Morning,
Really cold wind here , reminding us that living room window needs replacing!
Forecast says we are going to get snow today but if it’s like the last time it said that I won’t worry about it as none appeared.
Hope you got your parcel leanfun.
Well done on the wins indie. I started doing the daily mags again for a little while but keep forgetting.
£50 will be handy for your dad Duncan.
Glad you are having a break wingo. Saw your pics on FB!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Mormning. Seems we are all freezing still bring on next week. We still have thick ice outside the front of garage. It’s at the bottom of our garden. I had to go down there to side entrance to freezer yesterday and lots of ice about in garden. Long icicles on bins.
Indie well done on the wins. Photo book sounds good and I’m sure your DS will be pleased with ear phones. Great for you to have some wins. The parcel that arrived yesterday was one of the book prizes. It was three children’s books about stories of train journeys for about 10year olds. So great for GS’s birthday next month.Indie been thinking of your nephew and family. These lockdowns are hard enough for us adults but do worrry about the effect on youngsters.
Well done Duncan’s Dad on money from survey. Do hope you are able to get enough nourishment. Maybe what with the extreme cold and your pain it’s short walks for Duncan.
Hi Wingo. Hope you have a good week this next week. Your DH knowing nothing about the decorating project made me smile before I went to sleep last night. Did your Mum have the vaccine? Hope she’s ok. Agree this lockdown has been hard mind you it’s been one long lock down for us. DH is nearly loosing the plot he wrote a little ditty for the delivery man yesterday about knocking loudly in front door. We have a ‘Flintstone’ door knocker. Anyway it resulted in the delivery man having a doorstep conversation with him. Brightened up DS’s day.
Sheils did you hear if Sylvia has had the vaccine.Sun is out here now but has only cleared snow and ice from other side of the road.Take care.4 -
Morning, we have the cold wind here sheils. Brrrrrr. I took DS's GF to work and popped in for a few bits and the wind is bitter. It went straight through my clothes, and although I was only out a short time I was frozen when I got home.
Hi Wingo, The wallpapering will keep you busy and surprise your DH, lol. Glad you had fun in the snow sledging. We only had a light covering of snow, much to the local kids' disappointment
.Well done to your dad, Duncan on the survey money, that will be handy. I hope the weather is ok so you can get out for your walks.
The book prize sounds ideal for your GS leanfun and just in time as well. My nephew is having problems keeping his middle boy in, his 15 now and was always out and about so is going stir crazy, he use to go football practise most nights and then play in Saturday and Sunday leagues but like everyone else he has to stay in. Hopefully, we can all get out before too much longer.
I have no work today, and nothing has come in yet for tomorrow so looks like I will be having a weekend off.
Hope you all have a good weekend

Evening All
Everyone seems to be winning something so great news for a change.
We had a bit more snow here this afternoon at 5pm so just as it was getting colder for the evening as well, never mind roll on the summer firefly, roll on next week when the temp will have jumped up here by a full 15 degrees from -5 up to +10.
We are needing some things from the shop, bananas especially but Dad is not sure whether to go tomorrow while it is still cold or leave it until Monday when by rights the snow should be gone, we will sleep on it.
Car service and MOT on Friday next so the lights and stuff are all needing checked, it has only done about 500 miles since the last one so tyres and brakes should be OK, we have not even used a full tank of fuel in the last 12 months, they are collecting the car and bringing it back so no worries about finding something to do while we wait for it.
Take Care4 -
Yes, Duncan it’s great to have some wins in the Inn. I think we are going a bit stir fry crazy here. The other day when we had the DPD card to say they tried to deliver a parcel before 8am and would come back next day. DH wrote a little poem for the delivery person asking them to knock loudly. Today on FaceTime DH was telling DD2 that when the delivery man came he was so chuffed with the poem he said he was taking it to show his mates!Today we had another parcel this time from postman. It was the Gressingham recipe book. I thought it was going to be small but it’s a lovely big hard back book. This year has been all about food here.
FireFly I too say roll on next week when it should be warmer and we can go out for a walk4 -
Happy happy Valentines Day. 💘That’s for those who celebrate it. Here I said to DH do you know what today is? Yes, it’s Valentine’s Day for those who are not married! Then I didn’t think you were worried about it. My response well I have my cup of coffee. DH kindly makes coffee for me every morning. What more could I want.
Happy Sunday all.4 -
lol, yep what more could you want. They have loads of competitions around for Valentine's day, that finish today. I suppose you could keep the win for next year.
I have had a baking morning here, made a banana loaf and some bread pudding. I am now making some veg soup. The soup should last a few days but the cakes will be gone before long as DS and his GF have already had a slice of both, lol. I am working tomorrow as they rang last night and asked so I thought as I haven't worked the weekend I will go in tomorrow.
Hope you all have a good day

We did get a covering of snow yesterday, just enough to be annoying! Still an odd patch lying which is slippy as had a shower this morning. Really icy wind blowing as well so took the car to Tesco today and won’t be going a walk.
Got the Prosecco in the fridge for tonight and meal half organised. Not going to miss a chance to celebrate! Don’t bother with Valentine cards anymore but never miss the wine. 😁
Gosh Duncan your dad doesn’t travel far! We usually do over 12,000 miles a year but only did 10,000 last year. We tried to do as much as possible when we weren’t locked down.
Really hard for teenagers and kids indie. Think the rules here are a bit more lenient for adults and especially kids meeting but worse for businesses. As you say hopefully we will get out of this sooner rather than later.
Leanfun, yes Sylvia got her vaccine ok. Her surgery phoned with a date for her somewhere else which I think was slightly handier. Here they have been quite good at giving couples an appointment at same time even if slight age difference. Being 12 yrs younger than my DH I didn’t get one though.
Hope everyone keeping warm. Going to watch Outlander series 1 box set this afternoon . Have seen it before but going to check the locations again as didn’t recognise them all before. Have been back at some to have another look.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Afternoon All
Just a quickie from me.
Dad took his camera and filmed me in the snow today, mostly my bum sticking up but I was busy hunting for mice at the time.https://youtu.be/n10_jMoAfyo

Good Morning
Thanks ff, there was over an hours worth of filming to go through and Dad picked out this bit, he sees this stuff all the time so doesn't think it is anything special but another dog walker pointed out that it was not every day behaviour for a dog. Maybe he should add a soundtrack though as it is a bit eerie when the mic did not pick up all the sounds.
A little rain overnight and temps above freezing means that most of the snow here has melted and it won't be long 'till the rest goes, it should be a dry walk into Lidl for some shopping at 10am.
Have Fun4
