Sorry to hear your dad isn’t well Duncan. I agree with Leanfun the weather changes can have a lot to do with how you’re feeling. I’m more happier in summer! Great freebie with the cupboards
Leanfun it’s been pretty windy here too so the dog is refusing to go out any sign of windCoffee is always the answer (and chocolate
)
I got a little win today so the back to comping is starting to pay off! I won a choc advent calendar from tombolaManaged to finally get my flu jab today after having to cancel twice. There’s still lots of fireworks going off around here, mostly late at night too, very annoying.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!1 -
Morning a dull one here. Well done on the advent calendar win Wingo. Let’s hope that you have more wins.Duncan if Dad is not up for going shopping ever I suggest he finds out if Iceland deliver in your area. Yesterday I was able to put in an order and it’s going to be delivered today. They sell a lot of fresh food and last time we had a great loaf of wholemeal bread.Take care all.3

Morning, hope your dad is feeling better Duncan. Well done on getting the cupboards.I agree with the others the weather and dark morning and evenings don't help our moods.
Well done on the win wingo. Glad to hear you got your flu jab, I think all surgeries are running late with them this year as DS's GF keeps ringing our surgery about getting hers and they say not yet.
I went to Iceland yesterday leanfun and got a few bits.It was busy so didn't hang around. I am going to Lidls later to get some bread and other items. We like their tiger malted loaf but it's don't last long in this house, lol.
Hope you all have a good day

Hey all, I wasnt sure if this was worthy of it's own thread so thought I would just post in here...but if anyone needs to switch their energy bill soon, a switching site called energy helpline is running a comp to get your energy bill paid for the year if you switch with them between today and cyber monday (30th Nov). Thought it's quite good if you need to switch anyway! Worth a go!

Good Morning from a wet Fife.
Not so much the weather or dark evenings that brings Dad down, it's people, he just doesn't like them, he knows that he has to interact with them sometimes but.......
Well done to Tigsteroonie on getting her blog highlighted on the BBC news website, has it really been over 11 years since last you & Dad met?
Nothing planned today, I want to go to the football at the plastic pitch but Dad would rather have a walk in the woods.
Take Care.1 -
Just wrote a post, copied it then lost it!!! Try again.
Duncan hope you went out for walk today, woods sounds good, even if you did get wet. People is an odd one. Everyone is different. When I worked I had to interact with too many people each week. So much so that I found it really difficult when I retired but you do adjust. Since March it’s just been husband and I plus the TV oh and DS for a week. DS does not interact with people either. Husband is not talkative and as you can guess I am. He can come to life when talking about football (that goes in one ear and out the other with me) but we jog along just fine. People can be upsetting but you should never let them in your head and stay there. It took me many years to be able to do this.
Just looked up National Day for today. I don’t believe it it’s Pickle Day,
Loosen up, Lighten up Day and World Diabetes Day!
https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/loosen-up-lighten-up-day/Duncan give Dad a big nussle (hug) from us.

Morning, I sometimes think I could live without people and just fill my home with animals. Hope the weather stays nice so you can get your walks, Duncan
I would be the same ref football leanfun. Luckily my DS never liked it so I know nothing about it really. I use to know a lot growing up as my 2 brothers were football mad but not now.
It's was raining all night but has eased up now, and it looks like the sun is trying to come out. I am dropping DS's GF off at work soon and then picking up a few things.
Have a good day

Hi all,
Hope you are all well. We are fine.
Been dreadful wet weather here and set to continue.
Saw my little grandson today which was lovely. 5 weeks since we last saw him and he is really coming on. We are all hoping to get together at Xmas but everything is so worrying.
DS3 was all set to start work (second time) and his area put in Tier 3 so restaurant has closed again.

Good Morning All
Dry today (for a change) but windy, we are going to the shop today to get the things that Dad forgot to get yesterday when he took the car rather than me.
I gave Dad a nuzzle like you suggested but I made sure that I had licked my bum first so that it had plenty of flavour
Strange thing happened with Dad's satelite tracker watch yesterday, he switched it on as normal at the start of our walk but when he went to switch it off at the end of the walk he saw that we had done 78 miles in 18 minutes, now I know that I walk fast but.... he checked the map after downloading it and found that we had travelled at high speed to Montrose but not come back again, a first for me. The next walk tracked OK, strange.
Have Fun3
