Morning just dull here so far and cold. Indie hope your DS’s GF is no worse and the tests arrive today. Last May when my sister was extremely breathless her doctor sent strong antibiotics and she improved straight away the same happened with our neighbour. There do seem to be a lot of coughs about. DD2’s son had cough last weekend and she took him to a walk in testing centre beneath her and test was negative. My sister phoned yesterday her cough is bad again and no energy she couldn’t go to work.Duncan’s dad I would be fuming too if all you could do was fill in a form when you need help. Take care if you have snow now. We too are looking forward to the 5 degrees heatwave. Thanks for the idea about pineapples we often have them so will see what I can do.Sheils sounds like a lot of fractures around your way take care.
Mummy2threeboys hope you are feeling a bit better.

Good Morning
The temp has dropped 2 degrees since we first went out this morning but the sun is shining and that puts a smile on the faces at least
No idea how long they are going to take to respond to the online form, Dad went to the chemist but they would not do anything and told him to contact the GP who then told him to contact the podiatrist who then told him about the form, so far no-one has looked at the toes and he can barely walk without limping now but I drag him out anyway.
Out soon for our 10am walk, going to Screwfix to get some filler, Dad is repairing some damage to the walls as a prelude to a new coat of paint, not sure when that will happen but at least he is being seen to be making an effort

Morning, same here Duncan and leanfun, I am looking forward to temps rising. It was another cold night here and not much warmer now.
I now have 2 sick, DS got up not feeling good and took temp and it's well over 38. So he and his GF are isolating in separate bedrooms as they don't want me to get it but as I told them, what will be will be. We had a text ref covid tests and they will be here today before 9 pm. I hope they come earlier so I can get them posted back. Let's hope the form on line goes through quick Duncan's dad and you can get seen.
I hope your sister is ok leanfun, and she feels better soon. Our numbers are going up as well Sheils, we were taking sick people from other counties but the local hospital is nearly full now. Let's hope we can all get the vaccine soon.
Have a good day

Been a lovely day here with the sun shining but still so many slippy surfaces we didn't manage much of a walk. There was some drying though which was good!Starting to be a bit of a panic in this area as cases go up as we haven't had many before. Two really bad areas to the east and west of us and although 40 miles in each direction we only have two main hospitals. Only 29 in hospital with 5 in ICU but that went up by 10 overnight. At least we don't feel our lockdown is for no reason like we did last time I suppose.I hope you will all be fine indie. Annoying when you are waiting on your jab. Will be 11 days since DD got hers so starting to feel she might be safer soon. The over 80s starting to get their vaccines next week here and the over 70s second 2 weeks in Feb. Think I might get mine before May but hoping DH gets his in Feb.Shame about your dads feet Duncan. Feels like a 3rd world country here nowadays. Unless you have Covid no-one seems to be able to help you!Hope you and your DH are keeping OK leanfun. We are going to be more careful now that the cases are getting closer to us! At least the car has had its service and Xmas is well past so nothing we have to do really. Resigned to not being able to celebrate my 60th except with DH and DD.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Good Morning
it was minus 7C here this morning for our first walk and is not much better now at minus 3C bring on the heatwave that was promised otherwise Dad might not take me out again today
Dad went to the shops without me today as there were things needed that are too heavy to carry home, I don't want him to be using that as an excuse too often, I miss the walk and we never seem to make it up during the rest of the day. He did get me some roast beef and some dental sticks so I'll let him off this time.

Morning. Still cold here but not as brrr as up your way Duncan. Know you missed the walk yesterday when your Dad went shopping but hope you enjoyed the treats. Hope your Dad’s feet are not too bad to take you for some walks. The Oat cakes sounded great. Hope the promised heatwave comes soon.Indie hope your two are not suffering too much. Let’s hope the test results come soon. My sister is a bit better. She’s had a test too. Sheils great your daughter will have her second jab soon. Here DH has not heard anything yet. Locally we have not heard of anyone having the vaccine.
Know what you mean about birthdays Sheils. DH has his near end of January and last year we had to cancel family coming as we had the worst colds ever. When DDs came with GKs in Feb half term and we had a meal for him it wasn’t the same.
I’ve won a big book about railways around Manchester it was a gleam that I normally never enter. I was thinking of a friend who is a train enthusiast and lives in Greater Manchester. I’m hoping they will post it to him directly.Take care all.3 -
Morning well done on the win leanfun. Your friend will love it.
I hope the temps rise for you and your dad Duncan, our weather said it would be 5 today here. But let's wait and see.
We have the test results back and we are all positive! So have to isolate until the 18th. One good thing is as we are all positive we can mix with each other instead of staying in separate rooms. We managed to get a slot with Iceland delivery on Wednesday. We did try Tesco's but no joy for next week. Hopefully, we will be immune to it now but we still can't let our guard down
Hope you all have a good day

Hope you will all be better soon indie. Annoying when you were hoping for your vaccine soon.
At least you haven’t been working so don’t have to worry that you have spread it into the care homes. Getting supplies will be a pain though in the meantime. Thinking of you. XMar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Ho Indie as you say you all have it together. Hope it’s not too bad for you all. As Sheils says good thing you have not been working. Great you have Iceland order. Last order we had they sent an email to say there was something they could not deliver and for us to choose a replacement. Our DD1 ran out of some things yesterday and her coop delivered within a couple of hours and she said no delivery charge.Take care all.4

Good Afternoon
With the warmth cometh the rain, only drizzle so far but glad to get rid of the frost at any price.
Indie - hope you all get through this without too much bleargh.
I caught a mouse this morning and brought it all the way home but Dad would not let me bring it inside so I cruelly played with it until it stopped moving then Dad lifted it and put it into a bag then into the bin.
