Good Morning
Oh No Kazzy! if it is of any consolation I would not know her name either but I am so out of touch with any film made after 1980, I probably would not know the answer if the question was reversed, La La Land is not on my radar.
Warm again this morning and it looks like staying dry all day. We are going to the shop (again) for more fruit (again), I think it is all the extra fruit that is causing Dad's finger problems, the more he eats one day the worse the pain is the next day but I may just be clutching at straws.

Thank you both x i do feel better today - I think I was just being silly and should have at least been grateful for being picked in the first place as thousands enter - and I got to soeak to Dave Berry who is a bit fit lol
.
Duncan - not sure if this helps but I have gammy knees and if i have too much citrus fruit they really start to hurt ! may not be relevant but its something I notice especially around christmas when the satsumas come out x2023 £500 boots voucher, Michelin star meal, day at a spa

Morning everyone. I would not have known the answer either Kazzy and my DS works in the cinema, lol. I remember when the film came out but that is all. Just don't beat yourself up about it and stay positive. Something else will be around the corner.
Your right about dad eating something that could be causing his problems at the moment, Duncan.
We have residents in the home that can't eat grapefruit if on a certain pill and some can't eat anything with seeds in as it makes their condition worse. It would be worth looking into. Good news about the MOT. I hope you can get out for your walks today.
Your right about your DD sheils and her 2nd vaccine she is well within the time to get one, just annoying when other things crop up. Fingers crossed you get your holidays this year.
Work was good yesterday as I was on the residential floor, not very busy and covid free. It's been raining all night so looks like I won't be gardening today, never mind there is always tomorrow.
I Have a good day

Good afternoon,
Beautiful day here after our 2 days of torrential rain. Got all my washing out and it is drying nicely.
Just been a drive to next town to have a walk in nearby woods. They have a few different woods so decided to try different ones to usual. Started off the wrong way (I was right and DH wrong!) Then we couldn’t find the start of the walks as they weren’t where we parked. After finding them after a few false starts we had a nice walk although picked a slippy, steep slope to get back to car. Will know next time!
Kazzy I didn’t know the answer either.
Hope everyone has a nice day. XMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Kazzy another one here who didn’t know the answer. It’s a disappointment but some pluses as you say you spoke to Dave Berry.. Hope you have a win soon. Good luck.We have just been out for a walk around the block and went a bit further today. It’s nice and sunny here now and no wind. Pleased you had a good walk too Sheils.Indie I think we have all been itching to go out in the garden. They will dry out soon. We saw quite a few daffodils in the gardens just now. Pleased you had a good day at work yesterday.
Duncan sounds as though Kazzy might have a good idea about the connection between some fruit and your finger. Worth cutting out the citrus fruit to see if your finger improves. An event here I’m going to make a roast dinner. Don’t usually bother for the two of us but no one else is coming for the foreseeable future so I thought it would make a change.
Enjoy Sunday evening.5 -
kazzystar1973 said:Evening all - just wanted to share my feelings today - I am in such a bad mood !!!!! it all started yesterday when i was woken up at 7.30am by a phone call from an unknown number - but i thought, best answer it, it might be important - well it was the producer at Absolute Radio Breakfast Show telling me I had been picked as the first contestant for next weeks Sky Mobile competition and that it would need to be pre-recorded and that they would ring me between 11 and 12.30. I was so excited I was watching the clock from about 10! At 11.45 they rang and after them giving me the heads up on the competition which was basically 3 x general knowledge questions and i would win £1,000 and then come back the next day and try to win another, which would go on until Friday with the possibility of winning £5k in total. Anyway, I was put through to Dave Berry and had a chat with him and then he asked me the first question - which la la land actor is set to star as the new cruella de vilk - well my brain just went to mush at that point and I knew her name was Emma, so I said Emma Watson - of course it isnt Emma Watson, she is Harry Potter but I just couldnt think - so, there I go getting the first question wrong and off I go with nothing - now I know I didnt lose anything as I hadnt actually won something in the first place, but I just cant shake the mood of “what if” and everyone I have asked, including my husband who doesnt watch any films knew it was Emma Stone - I thought putting it down might help me have closure of some sort !3

Good Morning.
Second day in a row that Dad has gone out without a hat on
Good idea stopping the citrus fruit kazzy but Dad does not eat any, he is allergic to the pith, gives him mouth ulcersthere will be an answer somewhere, will see what the blood test says and may have to start another medication.
Sheils - we have found many a good walk by parking in the wrong place and they are now in the program for the group walks.
I am getting 2 long walks today as Dad needs to go somewhere to collect something, it will be a change from sitting watching him digging holes for fence posts.

Well after a glorious 2 days it is back to torrential rain and strong winds. Didn't sleep well with all the noise. My DH wasn't wearing a hat the last 2 days either Duncan. Mind you his hair is a lot longer than usual so possibly helping to cover some bald patches, so not needed so much! Hoping forecast is right and sun back on Thursday so we can get out.A roast dinner sounds nice leanfun. We sometimes have one when DD comes but we arent going to our usual shops and not getting the same meat so not been bothering too often. Quite often seems to have been too fatty and/or expensive.Waiting on news about our lockdown but not expecting any good news as although we are always told how much better we are doing than England ,we always have to stay locked down for longer. Good that England has a plan anyway.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Good Afternoon
Windy here as well Sheils but it did not start getting strong until just before noon but now even the tree out back is shaking, we are not so wet here just now, maybe later though.
Dad goes for his jab on Thursday evening but not to his own GP so I can't go with himHe also has an appointment on Saturday to get an x-ray on his hand so things are moving along nicely.
Door handle fitted today so hopefully that will help a little bit although even wearing gloves is sore so it has gone beyond nuisance value as he needs to wear gloves to keep his hand warm or else it gets really sore.
