off so things are looking up.Take care.3 -
Well done on the TopCashback win, that's good this early on in the game. Glad your hearing is improving.2

Good Evening
I think what gets to Dad is that the GP gives up too easily and palms him off with yet more painkillers, a trip to see a skin specialist should have been the next step if it is cause unknown.
We had a day off today, Dad had a flare-up of the Crohn's and was not fit for walking too far from home, if nothing else, it helped him lose another 3kg.

Duncan hope your Dad has a better day today with Crohn’s. Agree about finger painkillers not working and situation not improving then your Dad should be referred to a specialist. Means contacting doctor again and more waiting for appointments so frustrating.Dullest day ever here yesterday with lots of rain. Looks same today although not raining yet.I didn’t help with trying to keep weight down yesterday by making a bread and butter pudding. We had a Sainsbury’s order beginning of week and I ordered brioche to make said pudding. The idea was to eat some and take rest around to friend’s daughter with large family. It was freezing cold and wet so we still have pudding and DH has been up early and ate some more! Verdict delicious but a few more kgs added. I blame Mary Berry. It was her recipe and you can’t freeze it. Most of apple cake was frozen.
Sainsbury’s had run out of sultanas seems they are in short supply.Did I say last week DH had letter from NHS that he should be shielding, well he had another one yesterday same six pages. He’s been shielding since last year. Last proper outing on 7th March.Take care.3
