lol, Duncan, I hope your dad enjoyed the flavoursome muzzle. Enjoy your walks today.
Your GS has grown so much sheils, it must have been lovely to see him again. Sorry to hear your DS won't be able to start work lets hope its not in tier 3 for long.
Hi ff glad to hear you have your delivery booked for Christmas, I read many people are in queues to book and can't get a slot.
Hope you can get out for your walks leanfun, the weather is not good at the moment but they have said the rain and winds should be gone by mid-week.
I should have gone for a blood test today as DR's but they cancelled it earlier as the nurse has hurt her leg so have to ring up and book a test at a hospital. It's only to check everything is ok and the meds are not doing any damage. I haven't got anything else planned today as yet.
    Have a good day

Morning.  It’s fine but dull here.  Duncan didn’t mean you to give Dad such a nuzzle but thanks anyway.  Hope you pick up all you need today at the shops great it’s fine your way. Odd about the satellite tracker recording such a fast walk, pleased its back to normal.  Blink and we would have missed you at that speed.
FireFly it’s great you have the online shopping sorted. We have just had a few days of meals from the freezer with only a bit of veg added so that’s been a break.
Indie we need to start going out for walks again even though they are short.  We did one last week but it was quite windy and later DD had chest pains.  I think it frightened him.   Sorry to hear you have to go to hospital for blood test. These things are not straight forward to organise.  Enjoy your time off.
Sheils great you saw GS.   They grow up so fast at his age learning something new each month but they are hard work once they are in the move.  Sorry about your DS these are very uncertain times.
    Stay safe all.

Morning.  Yesterday we heard that our friend, who suffered from Parkinson’s died on Sunday night.   He was a year older than DH. This disease is so terrible we can only hope that one day there is more progress in the research into it.   When he was diagnosed a few years ago we found out there are now so many new cases of it diagnosed in the UK each year.  Life can be hard.

Sorry to hear about your friend leanfun. I see it a lot in care homes and it is a wicked disease that hopefully, they will find a cure for one day. My DS's GF uncle has it and he is in and out of the hospital a lot. Your right about life being hard.
It's a cold start to the day here, I have the heating on and keep turning it up. They have said the temps will drop and some places will have snow.
I had a win on IG last night a £50 Morrisons voucher, notebook, pencils, and some Artic coffee. that was a nice surprise and I can pick a few bits for Christmas.
    Have a good day

    • Thanks Indie.   Sorry to hear about DS’s GF’s uncle.    Great you have won a prize on Instagram.  I just looked over there and thought none of us are winning anything!   Well done great to have a voucher if you have a Morrison’s near you or online. Just right for Christmas. 😍

It’s cold but sunny here.  I was wondering about going for a walk and then remembered we had a fish order coming and they don’t give a time.  Well order has just been delivered. So fresh salmon for dinner and we could go out.
Don’t know how the indent happened!

I was of the same mind ref not winning and did say to DS i was thinking of taking a break from comping. This win has made me think again, lol. We have 2 Morrisons a short drive away so will pop in there when the voucher arrives. Funny you're having fish as I brought some Basa fillets for DS and my tea. His GF only eats prawns so she is cooking herself a pasta dish. Hope you get your walk later. It's started to rain here so it may warm up a little.

    Good Morning All
Great about the win indie, we could do with more here to cheer Dad up but as we enter so few, I have my doubts, he has never been one of life's winners anyway, even that golf club last month was a comp that he entered absent mindedly because it was one of the few that did not have strings attached (fb, tw etc)
Still blowing a hoolie up here and with the rain to come again later it could be a long day.
We are off to the shop again this morning, more fruit required, I don't know what Dad does with it, I mean it's not even as if it is real food.
Dad has put himself forward for another vaccine trial after reading about it on the BBC website, should get an answer back soon.

Morning.  Hope the weather improves for you Duncan and Sheils.   Duncan’s Dad well done on eating so much fruit.  We are trying to get the through the fruit that comes in the box.  That’s one good thing about lockdown we both are eating more fruit.  Duncan’s Dad well done on applying for the vaccine trial.  The news in vaccines has been very good.

We had messages from DH’s sister in LA yesterday.  She’s fine and has been going out walking really early in the mornings.  Normally she goes dancing a number of times a week.  She lives by herself in Santa Monica and says people there have not taken precautions and they have high rates of virus and hospital is full.   She has a daughter who lives a distance still in LA.  They are going to have a curfew from 10pm to 6am starting tomorrow.  I think she is worried about what Is going to happen. Her son in laws family are putting pressure on about Thanksgiving get together next week but she says she is not going. That’s bigger than Christmas for them. I agree with her everyone’s health is more important.

Forgot I felt I had had a win yesterday.  The Smithfield company I have bought meat from has a new website with massive increases in price.  One item I have bought was 25% higher but another was 40%.  I had thought their prices were very low and would go up but not by 40%.  The site was jumping about so I decided to phone them with the order.  The lady said they had passed the website to the delivery people!   She asked if I was an old customer and if so I could have the order at the old prices!  Made my day.    The company usually sell to high end restaurants and hotels but when lockdown started they were desperate and started home deliveries at wholesale prices.  Their meat is from English farmers and is great that and the fish has been one of the pluses for us in lockdown.
The lady did tell me if a site is wobbly to clear it from history and go into it again. Well I will be phoning in my order in future.
    Stay safe all.

    Good Evening
Well I say that but more fireworks at 6pm drove me up to my 'safe place' on the landing and I am just venturing downstairs now but not ready to let Dad take me out a walk yet.
It has been a dry and cold day today with the temp not getting much above 3 degrees even in the sunshine and it is now down below zero.
Plenty of walks earlier and even got to play with one of my pals for a while when we met :)
Dad tried to make a yoghurt cake today but failed to bake it for long enough and it also sank in the middle, he says it tastes OK but could be better, and to think that I gave him my yoghurt to use.

Evening, it's been dry but cold here today. Not as cold as you have Duncan but cold enough. I hope the fireworks have stopped and you got out for your walk. Shame about your dad's cake but maybe the next one will be better. I hope he gets on this vaccine trial, the results are very good for them at the moment.
I agree with your DH sister in LA about not going out on Thanksgiving leanfun, neither would I in times like these, and with the news that the US has just passed a quarter of a million deaths due to the virus I wouldn't want to go out anywhere.Well done on getting your meat order at the old prices.
I seem to have been running and getting nowhere fast today, lol. DH had a DR'S appointment this morning, then I dropped him off at work. By taking him to work it saves him leaving early as he has a 20-minute walk then a 30 min bus ride. It takes me15-20 mins to drive him. Then picked him up when he finished and took his GF to work she finishes at 10.15 so will pick her up then. My IG win arrived today, that was quick. So will have to go to Morrisons soon and see what they have to spend the voucher on.
I am just catching up with comps now.
Hope you have had a good day
    Stay safe.
