Been a dreadful day here with constant rain. Had DD here last night which was lovely as we havent really seen anyone for ages. I have been to Tesco but DH not been anywhere as still recovering although he has had a few walks with me. Still not sure what it was but luckily I have been fine. DD wasn't sure about coming but we told her to and her Covid test from yesterday came through as negative while she was here. (She gets a weekly one.) Her new ward isn't full of violent patients so we are happy about that but more activity in it so more risk of the virus getting in.

Great news about your vaccines leanfun. My parents and aunt got theirs today.

Good you are all recovering indie.

Thank you so much for answering my questions and apologies for posting them in the wrong area. I will make sure to post them in the correct place in future and thanks for letting me know where that is. I didn't read the previous conversations in this thread properly before I posted and now I feel really rude as it seems I have interrupted a conversation, once again apologies to you all and thanks for taking the time to answer my questions and direct me to the correct place. Take care and stay safe everyone x

    Afternoon
Hi Nikkihuk, leanfun is right we love having new people to chat to. and if you don't ask you won't find out answers. Good luck with your comping.
Don't beat yourself up leanfun, I know how you feel as I felt the same when we went down with it after all that time but we think son's GF brought it home from work as she had it first. All the symptoms are different for different people but you may have caught a chill going out at the weekend. You did the right thing ref a test and I hope they put your mind at rest. I hope your DH had his jab ok, and you won't have to wait too long for yours.
Glad your DD visited sheils and she is on a non-violent ward now. She must be relieved as well. My son is looking at going to uni when all this Covid is over and studying Mental health, he is not sure doing what as yet but has been looking at a course that takes you through all the departments and working out if it's for you or not. So that will be interesting.
I am going back to work at the weekend and the home has a test that gives results in 20 mins and I have to do it before I start the shift. I have been warned that they can give false positives as it has happened to some staff so I hope it works ok as talking to my son he said if it is positive I have to isolate again.
Hope you all have a good afternoon
    Stay safe

Oh leanfun that must be so annoying for you especially after getting an early vaccine appointment. Hopefully you will feel better soon.
I always wonder how we get sniffles etc nowadays when not near anyone. I did worry about DH being ill as it was 5 days after the car got serviced. He didnt have a cough or sore throat etc anyway though.

    Evening All :)

It has been a 3 towel day today, not heavy rain but just never stopped and it has now turned to sleet, that should be fun and games in the morning if it keeps up all night.
It just shows how easily a virus can be passed on sheils, you never speak to anyone or go anywhere but all of a sudden you have a cold.
Hope all goes well for those at work, Dad gave that up years ago and doesn't miss it a bit, even more so now, he would hate to be working in a factory or even worse, a meter reader just now.
Dad was baking today for a certain Goddess and will put the parcel in the box tomorrow, can't believe that we now don't have a local PO and have to resort to printing out the label/postage at home.
    Take Care.

Morning fine and sunny here today.  Thanks all.  Chest still hurts but I don’t feel cold anymore.  Last year a friend did say to me in the phone once we get out again we will pick up all kinds of illnesses our immunity will be low.  Seems to be happening.
Indie enjoy your last few days at home.
    Take care.

    Good Morning :)
Good point leanfun and probably why Dad gets do few colds and stuff, he is out all the time in all weathers just doing his normal stuff.
The snow turned to sleet last night and that has turned to slush underfoot and with more rain/sleet to come this morning, how it will end up is anyone's guess if it all freezes tonight. I do wish that it would warm up a bit, I am getting fed up staying indoors between walks, Dad say that it is too cold to leave the front door open all the time.
    Take Care.

Morning, the rain has finally stopped and the sun is out. It's still very cold out and I am with your dad on not leaving doors open Duncan. Like you,  I wish the warm weather would hurry up and arrive, lol. there's nothing like wishing your life away.
Glad you're not feeling cold anymore.leanfun, I hate that feeling and can only warm-up by having a bath which is great if it works but can't sit in a hot bath all day. I have housework to do today and may pop to shops for some shopping.
    Have a good day
    Stay safe

    Good Morning :)
It will be a bit of a 'nothing' day today, nowhere to go and nothing to do but I am sure that a spark will go off in Dad's head and we will end up dashing away somewhere.
Even the comps have offered little in the way of distraction today, never ticked so many red boxes on a single visit for ages.
    Take Care.
