The camera was strapped to Dad's chest ff so no chance of a wave, if he had kept it running for a minute or so longer you would have heard him blow his nose and swear as he dropped one of his gloves then see his feet as he picked it up again5

Morning,
Well that’s Valentine’s Day celebrated. (Very enjoyable) Not long until another celebration on my birthday .
So strange having to celebrate everything in our own homes now.
Wind has dropped thank goodness, that has been the worst thing here. Our covering of snow was gone in 5mins when rain started.
Nice to see you having fun in your snow Duncan. Can’t remember our Collies playing in the snow or looking for mice. Have seen pics of wingo’s playing in the snow too though.
Great you are still looking after the birds ff. Hope you and your DH are keeping well.
Hoping to get out for a walk this afternoon, forecast is for showers followed by rain for this morning.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Great video Duncan and love the smile at the beginning of it. Our dog loves to roll in the snow and was crying to go play in the snow.
hope you managed to get out for your walk Sheils. Was gonna go round the woods for walk today with DD2 but it was a bit muddy and there’s roadworks around. Hope you enjoyed Valentine’s Day. It was dad’s memorial yesterday (5 yrs already) I was gonna have a drink and raise a glass to dad but I felt so exhausted yesterday I just couldn’t wait to get to bed!
My mum got the vaccine Leanfun thankfully. My bro had a good talk to her and she understood what he went through being on a ventilator and realised vaccine is the safer option.
fire**fly that’s great you’re still getting out to feed the birds. Aldi or Lidl (can’t remember which) has the stick on clear plastic bird feeders at a great price too.
Well as promised the dining room wallpaper is stripped! It’s surprising how DH is getting involved too. Got flooring to replace too which we bought last yr sometime so finally get somewhere!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!2 -

It's Lidl - £2.99, Dad got one this morning3 -
Great video Duncan, your very focused in your search. Have you thought about looking for truffles? I hope all your snow has gone now.
Glad you had a good Valentine's meal sheils, I hope you got to go for your walk as well.
Well done to your DH Wingo for getting involved in the decorating.
Work was hectic yesterday, but time passes quickly. I was working with dementia, so always something to do. It was nice to have no ice and temperatures were up. It rained a little but not like today. It's been raining since the early hours and looks like we have it all day.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning raining here today. A bit disappointing as we managed a walk around the block yesterday. It’s not quite as bad as it sounds there is a field that used to be a cricket pitch behind the houses up our road on the other side and is now used as a community centre. We were surprised to see a lot of Mums in there sat on picnic benches and a lot of small children playing football. All the snow has gone and yesterday was a heat wave 8 degrees.
Duncan loved the video of you in the snow. You are extremely persistent. Your Dad must have quite a time with you to encourage you to move on sometimes. Hope your snow has gone.Sheils hope you were able to go for a walk too.Wingo pleased your DH is joining in with your redecorating you will be so pleased when it’s finished. The five years have gone by quickly. So pleased your brother persuaded your mother to have the vaccine. As long as you have no other infections you should be ok. In our family my brother is the one who has fallen for all the odd theories. Sounds as though your brother is doing well too.
Indie hope work was not to tiring yesterday.Take care.4 -
Good Morning
The heatwave continues and the snow has all gone.
Dad has now gone 61 years without getting a Valentine card, I wonder if that is some kind of record?
We are going to Screwfix today to get a door handle, Dad's fingers as so bad that he can no longer operate the push button type on the livingroom door so we need to get him a lever type, apart from the front and back doors, it's the only door in the house that is fully closed at times, just to stop me running all the way in if it has been raining.

Hi Duncan, give these to your dad as a belated valentine's gift, tell him they were left on the doorstep. You might get an extra doggy treat.

Thanks for the flowers Frogletina, Dad got a lovely surprise when he opened the door this morning
Good Morning
Dry and warm here at 8 degrees but dark clouds surround us.
We saw a fox dashing across the road earlier then it stopped to look at us before going through the hedge, strange that it was going in the opposite direction from the den though.
We also saw crocus budding, lovely to see a carpet of purple buds, one of the councils better planting projects.
Dad never got the door handle yesterday in spite of a text saying it was in stock, appologies all round and a promise of another text when they get more in.
We are heading to Lidl for more fruit today, I just need to remind him that's all he needs to get.
