Afternoon. sunny here today but a bit chilly. I have just closed windows and put cardi back on.
Glad the prosecco arrived sheils, hopefully it won't be too long before you can give it to your DD.
It happened to me the other day leanfun, i was logged out and didn't realise till later that day, lol. I thought it was strange the comp-liment button had gone again. Now i know why. Good to hear you got your shop, I went shopping when I dropped DS's GF off at work this morning and managed to get flour and yeast. It's the first time since all this started that I have been able to get it.
Work was ok yesterday, we have 5 suspected covid cases and they have all had tests just waiting for the results. I was on the nursing floor that is top floor and wasn't impressed as we are not allowed to use the lifts so had loads of stairs to climb up before i got there. We can't use the lifts as if it is covid it would contaminate them. There is only 1 person on the nursing floor who is suspect to the virus but i don't think she has it but time will tell. I am playing catch up with comps at the moment as working again tomorrow.
Hope you all have a good weekend, stay safe...0 -
Morning, it's raining here at the moment. I have been working and have 3 days off now. The residents that were tested for the virus are clear but have to stay in isolation for 2 weeks. That's the directive from public health now.
I had a win on the mag dailies yesterday £75 voucher to spend at Kally Sleep, so nice to have a win at the end of the month.
I am out food shopping later today and have housework to catch up with whilst off.
Hope you all have a good day, stay safe.2 -
Morning, I hope your neighbour is ok leanfun. Your right about the media they don't report that over 1 million people have recovered from the virus. It's great you have found a fish and meat supplier that's local. I haven't made a fish pie in ages. Our Tesco's have a fresh fish counter and sells mixed fish just for pies to make at home. Although it is closed at the moment with social distancing etc. I expect it put all your minds at rest talking to your DD and GKs they could see you were ok, and vice versa
We use facetime in work so residents can talk to their families, we had a lady with slight dementia talking to her son and she kept trying to look behind the ipad to see if her family were there. We were all laughing including her. I don't think she really understood how it worked but was so happy to see the family.
The sun is out here at the moment, although it's not very warm out but it is early. I hope you all have a lucky start to the month.
Stay safe..

Hi all,
Glad everyone is coping ok.
Well done on the win indie. Glad your residents are getting to speak to their families. It must be so difficult for some of them to understand. My mum gets a bit confused about us not going away etc as she can’t grasp that everywhere is shut down,
Glad you are getting your food deliveries leanfun. It is such a pain shopping now especially as you have to do it on your own so no-one to pack for you. I try just to go once a week but usually need to pop in for something. The local Tesco isn’t too bad for queues, just haven’t the patience for bigger stores. Can’t see me ever going clothes shopping etc again (when they open) while this virus is on the go as just wouldn’t queue. Was going to go to Wilkos when we went to next town but took one look at it and didn’t go.
Poor DD finished her night shift this morning and that is her on holiday for 17 days with nothing to do. Her ex is taking the dog up for her to mind while he is working nights so that will be something for her to do for a couple of days. It will be her birthday soon as well. DS1 should have been over from Sydney as well.
Got our May caravan holidays (including win) transferred to end September so got fingers crossed we will get them but who knows. Waiting on Parkdean to cancel our June Cornwall and Devon breaks so I can claim the money back. Expect our Silver Wedding break at start of July will need to be cancelled too but that is easy to do.

I wouldn't go shopping at clothes stores whilst this is on either sheils.I hate clothes shopping at the best of times.Glad to hear you have got the dates changed from May, hope the others change them for you as well. Is there no voluntary work your DD can do to get her out the house or maybe start a new hobby to keep busy whilst off. It's a long time to have off but at least she can go for a walk everyday.
I had a win on IG earlier have won some craft items worth £100 so great start to the month for me.

Morning It’s sunny again here so far. Sheils your DD must be very tired it’s going to be very strange having a holiday in these circumstances. Indie has some good suggestions. I’m sure she won’t be far from some good walks. Is she into photography? It’s a shame your DS1 won’t be over as planned. Good you can change some of your bookings. Not sure what will happen to our holiday this year, maybe later in the year. Not surprising your Mum is confused nothing like this has happened in our lifetime. Hope your Dad is doing ok. Here DH misses the football but is ok otherwise.Indie was so pleased to hear about your resident and FaceTiming. How her family must have been so pleased to see her and that she is being well looked after. Really made me smile.Indie well done on the Instagram win a good win for you. Hope items are useful to you when they come.Phoned neighbour yesterday she seems a lot better. Doctor has given her strong antibiotics. Who knows she has had a cough and sore throat but lots of this kind of thing about. We still saw her go out to the shops even though one of her sons shopped for her. This virus is a lot emotionally and mentally for a lot of people. Her husband died nearly three years ago and she has coped well until now.
My dear friend 92 is doing fine in her home. I think two have died there and they have isolated those with symptoms. Her DD was able to see her through the window and says she looks good. Her 21 year old GS had severe abdominal pains this week resulting in appendix being removed. They were worried about him going into hospital but he’s doing fine.
It seems strange that it’s weekend after being in weeks and weeks.
Take care everyone.1 -
Morning, it must be hard for some people to stay home when they have been on their own for so long. My DS's GF nan is use to going out everyday, to the shops or coffee morning with friends so she is finding it hard. She is 78 and drives all over the country to meetings and weekends away. But she is diabetic so is not chancing going out (or so she tells us) So glad to hear your friend in the home is doing well, and sure it cheered her and her DD up seeing each other. I hope the GS is home soon.
I have been busy this morning, went and got my meds, then done washing and got it out. Just catching up with comps now.
Have a good weekend

Morning, Nice sunny start to the day here. They have said to expect it to be 25 today. I have washing out and another lot in the machine. I have been changing my back garden and spent most of yesterday moving gravel from 1 area to another. I shall be out there again today until it gets too hot. DS has a blood test later so shall take him to that, and pick up some food shopping whilst out. Hope your all keeping well.

Morning, sorry Kymmie I didn't enter the comp. I hope you got it sorted out.
What lovely weather we have at the moment, very warm and all the flowers coming out.I saw lots of people and kids fishing last night on the way home(over on the water) but they were sitting quite a way apart. It seemed funny seeing them there after a couple of months of no-one. I am off out shopping later as worked yesterday so I need a few fridge bits. I hope you all have a lucky day1
