    Morning all,
Cold wind here but as I have just hung the washing out that might be a good thing.
Supposed to be a dry day for a change but forecast to be colder next few days.
DD about better now and self isolation will end on Monday.

Look like DS2 and family will be moving to Burntisland which will be nice. They aren’t counting their chickens yet though as things have fallen through with buying houses before. Does your dad ever take you there to walk Duncan? Have been there a couple of times in the past.

Well done on the win leanfun. The only thing I have been winning is the odd £1 from GfK Media for doing a few TV survey things. DH won £25 on the Premium Bonds though.

Hope you enjoyed your pottering yesterday in the sunshine indie.

Afternoon.  Sheil’s well done to your DH’s Premium Bonds win.   Pleased your DD is better although she had some symptoms there was time for her to have built some immunity after the vaccination.
I had a WEM yesterday for set of children’s books about trains.  I can’t find the comp anywhere but they had my email so must have been web.  They will be ideal for GS’s birthday next month.   There seems to be a pattern here friend phoned yesterday to say they were delighted to receive the book about trains around Manchester.   My other wins this year have been two cookery books.
Duncan’s Dad sorry to hear you have Crohn’s.  We have two young friends who have it and recently my nephew has been diagnosed with it.   I was surprised he had the diagnosis so quickly.
    Take care.

@sheils6 - we used to go regularly to Burntisland but not often (if that makes sense), about three times a year with the walking group, it is a difficult place to find an easy walk as it is right at the foot of The Binn and quite a steep walk from the coast up and out of the town. The last walk that we did a reccy for was starting at Aberdour and going along the coast almost to Burntisland but then turning inland and back again.

@leanfun30 - the Crohn's is mostly under control since the 2 feet of affected bowel was removed but when Dad changes his diet suddenly it can flare up and accidents can happen. Good luck to the youngsters that have been diagnosed, it took something like 8 years before a consultant finally said 'I think you may have Crohn's' and sent him for an overnight stay in hospital that included a 'balloon' colonoscopy done under anaesthetic to find the exact location as other tests had not been accurate enough.

Apart from all that it has been another wet and windy day here, we missed a walk again today because of the weather.
Dad is doing well on his 'no food' diet but is craving toast with jam. We are going shopping tomorrow but with me tied up outside, I just hope that he stays out of the bread aisle and with the Superbowl at night, the crisp aisle needs to be avoided as well.
    Take Care.

    Good Morning :)
It has turned from wet & windy through just windy overnight to snow and windy this morning and the snow is lying already, even on the wet ground.
Another change overnight is that Dad is taking the car to the shops instead of me, he needs to get some heavy and bulky stuff for the house and was going to leave it until later in the week but with more snow to come, he is going today.
    Take Care

Morning.  Woke up to everything wet here.  Then late morning it has snowed but unlike your way Duncan it has not settled only a little on the bushes in our front garden.  DS has sent a picture of the back garden there near Dover with lots of snow and it’s still snowing.  Duncan hope your Dad made it to the shops and back ok.  Good idea to go today.   Our DS said he had had online shopping yesterday.

Duncan’s Dad thanks for your comments about your Crohn’s.  The people we have known who have Cronhn’s also took a long time to be diagnosed.  My nephew was having a bad time last year with lots of symptoms and not getting a doctor’s appointment he also moved to another town.  However when he did see a doctor after some tests last year last month they sent him for colonoscopy.   I think the hospital was not doing many tests so he was one of the lucky ones in this COVID time.   So to my surprise he was diagnosed really quickly.
    Take care.

Morning. wow, your nephew was lucky to get diagnosed so quickly leanfun. Hopefully with meds and a change in diet he can keep it under control. Well done on the wins.
Keeping fingers crossed your DS2 gets the house sheils. I bet your DD is glad Monday is here and she no longer has to isolate.
I hope your snow wasn't too bad yesterday Duncan and you could get out for your walks.
We have no snow as yet and yesterday was really cold, just walking from the car to the front door I was shivering. Work was very busy over the weekend, we have a few more residents with Covid, I was on the residential floor Saturday and no-one has it on that floor just the other 2 floors seem to.Yesterday I was on the nursing floor and 2 staff rung in with it as well as 3 more residents. I am off now till next weekend.
Hope you all have a good day
    Stay safe

    Good Morning :)
Enjoy your week off indie and I hope that the virus has not learned how to travel between floors yet

It warmed up to above freezing yesterday so any snow that fell through the day was just melting. Dad was still feeling a bit rough so walks were limited, we only did about 8 miles in total. He made a fool of himself at Lidl by buying a whole load of stuff that he had a 15% off coupon for then reached into his pocket only to find that he had forgotten the tablet with the coupon on.

Nowhere special to go today but I am hoping that we will go to the park, the ground should be frozen enough to walk on.
    Take Care.

Morning.   We have had snow that has covered everywhere overnight and light snow now.  Fortunately we don’t have to go out.  Strange saying that as we don’t go out much anyway but they seem to be cracking on with the vaccinations so there is some hope.
Indie sounds like a tiring weekend.  Hope you have a good rest in the week.
Sheils your DD will be pleased to be able to go out.  Hope she does not have too many shifts in a row.  Trying to move house must be difficult for your son hope all goes through.  Sheils at least your DH will have his jab local tomorrow so hope you have no snow.

Ho Duncan’s Dad we have all been forgetful at some time and then felt stupid at the checkout.  Last time I went in a supermarket I made a right fool of myself trying to pay with a card.  It look ages for the assistant to get through to me what I should do.  Duncan hope Dad improves and you can go for some short walks.

Firefly wonder if you have snow too. Do take care if you go out in garden there might be ice.  For the first time in years I made a lamb stew for yesterday’s dinner.  It turned out really tasty with lots of veg in it too.  I asked husband should I freeze the rest and he immediately said no we can have that tomorrow so no cooking today.
    Take care.

Weird snow today, it's like someone has been grating polystyrene somewhere and it is all blowing through on the wind.

3 hours later, what a difference, big flakes and an inch of snow on the ground when we went out at 7pm.
We even got to see a car crash, the main roads were clear but when he turned into the side street where he lived at his usual speed, the road was not clear and he went sideways and bumped up over the kerb into of all things a speed limit sign :)
Thankfully I had stopped to sniff something so we were well away from the junction or else we would have been hit as well.
    Time for bed.
