No idea if this is allowed, if not sorry.I've been occasionally contributing to a design site, Hatchwise, who are running an online poll called The Hatchies. The winner of this will receive $500 minus fees, managed to arrange with them that if I manage to secure the winning entry the whole $500 would go directly to charity with no fees.Nominated NHS Charities Together, so that would be $500 (approx. £400) going direct to a great cause if I can hustle enough votes. It shouldn't take to much to acquire enough votes as the present leader only has just over 400 votes.
Problem is I don't have a great Social Media presence, so any help or advice on how to generate votes and interest would be really appreciated.
There's no gain for me, it just seems an easy way to potentially win some money for charity. Thanks in AdvanceDave

Morning, well done on your wins sheils. Glad to hear your DD's hospital is clear of the virus.
Hope you enjoyed the wine leanfun.I was working today but they cancelled so have today off. I did all the washing yesterday, and went shopping so may get out in the garden later.

Afternoon, hope everyone is ok. I worked the early shift yesterday and was on the residential floor so it was quiet. My DS won a mag daily yesterday a bundle of Sweet Freedom items. That was a nice surprise. It's been raining here all day,and I can't see it stopping soon but the gardens need it, and it saves me watering the plants later. I see we have the lockdown for another 3 weeks, I don't think anyone is surprised at that. I am due to work again Sunday so tomorrow i have my meds to pick up and a few bits of shopping.Hope you all had a good day
Take care, stay safe.2 -
Hi all,
Weather been staying nice and sunny here although bit windy. Been doing lots of walking especially over golf course and woods.
Main hospital here down to 29 cases with 5 in intensive care. Was at 51 and 8 the other week.
DD been told she has to take her holidays at start of May now even though they cancelled them at start of this so she isn’t happy as will have nothing to do. DS1 was supposed to be coming then .
She has volunteered to work anywhere else but they don’t seem to need her. Things seem to be reasonably quiet. People with mental health problems must be hiding away too.
WD to your DS indie. Hope you get your meds and shopping ok.
Hope everyone well. XMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Morning, most of the staff where i work are working through their holidays as some were going abroad and others say the same, staying home they have nothing to do.I can understand why she wants to work as at least she is seeing people and getting out.
It's still raining here but not as heavy as it has been.
Hope you all have a good weekend

Glad to hear you found the jam leanfun, when your in all day it's the little things that matter. That was a lovely thing your friends daughter did, glad to hear they have recovered from the virus and the Home is free of it. I got the meds and only had to wait half an hour then popped into iceland to top freezer up, that's all i am doing for today.Just going to comp this afternoon.

Morning, nice sunny start to the day here. I have been working the last couple of days and have a couple of days off now.We have plenty of PPE in the home so that's reassuring not that we need the visors or masks as yet.
DS did the washing yesterday so that's all up to date, just have to go food shopping, then do a little housework whilst off.

Hi all,
The weather here has been amazing so been doing lots of walking.
Been getting all the supplies we want although a long wait to get in to the larger Tesco in next town.
Takes about an hour to get in and do a weekly shop.
Still a total of 29 Covid patients in our main hospital and under 5 in ICU. 30 deaths.
Been a few scares in DD’s mental health hospital. There seems to be another bad chest infection/pneumonia going about.
Hope you are all ok. XMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Morning, our Tesco's is a big one sheils and when i take DS's GF to work at 5.45 in the evening there is no queue so i will do some shopping then. I noticed when i took her in sat morning for 10am there was no line either. She came home upset the other day as finished her shift put her hoody on and was picking up a few bits for her nan. There was 4 woman at the end of an aisle talking, standing next to each other and when she asked to pass they were very abusive to her about her weight (she is a big girl). She just went and told her manager and then security who moved the woman on after having words with them about social distancing. They couldn't do more as she had her uniform covered up.Can't believe have nasty people can be at times like this.
There is a few people in the home I work in with bad chest infections, we wear masks just in case when we go in to them.It makes me wonder how many people have died from the virus but chest infections or pneumonia was put down as cause of death.
Glad to hear the letter came for your sister leanfun and she can work at home. I hope your friend in the home is ok and can get over the virus. I recieved my box yesterday and DS grabbed the water bottle, lol. It looks a nice one and i don't use them but he does.
It's lovely here again and i opened the windows at 7, done some housework and just relaxing now. I was working but they cancelled so not too bothered as also booked for tomorrow and sunday. I thought i was going to have to buy a new keyboard today as threw a mug of coffee over mine, lol. I picked the mug up and hand decided to do it's own thing and the drink went all over the screen, keyboard and desk. I just dried it off best i could and it seems ok at the moment. Anyway hope you all have a good day, stay safe..2 -
Hi,
Glad you both got your prizes leanfun and indie.
My DDs Prosecco win arrived this morning. It has a Superhero label and says thanks on it.
Goodness knows when she will be able to come here and drink it.
We have 3 birthdays coming up and one is hers. Will be dreadful not to celebrate and cook her a meal. At least her 21st and graduation were last year I suppose.
Everything had been quiet for her in mental health but she is picking up overtime in another ward, the one under hers for less serious patients as there is starting to be an increase in patients .
She can’t stand being on her own all the time so asking for hours anywhere! She is dreading having to take her holidays and seeing nobody for 17days plus not celebrating her birthday.
Have got her a lovely , cute cactus Pandora charm so far.
You will be glad your sister isn’t working now leanfun.
There aren’t any big stores near here indie but an assistant did say after 6pm was quieter.
Not travelling to shop at that time. Little local Tesco isn’t too busy but can’t get a lot in it.
Shame your son’s gf was upset in the store. People can be so unkind and stupid.
Take care all xMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media
