indie said:DH had a DR'S appointment this morning, then I dropped him off at work. By taking him to work it saves him leaving early as he has a 20-minute walk then a 30 min bus ride. It takes me15-20 mins to drive him. Then picked him up when he finished and took his GF to work she finishes at 10.15 so will pick her up then.
You took your DH to work then took his GF to work as well.
Am I missing something here?3 -
Good Morning All
Another cold start but not as cold as last evening was.
Nothing planned for today but Dad is 3 miles behind his target for the week so far so I might get some extra walks in
Someone has asked after a rug that Dad posted on Freegle so I will sit outside until he has vacuumed and washed it ready for collection.

Good Morning all,Well done on the win indie and your bargain leanfun.Shame you didn't get to Montrose Duncan, love the beach there. It is a horrid wet day here so dont think we will be going out. We did some Xmas shopping in Dumfries yesterday followed by a Tesco shop and it feels like such hard work these days. I really hate the masks as my glasses steam up and it feels like I am not myself!Anyway we got all the cards and a few small presents including all Alfie's presents so will order the bigger presents online.Everyone is hoping to come here for Xmas so fingers crossed it is allowed as dont want the police knocking at the door when we are all eating our Xmas dinner.Scotland's Tier 4 lockdown starting tonight with "legal" travel restrictions. DS2s fiancee got a shock as she has been furloughed for 4 wks because of it. She lives in a Tier 3 but works for Stirling Council which will be in Tier 4, hopefully they will make her wages up and Alfie has been being looked after by her dad as they werent sure about the childminder being safe enough so she wont need to pay for childminding they dont need.Heading to caravan at Pease Bay again next week which is just in the Scottish Borders but really close to East Lothian which goes into Tier 2 on Tuesday so we can go into that area for a change of scene.Hope everyone is keeping their mood up ok. It is difficult to stay positive which is why we like to get away. It makes things more normal for us and we do be as careful as we can.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Evening everyone. No Duncan's dad you are not missing anything here. When I am not at work I drop them off at work. They insist on paying towards petrol, so I don't mind. It keeps my car running as it is getting old now so needs to have a run and not just sit there.
Our weather has been the same here sheils, rain, rain and more rain. Your right about the shopping, I went to Tesco's this morning and there were 3 lines waiting to go in and the lines were getting longer all the time.
I think they have said the police won't be knocking on doors on Christmas day, so you should be safe there.
Hope you all had a good day

Very dull morning here. Indie I don’t drive but DH has always driven ours around. Indie great your prize came quickly. Meat arrived yesterday so we now have a well stocked freezer. I made a big lamb casserole yesterday. First casserole I’ve made for years so we will see.We were planning to go to visit DS today and bring him home but we didn’t have a good night last night so will probably wait. Kept waking up In the night think with cold. Need to change duvet. Supposed to be a fine weekend here after the rain. Pleased we are not going to the supermarkets Indie and Sheils. DH is the same as you with masks Sheils. Our DDS are making their own plans for Christmas so I think it will be just us and DS. He’s by himself and has been shielding too. I think everything will be very different this Christmas still with the vaccine news next year should be better.
Duncan it sounds brrrrr your way. I’d be frozen us southerners are not up for the cold. I wouldn’t like the fireworks either and would be hiding too. FireFly wrap up when you go to feed the birds.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Good Morning All
Lovely sunrise this morning with all the shades of red, pink and orange that nature is so good at showing off.
Have a good trip away sheils, hope the weather holds for you.
Not so cold here at 4 degrees today, hopefully it will get warmer as the day goes on.
We are off to the shop again today to get some of the stuff that Dad did not have room for in his rucksack yesterday and judging by the list he still has, we will be going back again tomorrow for more.

Having a nice break and weather been good to us. Walked to the end of the Southern Upland Way today, it starts in our area so nice to see the end of it. Nice that E Lothian has gone into Tier 2 as we can visit now.My mum turned 80 today but obviously couldn't have done anything even in a Tier 2 area.Had a meal out today which always makes us feel more normal even if no-one else there! Now have one son unemployed and two of sons partners furloughed so very worrying.DD says the mental health situation really bad too with serious under staffed situations. She is being attacked regularly so having to think about different careers.Hope everyone is ok.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

It’s a late one from me tonight. I dozed off earlier so doing some comps while I’m awake now! I’m whacked out with work. We are short staffed anyway so double the pressure. I’d got a message on Sunday from track & trace saying I’d been in contact with someone with covid so have to isolate.
I knew I’d only been to work & back so contacted the HT and she said no one in my bubble has covid. Two other ppl also got message. It turns out my phone and others synced with someone who’s child tested positive but they had to put on their phone because the child was too young. Was all a bit bizarre but we’ve manage to contact track n trace who suggested deleting and re-installing app to return to work today!
Everyone’s houses look so lovely with the lights and trees. Im looking forward to putting Xmas decs up as soon as DD’s bday is over with and DH has finished laying carpet in living room. Happy bday to your mum Sheils and hope she’s had a great day. Hope things work out soon for your DS.
Hope everyone is well and good luck with some wins.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!3 -
Good Morning
Glad that you are relaxing away sheils, ask your mum if she knows that she shares her birthday with Billy Connolly and Pete Best
After 3 days visiting the shops, we get a day off today and now Dad is struggling to think of somewhere to take me.

Morning. We went to visit our DS yesterday in a village in Kent as it was his birthday too. So many birthdays on one day. Hope your Mum had a good day Sheils. Didn’t know it was Billy Connolly’s birthday too, Duncan. Sheils your walk sounds great. I went for a walk yesterday with our DS around the village it was great to see the countryside after so long. He’s by himself and we have had nobody here for ages so we are in a bubble with him. He did have a call from his two children. His son said he is enjoying his new school, he started secondary school in August. The pair of them seem fine.Sheils sorry to hear about your family, especially your DD. She worked so hard for her qualifications, this virus situation is causing havoc everywhere. Really feel for her.Wingo do try to take care as you will still be recovering from the virus and your work is exhausting. Pleased to hear you were able to sort out the track and trace request. Can’t believe your DD is 21 hope she enjoyed her birthday. Wins are in very short supply Wingo but I did have a win of a Devon calendar on Monday.Duncan pleased your Dad has all his shopping in and hope he thought of an interesting walk for you and you might have missed the rain.
Take care all.4
