Looking forward to the weekend when it forecast to be warmer still we might be able to go out in the garden. The flowers looked lovely Frogletina great idea. I still have some white chrysanthemums my friends grandson bought weeks ago. They have lasted ages.Duncan hope door handle is in stock soon. Frustrating that you have to make another journey.

Dreadful day here with torrential rain and strong winds. Doesn't look like tomorrow will be much better either.Feeling fed up to be honest. No word of my vaccine yet although heard of people just over 60 getting theirs so maybe wont be too long as our region seems to be doing well. DD is to get her second one on Monday so after that she should be pretty safe after having Covid as well!Hope everyone is well.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Hello
Poorin doon here and doesn't look like stopping any time soon, we got a good soaking when I took Dad up to see the GP about his purple finger. Blood was taken and an x-ray booked, doc thinks it may be either a type of arthritis or possibly gout.
Not much else doing today because of the weather, the repairs to the fence I broke are on hold, Dad did one post this morning (in the rain) but really needs to get a second one fixed in before I am allowed near it again, there are enough posts for 4 more just to make it stronger than it was before.
Fish and chips for tea tonight, I am hoping to get some of the fish.

Dull day here today very little rain. Hope rain clears up soon with downpours.
Duncan your Dad’s finger sounds bad. Pleased you were able to see your GP hope the blood test results come through quickly and you don’t have to wait long for your x-Ray.Tell Dad to take care not to hurt this finger repairing the fence. Fish and chips sound good. We have a shop near by but have not had them for nearly a year. It’s mushroom omelettes here.Sheils sorry to hear you are feeling low. It hits us all at times. These are the hardest times in our lifetime. I said to DH the other day who would have said we would have been indoors for a whole year only going out for walks and no one coming in. Well we can count on one hand the number of times someone has been in here in nearly a year.
It’s great your DD is having her second jab this next week and she will have lots of immunity from having had the virus.Let’s hope the weekend is dry and warmer. Spring should be on its way soon.Take care.3 -
Evening, gosh your weather sounds horrible sheils and Duncan. We have had drizzly rain all day but not the winds. Hope you hear soon about your vaccine sheils.
Your dad's finger sounds painful Duncan, hope the blood test results come back quickly.
I have been pottering around all day, wanted to get out in the garden but too wet for that. I am working tomorrow so will try to get in the garden on Sunday.
Hope you all have a good weekend
Stay safe3 -
Good Morning
What a change from yesterday, no rain, no wind and enough ambient light at 6:30 for Dad not to need his torch.
Itching to get out to the garden here as well indie but like you it is far too wet to do anything useful, hope you have better luck tomorrow, it will take a few dry days in a row before anything can get done here. The fence post hole that Dad dug on Thursday is still full of water so that will need to wait as well, he could just pour the concrete in and use the water that is there but is reluctant to do that.
Got the car back OK and no work needing done for the MOT but some of the fluids needed changed for the service so £230.
Nothing to do today but I will try to take Dad out as much as possible to take his mind off things at home.
Take Care3 -
Morning all,
Going to be another wet and windy day here. 🙁
Hope it stays dry for your walks Duncan and your dad gets the fence sorted.
We are so glad we did as much as we could last year leanfun, staying at home feels so hard. I know we are lucky to have a big house and garden in a rural area but it is still tough when family live so far away apart from DD who is 30 miles away. If we could even look forward to the breaks we have booked it would help. Our first break is supposed to be in a forest lodge in Argyle in middle of April which was transferred from last April. Doubt we will get it though.
Hope work isn’t too busy today indie so you have plenty of energy for the garden tomorrow.
DD had her second vaccine appointment changed to the following day and now can’t go as she has a hospital appointment at similar time and at a different location. Annoying but it isn’t 12 wks since the first one anyway. Hopefully she gets another one soon.
We get given appointments here we don’t get making them.
Have you made one yet leanfun?
Must go and get shower and get organised I suppose.
Have a nice day. XMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Evening all - just wanted to share my feelings today - I am in such a bad mood !!!!! it all started yesterday when i was woken up at 7.30am by a phone call from an unknown number - but i thought, best answer it, it might be important - well it was the producer at Absolute Radio Breakfast Show telling me I had been picked as the first contestant for next weeks Sky Mobile competition and that it would need to be pre-recorded and that they would ring me between 11 and 12.30. I was so excited I was watching the clock from about 10! At 11.45 they rang and after them giving me the heads up on the competition which was basically 3 x general knowledge questions and i would win £1,000 and then come back the next day and try to win another, which would go on until Friday with the possibility of winning £5k in total. Anyway, I was put through to Dave Berry and had a chat with him and then he asked me the first question - which la la land actor is set to star as the new cruella de vilk - well my brain just went to mush at that point and I knew her name was Emma, so I said Emma Watson - of course it isnt Emma Watson, she is Harry Potter but I just couldnt think - so, there I go getting the first question wrong and off I go with nothing - now I know I didnt lose anything as I hadnt actually won something in the first place, but I just cant shake the mood of “what if” and everyone I have asked, including my husband who doesnt watch any films knew it was Emma Stone - I thought putting it down might help me have closure of some sort !2023 £500 boots voucher, Michelin star meal, day at a spa
