Afternoon. Great sunshine here today but looks a bit windy out.We didn’t see the orange sunrise but this was in Metro today wish we had seen it.
https://metro.co.uk/2021/02/23/saharan-dust-brings-stunning-sunrises-as-temperatures-to-soar-to-17c-14130979/Dust from the Sahara has been causing colourful sunrises and sunsets across the UK, which is set to see its first ‘hints of spring’ this week.
We had a fish delivery today so I’ve been making fish pies they are all ready for freezing now. Fresh Scottish salmon tonight. The fishmonger had the salmon on special offer so have stocked up.
Duncan’s Dad so pleased you have appointments so soon. Yesterday and today I have phoned GP about a vaccination appointment. Yesterday the receptionist said they had appointments for Friday but said she could not book me another appointment as I had one for earlier in the month. I told her I had phoned days before to cancel that. She said they would phone me back. No call so I’ve just phoned again and was told by someone else that there were no available appointments to phone later in the week or next week.
Who knows how these plans will pan out Sheils. This time it seems they are being a lot more cautious in England than at end of first lockdown. With the vaccine things should improve so hope so. People will still need to be taking precautions for some time. There always seem to be a lot of people out and about where we live.
Take care.

Good Morning
Hope you get your appointment sorted leanfun, sometimes receptionists can need an appointment just to make an appointment.
We had a bit of a glowing sunrise yesterday but it soon turned dark again when the rain arrived.
Not much going on here today, weather looks to be fair and we are going out for more bananas, we now have a garden waste bin full of skins from the amount that Dad eats.

Morning, beautiful pictures leanfun. It's been lovely the last couple of days but back to the rain today. I am waiting for a text from my dr ref the vaccine. They are on 64-year-olds at the moment so mine should be soon. I could go to the hospital being a carer and get one but it's easier to get to Drs. My sons GF has one booked next week but I think that's because she is asthmatic and overweight.
Duncan, we eat a lot of bananas as well. I love bananas and custard and even have the odd banana sandwich.
I had a surprise parcel turn up today, Product of the year goody bag, it doesn't say where from but I entered a few and have been trying to win one for years. Off to make a coffee now.
Hope you all have a good day

Afternoon. Feeling a bit low here just now and came to the Inn and so cheered up to hear you have won the Product of the year goody Bag Indi. The year I won it just turned up. They are great a lot of different things for you to try. Brilliant. Hope you enjoyed your coffee think I’ll have one now.
Duncan we have fruit with our cereal now and it’s often bananas. Used to enjoy a banana sandwich as well.Very dull here today but rain has stopped now.

Good Morning
Well done on the win indie, we need wins like that to keep us all doing it
Dad got his jab last night, no side effects as yet. So many of the staff there doing nothing, I just hope it was not because folk were not turning up, still, it meant he got through quicker.
Bananas are so versatile, everything from bread to cocktails, even the skins are good for your roses (if you have them) I like mine mashed up with honey and peanut butter then frozen into cakes.

Morning, It's a lovely sunny morning here as well firefly. It was cold last night, but they have said the nights will be colder for a few nights.
I forgot bananas on cereal as well leanfun. Trouble is I eat it off the top then the cereal, lol
Don't like honey but like peanut butter, Duncan. I put the skins on my roses as well. Good news your dad has no side effects from the jab. I think it's only a few that have them.
Hope you all have a good day

Afternoon all,
Great weather here so been doing a fair bit of walking. Really upset we won’t be getting our Forest Holidays break. It was for the 19thApril and our FM has suggested the 26th would be the earliest a break would be allowed so they have cancelled them all. Can’t get through yet to sort out the booking.
Well done on POY bag indie. Have won a few in the past but not for a while.
Hope you get your jab soon leanfun. I didn’t get squeezed in with the over 60s by looks of it but never mind sure I will get one soon. Our area doing pretty well.
Love spring flowers ff. Got some yellow Primulas flowering away here. An aunt gave me a pot plant years ago and it spread. Always makes me smile and think of her.
Good pic of your dad Duncan, looks such a typical Scots lad.

Good Morning
Red sky in the east with the sun rising and white sky in the west with the moon setting.
Saw a bee and a wasp in the garden yesterday and that is early for them so it must be warm.
Busy day ahead for Dad, x-ray at lunch time and family Zoom at 5pm.
