Morning, I am an early bird today, lol. Making the most of the weather as it's set to change tomorrow onwards. Not that I mind as it's been too hot for me and unbearable working in it, especially when I have to shower people with a mask on and the door closed. I have a couple of days off now. I have a telephone call booked today with the vet as Charlie has another boil thing come up in between his toes so need anti-biotics. I have to send pictures of his foot and that's not easy as he hates anyone touching them at the best of the time. You have to have a phone/video consultation and they will see him if need be, It costs £45 for the phone call and if I need to take him in it don't cost anything else. We will have to wait and see.
I had a nice win on IG yesterday a tree of life pendant on the Clogaugold competition, lovely start to the new month. It must have been you saying it's about time we had a win leanfun, so I am saying it's about time you had a nice win. lol.
Now you can go out for a walk everyday will you be having one or staying in,my DS's GF's nan is staying in.
Hope you have a lucky day
    Stay safe..

The vet gave me anti-biotics for a week but she thinks he could be prone to boils in between his nails. She said they can eventually cut them out if it keeps happening. She was a locum vet so we will see how the meds do. He isn't in pain and is walking and running normally which makes me think it's a boil. Love the sound of the large co-op i have never been in a big one and use to love shopping in ours but it closed down. Sorry to hear your holiday was cancelled, have you rebooked for next year?
I hope your DD2 has a good birthday, although it will be a different one she knows you would be there if you could.
I had another win on IG an iced coffee BBQ kit. Sounds interesting will have to wait and see when it comes.
I am working tomorrow, the home wanted me to swap Thursday for tomorrow so I agreed, then I am not due in till Sunday so should have a nice few days off.
I hope you have had a good day..

Morning, I did have another win kind of, lol. It was on the cement instant win. You only enter once a month and I have had a cap from them before but they said "Congratulations you have won "a no-win" please leave your details, I sent them so it will be interesting to see what i won.
Our manager has asked for tests for all our residents and staff. Don't know if they will let me take the test being agency but they are doing them next week. Like you i doubt the virus is easing up but time will tell.
It must have been great for your DD1 and GD to get out even if it was raining. We had rain on and off  yesterday it wasn't heavy and i loved sitting outside on my breaks now the heat has gone.
I didn't notice much more traffic on the roads yesterday but the school opposite the home was busy,so lots have kids have gone back there.
I am going food shopping later, other than that catching up with comps. Hope you have a lucky day
    Stay safe..

Afternoon, been busy at work but have a few days off now.We have devised a way relatives can visit but it's only for half hour at a time and they can't come in the home. They will sit at a table in the garden and residents will sit in a room at the other end of the table.( on the ground floor, lol) They can only have 30 mins as there is  80 residents .Some relatives have already started moaning it's not long enough ect but it is a thing the home has come up with as they are not opening them to visitors yet. You can't please everyone.
It's raining hard here at the moment. We had thunder and torrential rain yesterday,it stopped in the night and started again an hour ago.Wish it would stop now i have some plants need planting, lol.
    Take care and stay safe

    Hi,
Just popped in to see how everyone is.
Been pretty dreadful here TBH - won't bore you with all the details but DD still off work with broken bones in hand and pinky. DH and I were in accident involving her dog while helping her with him because of that and ended up in A&E with stitches etc. We are both OK now. Been pretty bad in Scotland as nothing much has really been relaxed . This area has hardly had any cases and none for ages so it makes it seem worse I think. Mind you people aren't keeping to the rules now anyway. There are a lot more police on the roads though and officially we can only travel 5miles unless visiting family and not supposed to go too far. We were naughty and visited DS2 and family which was lovely.
Still a big worry with DS3 on Universal credit and living with gf and her parents so far away from here. DS2 on furlough and no idea if his house purchase will still go through as market still closed here. Thnk he will be taking a welding type job with his gf's Grandfathers firm as probably no chance of many hotels opening up properly this year.
Have booked a couple of nights away on 21st July near Whitley Bay so hoping to get away then - if we are allowed out of Scotland!
DH reckons he knows at least 4 different ways to escape over the border though!

OMG sheils, sounds as if you have been in the wars (sending you all gentle hugs). We have been the same here with people going out and meeting in large groups.I had a giggle at your DH knowing 4 different ways to escape. I hope you can get away as sounds you need it.

Morning.  Sheils sorry to hear of all your troubles.  Do hope your DD is better soon.  It’s very worrying for your DS’s re jobs.  There certainty are going to be some very hard times ahead. I had a very short visit from DD1 and GKS last Sunday but it rained soon after they arrived so they had to drive home.  Last time the we saw them was first week of March.   Yes, people are not sticking to rules here too but all we can do is try to keep ourselves safe.  Trouble is so much is unknown about virus.    Like Indie I smiled at your DH’s escape route.
We were on skype with GS yesterday for his birthday.  He was happy and so was his sister and it was a nice day for them to be out in the garden.
We watched Goodbye Christopher Robin last night on Channel 4. We were lucky enough to go to the premiere and spoke to Margot Robbins.  The young Christopher Robbins was brilliant but a very sad film.
    Take care all.

Thanks both! DD moved in with us after breaking her bones and for a while we were all looking after each other! DD was put down to half pay so was desperate to get back to work so they said she could go back for half her hours on admin work next week but her boss doesn’t want her to be back until fit as the ward like a war zone he says. All the wards at the mental hospital are filling up. No-one anything to do at main hospital So roles have been reversed. Been no-one with virus in hospital in our area for weeks. Anyway, she was due holidays in 2wks so she has got a week she should have got off while she was signed off changed to next week and now off on holiday for another 2wks and nothing going to do. She is not happy especially as if she was fit she would have got loads of overtime etc.
I don’t blame people breaking the rules in our area as no cases here and our lockdown not being eased very much at all. Will see what happens on Thurs. If the driving rules aren’t relaxed we will just be ignoring them, we do to a certain amount anyway.
Not been comping very much at all as can’t get interested.
Didn't know Christopher Robin film was on leanfun, will try to get it on catchup.
We have stopped paying the TV licence so haven’t been keeping on eye on what has been on.
We don’t watch much TV although did tend to watch too much news! Been catching up on Taggart from years back. (Glasgow cop series)

Morning, It must have been lovely seeing GS on skype leanfun. I don't skype but DS and his GF do.
I did see that your lockdown is different to ours sheils and seems to be moving at a slower pace but if it keeps a second wave from hitting it will be worth it in the end. I hope your DD can get back to work soon. My DS is waiting for his new manager to ring him as they want to open the cinema and recon they have all the restrictions in place but did say some can stay on furlough. DS wants to stay on furlough till his hospital appointments are sorted. He had a scan last week but is waiting to see a ENT specialist and they are making phone calls but not seeing anyone yet. Everything seems a mess since this virus hit.
