Morning just cold here and a bit dull. Ho Mummyto3boys you described last year perfectly as being in pause. Yesterday I asked husband what we had been doing last year and apart from somethings in January that was it. Mummy2threeboys do hope you feel better soon. Hope you have results of test soon and it’s negative. Way back in March two family members I was worried about getting the virus had severe symptoms but recovered very quickly. It’s strange but DS lives in a valley too and often the fog doesn’t lift.Duncan brrr to you going for walks sounds freezing out your way, us southerners aren’t up for it. Having said that I think I’ll have to go out for a walk by myself as it’s too cold for DH. Must be very picturesque if everywhere is covered in a layer of snow. It’s the ice I’m fearful of. It could be the toilet seat hinges are plastic and not going to last very long. Nothing seems to last very long these days.
Sheils hope your aunt didn’t hurt herself too badly. It certainly can takes longer to recover when you are older. Often think of you FireFly going out to feed the birds need to take great care or if it’s bad not go out and throw food from door. Thanks for the good wishes for us Inners FireFly same to you. All we wish for now in 2021 are really simple things but more importantly stopping the virus spreading.
Take care all.3 -
Good Afternoon
We have the sun out here, there was a frost overnight but it's gone now. Hope your feeling better Mummy2threeboys and your test is back soon and negative. Let's hope we can all get our jabs in the next few months and we will be able to get out a bit more.
Your right about falls taking longer to get over when your older leanfun. I hope your aunt wasn't too shaken up by it sheils.
Hope you all have a good afternoon

Morning all. A bit brighter here now no snow so far. Great that you are taking care FireFly. You reminded me that I have a pair of unused grippers at the bottom of the cupboard will dig them out.
Our garage with other freezer is at bottom of the garden. We Were on FaceTime to the two GKs in Scotland yesterday. The boy was 12 and looks very grown up. He had to quarantine before Christmas as someone in school bubble had virus but he was fine. His sister is as active as ever dancing around for us. We managed to get nine year old GS who lives near us on FaceTime at the same time and he went crazy when he saw his cousins but did manage to sing a good Happy Birthday. Great to see them and talk.Stay safe all.3 -
Morning all,
Feeling cold again. Not been able to do as much walking as some pavements and roads have remained white for days. Going to try going to next town and walking round the loch. Will pay a visit to Tesco too as out of fruit and veg. Made ourselves some fancy meals over New Year as just on our own so be back to normal ones now. Still a holiday here until Tuesday really but everything shut anyway so doesn’t matter. Car is booked in for a service at a town 30 miles away on Wednesday so hoping garages aren’t made to stop working before then. It is a prepaid service which came with car so has to be done there. I am worried about extra restrictions being brought in in Scotland.
Hope you are feeling better soon mummy2 , glad everyone else seems to be coping ok.

Afternoon all, I'm out of bed, but still feel "off". Blocked up nose and sore throat/stiff neck, same as symptoms as Bil and Sil, they both tested positive. (Not that we have seen them) Middle son has started coughing,
Knitting, Baking, Reading, writing and taking down some of the Decs.
Sorry Duncan "I can't help him but as he says it will mean that the job gets done twice as quick if I don't help." It made me chuckle, My hubby likes to watch me fixing things, I find it very off putting. Hope you sorted loo seat out, I agree they never seem to last long anymore.
Have a lovely day all xCompers challenge 27/70

Evening, it's been very cold here today. I had to have a hot bath to warm up, as couldn't get warm at all.
I hope you were able to get out for your walks today Duncan and didn't pull your dad too much.
Great you spoke to your GK's leanfun and lovely that your GS sung Happy Birthday to his cousin.
Fingers crossed you get the service done sheils,I think we will all be in lockdown soon the way the numbers are going up.
Let's hope you get your results back soon Mummy2threeboys, I think it's the not knowing that is worse sometimes. I hope your son is ok.
That was a good idea ff to get the new grippers. I am sure you will get the use out of them
I forgot to say I got an email on the last day of the year from Heart radio telling me I had won 4 tickets to a pantomime 2021, at the London Palladium. And they would be in touch nearer the time. A nice end to the year.
Anyway I hope you all had a good day
Stay safe

Good Morning all
Black ice all around here both last night and this morning but we managed to get round without falling over although Dad did shout at me a few times to 'slow down', I wish I knew what that means, he seems to say it a lot. We are due to see +5 degrees today so that will be a nice change.
M23B - when Dad is down a ground level he becomes a fair target for cuddles and kisses so naturally they take priority over any work that he thinks that he is going to be doing.
It's a 'wait and see' day today, if the weather does warm up and Dad's sore toe gets better then we may get to go a walk at 10am.
Take Care3 -

Hi nikki, I have just started to sign up/log in to sites so too early to tell but it does mean that I can enter more comps than I have been doing, not sure if newsletter sign up would yield anything extra, at least they say it doesn't matter.
Saw a couple of deer on our second walk, we would have got closer but Dad's noisy crunching feet on the grass scared them away.4 -
Morning all,
Well that’s the lockdown here again. Have been expecting it and probably not quite as bad as I expected although Sturgeon could tighten it yet. As far as I can tell our bubble is still allowed , DD stayed last night anyway so hope so! Can’t see anywhere that you are allowed to take car to garage but I assume so as a safety reason. Garage phoned today to say we couldn’t wait in waiting room and they couldn’t give us a lift into town tomorrow. Going to walk to DDs from there anyway and have bacon rolls with her so not bothered.
Got no plans until mid April so got fingers firmly crossed that these vaccines are brought out quickly so life can resume. No confidence in our politicians getting this right. Poor DD seems to get lots of messages from friends who was so upset and depressed. It is especially sad for the young people as they can’t do anything. At least families and older people are used to staying in with each other.
Not as cold today so hopefully get out a walk soon.
Hope everyone is well.
