Afternoon.   Very dull and raining a lot here so my idea of getting some fresh air has gone no walk.  I have opened windows!  Brrr.    Yes, another lockdown.  Enjoy your bacon butties Sheils.  We were in a bubble with our DS but he’s miles away.  Agree with you Sheils it’s hard for young people. You could get lost in thoughts. Indie great idea to sort a draw out.  I thought Of doing some sorting out must get a move on.  Hope your Dr’s phone call is productive for you and you might be able to get the vaccine through your surgery.  Well done on the Palladium tickets.
Duncan take care of your Dad and no mad dashes. Great you saw some deer the other day.
Mummy2threeboys hope you are beginning to feel a bit better.
    Take care all.

Good Morning from Frosty Fife :)
Sheils, Dad's car gets collected and returned by the garage when it gets it's service and MOT so he does not have to worry about finding something to do while it is in, we just carry on as normal.
We used to see the deer just about every day but then the must have found new feeding areas as no-one saw them for about 9 months, maybe they are better at social distancing than humans and stayed away because of the virus but it is good to see them back again, they are so majestic dashing across the open playing fields.
Hard frost today -3 and looks like snow tonight into tomorrow, we did not know when we were well off with all that rain of a month ago
Shopping today, going to walk down and see if there is a queue or not, strange how people that don't know how to fill their time seem to go wandering round a supermarket and get in the 'real' shoppers way.
    Take Care.

Hiding from Dad just now, he is in a really bad mood.
First he found that someone had filled his bin without asking since he put it out last night and he could hardly get any more in it before we went out to the shops.
At the shop he was through the till and packing his rucksack when he remembered that his Lidl app card had not been scanned, too late said the checkout staff, it can be done before the shopping goes through but not after the transaction is complete.

Afternoon cold here but no snow or ice.  When husband had car service and MOT in July the garage came and collected the car.  It’s quite a long bus journey from here to the garage so husband was very pleased.   Just had an Iceland Order delivered.  I had the right time in mind today.
Duncan know how your Dad feels about bins for weeks we seemed to have problems then we discovered it was a bin man going along before the the lorry and he putting other people’s rubbish into our bins.  Husband had to keep washing bins.  Then it suddenly stopped.
Duncan husband is the same as your Dad if a reward isn’t scanned.
    Take care all.

Morning, we had a hard frost last night and everything is still white. I have seen our dustman check bins then put other rubbish in if there is room, suppose it saves them time dragging more bins to the truck. I hope your dad's mood has improved Duncan with a new day. It has happened to us at Lidls and we couldn't scan after. But cashiers have also told us halfway through a shop as well.
Glad you got your delivery times right this time from Iceland leanfun. Hope you got everything you ordered.
I have nothing planned for today as yet.
Hope you all have a good day
    Stay safe.

Morning.  Just cold here.  Didn’t sleep well after watching what was happening in America.    Indie we didn’t need a lot but everything came with order.  Yesterday we had some peaches left from last week’s Odd Box.  I didn’t fancy eating them raw and found a simple recipe. Slice peaches in half, remove stones, place in baking dish,  sprinkle with a very little sugar, sprinkle with flaked almonds bake for 15 minutes.  Recipe said serve with ice cream but we had custard.  They were delicious.
    Take care all.

Yes, it was shocking what was going on over there. Your peach dish sounds very nice leanfun. Might give it a go myself.
It's all happening here today, DS's GF got up with a high temp and cough. We took temp 3 times at different times and it's fluctuating between 37.7 and 37.9 so covid tests have been sent for. Hopefully, they will be here tomorrow and we can get results in 3-4 days but will keep an eye on things. She has rung in sick and so has DS. I cancelled my DR's appointment tomorrow but did get to ask about the vaccine. I was told they are going by priority list and will be called. So hopefully I won't have to wait long.

    Good Afternoon :)
Dad has calmed down since yesterday, I don't think it was any of the bin men that dumped the rubbish in our bin as I would have noticed them in the street and it had to have happened through the night.
A little snow here overnight, about 10mm but it started to melt by 10am and is all but gone now, looking forward to Sunday when the temp is due to rise to 5C, it will be like a heatwave.
Dad was advised to get in touch with a podiatrist about his dodgy toes (athletes foot) and he tried phoning all afternoon yesterday with no luck, he got them this morning and she said it was sheer chance that she was in the office as she was not working during this lockdown. She told dad to fill in the form online and she would get back to him as soon as possible, I could see steam coming out of Dad's ears
leanfun - Dad's mum used to do a similar dish to that but the peaches were baked into a sponge then served with either custard or ice cream, it also works with pineapple.
Porridge Oats biscuits being baked here today and I get the crumbs once the tray has cooled and been sliced :)
    Take Care

    Hi everyone,
Been seriously cold here and not even managed any kind of walk today as just too slippy.

Our Mitsubishi garage is 30 miles away Duncan so they won't collect the car. The salesman used to take it up for us few years ago but he moved to another town. Car is only 2 years old so has to go to the garage and service is included in price we paid. We used to go for lunch in the old days when the cars went in and we used to get a lift into town and back if we wanted them. Garage has actually moved now so nearer to town which helps. Anyway we did manage a walk along the river there which was nice although spent a lot of it walking on the grass as nothing was gritted. Seemingly the local hospital dealt with 30 fractures the other day!
That will be helping the situation just now.

Hope you are all ok indie. Must be a worry. Cases have rocketed here since lockdown. We have one of highest rates per 100,000 in Scotland now.

Like the peaches idea too leanfun. Dont often buy them as sometimes they don't ripen but expect they would be ok like that even if they didn't.
