Afternoon
Did you all remember to turn your clocks forward. Still no compliment button sheils. There are a few posts about it missing.
Hope your DS3 got back to his GF ok.
Weather not so warm here today, but there is a chilly wind at least it's dry. I went and started car up and polished all the bits inside that could be polished earlier.Just cooking a roast dinner and hoping the wind drops so i can get out in the garden later.
Stay safe everyone.1 -
Morning, suns out here already. My nephew went and got my meds and picked a few bits up from shops for us yesterday. So i have what I need till I can get out on sunday. The only thing he couldn't get was flour as DS wanted to make some bread but it's hard to get at the moment so maybe lots of people have the same idea.I am going to do some more gardening today if it warms up a little.
Hope your all well, stay safe.1 -
Good Morning,Have had some nice weather here so washing about up to date. Might even do the ironing soon!Glad you are ok indie, will seem a long time until Sunday! Flour seemed to vanish quickly at the start of all this.Lots of people seemed to think of it. Strange thing is there always seems to be lots of loaves in the shops.Meat seems to be the thing that is difficult to get. Havent been to the butchers as it seems to be one in one out butyou have to open the door etc. Seem to have to go to supermarket every few days as they never have all that I want which is annoying. I have never bothered having a large freezer so never had much food stored before this started. My parents have the last laugh as they have 3 freezers (I had always told them to get rid of some!)Think DD is going to call round today and sit outside to speak to us. She is still off with her shoulder, although she is supposed to be off anyway.Hope you are well leanfun and everyone else.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Morning, Good to hear your DD is not at work and resting her shoulder.sheils hope you had a catch up when she came round. Hope your DH is ok leanfun, I think the news is getting to everyone at the moment.Yes it is good news about the oxygen machines they have managed to convert and they said when in production they can make 1000 a day. It's a beautiful day here and warm outside,I have got all the windows open and giving the rooms a good airing.
I have just cut the grass out front (finally) everytime i was on my way out I got waylaid by something else) I got DS and his GF to cut the 2 bushes down by front door so that's all done now.
DS's GF is a prankster so being Aprils fool day she played a joke on me. Good job I have a sense of humor. She changed the display button on my PC so everything was upside down. She left instructions on how to right it which I told her was just as well or I would have got her up to do it,lol.

Morning, Great news about your sister leanfun. Your so right about the tests but think it will be a while before we get one done. Even with my working in a home i think we will be one of the last people to get a test.
I am lucky as have a small freezer in kitchen and a chest freezer in conservatory which is always full (well was, lol). It's really fresh fruit and veg, bread and milk i need. Planning to get washing done later and then go out back and do some weeding.Have a good day and stay safe0 -
Morning,
Glad to see everyone seems to be coping.
We went to the next town yesterday to try and get supplies as it has been pretty limited here.
I had to queue forever which was a shock but I persevered and did get nearly everything on my list.
We are quite well stocked now including wine! Also got DH a bottle of malt that was on offer.
Meaning to stay away from shops for a little while now.
Had a nice walk in nearby woods the other day and a red squirrel came pretty close to us. The parking has been closed at the woods so it was deserted ,although did try to go a quieter way.
Lots of walks have narrow paths so the woods are a good option and just over a miles walk from us.
Strange to think the hide there was shut down a few months ago because of the squirrels getting a virus!
Well done on biking magazine leanfun. I always get confused too as I think of bikers as motorbikes but nephew does the other biking .

Well done on the bike mag win leanfun, glad you know someone who would love it.
sheils I have yet to face the new way of shopping ie: standing 2 meters apart ect. I will be out there shopping on sunday as 2 weeks will have passed. DS's GF will find it all different when she goes back to work Monday as there was none of the new measures in place when she went sick.I am glad they have the guards up at the tills now as the abuse she was getting she was worried a few times about customers smacking her one.
The weather can't make it's mind up today, one minute it's dull then raining then the suns out, they have said it's going to be warm this weekend,so we shall see. Anyway off to start my car, hope you all have a good day

Thanks Indie. I’ve won a children’s book about bees on twitter. Great for GD who will be 5 this month. Pleased to hear DS’s GF is better and going back to work. My nephew is a cook at a supermarket but has been on the till and has had a lot of abuse too and working long hours. Hope your car starts ok.Yesterday I had a wonderful surprise I had an email from 8 year old GD who lives in Scotland with her mother. I had sent her a proxinoscope to make for her birthday in January. It’s an animation spinner. We had bought on one of our trips to the BFI. She had managed to make it yesterday and wrote to say thank you and sent loads if gif pics of Pokemon. Her mother must have set her up with email. We have not heard from them since her birthday although DS did have a reply to say they are ok. I feel welled up just writing this. Mostly I’m ok about it as previously they were in America but after having them near for a year when they first came over we do miss them.
Looking forward to a warm weekend.Take care all and stay safe.2 -
Morning, well done on the book win leanfun.Your GD will love it. What a lovely surprise getting an email from your GD in Scotland.I hope she keeps in touch now she has an email. My car started ok, i have a slow puncture in one of the back tyres so i rung my garage up to double- check they are open monday, thankfully they are, they told me to bring it down anytime. I also need an MOT at the end of the month and i know we have 6 months grace but will book her in for when she is due. Just washing and pottering around today. Also making shopping list for tomorrow as need quite a few things.
Hope you all have a good weekend

Morning, another lovely day here, suns out and it's warm outside. We went shopping this morning...yay,lol. Because you have to go in shops in single file DS and his GF went into Tesco with a list each as i needed nearly everything and she was getting some things for her gran so i split the list in 2.. I went to Home Bargains for a few bits and queued up there so have all shopping for at least a week now. I don't understand some people. There was a mother with her daughter in my queue and when i walked past to get to back of line she pulled her daughter towards her, once in the shop she let the girl run riot and she kept running into people.Yesterday i was shocked to see a neighbour walk out back with a baby (not older than a couple of days) in her arms to meet a friend and her daughter and they were all over her and the baby...Where are these people coming from!....rant over.
Anyway hope you have a nice day
Stay safe..1
