Morning,   It’s lovely sunshine here this morning but a bit chilly.  Was colder last night.
Duncan great you and your Dad saw a deer on your walk this morning.  They are so graceful.
We have mega overslept today.  We took DS back yesterday.  He had really wanted to go on Friday but we waited for the rain to ease off.  It turned out to be a very warm and sunny day yesterday.
Sheils hope your trip goes as you want it to even if it is shorter.  Well done to your DD.  The job she does is very hard. My Mum trained for that in a different era.  The times we are going through is having a great toll on people in so many different ways.
Wingo thinking of you as school starts back.  Really hoping you might be still off work but expect you are back.
Firefly thinking of you and your DH.
    Take care everyone.

Morning suns out here but Brrrrr it's cold out. I should have been at work today but after 3 shifts my back is playing up so I took a sickie so I could give the back a rest. I have only had 2 days off sick  in over 3 years so it's not something i do all the time. The residents were tested on Friday and 2 came back positive so they have locked down that side. I haven't worked that side for months so feel safe. The staff are being tested again yesterday and today as they have to have weekly tests now.I will be doing another test at the end of the week as DS' GF is away till the weekend. She is having a week away with her friend they had to cancel the one in june, like many people had to.DS will find out tonight if his new job is locking down tomorrow they did last time so probably will this time. The cinema has sent letters out telling all staff they have shut for a month now as other than school holidays they were only opening the weekends.
Hope you all have a good day
    Stay safe

Evening.  Indie so pleased you looked after your back today.   Sorry to hear it’s been playing up so much hope the rest has helped.   It’s hard that two residents have tested positive when I’m sure everyone has been very careful.,   The odd think with Covid is that you can have it with no symptoms.   Pleased to hear you have not been working in that area.    Hope your DS’ GF  has a good break.  Indie it’s such a shame about your DS’s jobs.   It’s sole destroying when it’s one step forward and then it’s back to square one.  All we can all do is try to keep as safe as possible to stay well.
It was very sunny here today but quite chilly.  Forecast is for a few warmer days to come.
Hope everyone has a good evening.

    Hi all,
Been having a nice time and the weather has been so good. We had 2 nights at Wooler in Northumberland and moved to Coldingham in the Scottish Borders today. Cost us an extra £30 but felt we deserved it! Saw the news from our area and yet another care home has got an out break of Covid. Scotland has done badly with care home deaths.
Must be worrying for you indie. It is a shame about your DS but I assume he is getting furlough.
My DS hasnt managed to start work yet as our first minister keeps threatening another lockdown too and restaurants have to close at 8pm in Scotland Tier 2.
Hope everyone manages to cope in the English lockdown. I am really scared of another one as it really terrifies me being ruled so much by politicians especially our ones.

    Good Morning All
So glad that Dad does not have to work any more, it must be really tough in all sectors at the moment. I do hope that all workers get through this period and are able to pick up the pieces at the other end.

We have been enjoying the dry weather and getting around as best we can with the ground still sodden, shopping trip this morning for apples and anything else that may have a reduced sticker on it.
    Take Care.

Morning, DS shop is staying open so he has gone to work today. It's W.H Smiths but because some have post offices in they count it as essential. I am glad it's staying open as their main shoppers are elderly so it means they can get out and talk to someone in a day. My back is not too bad today, hopefully, i will be able to work tomorrow. They did try and get me to work today but I just said no. I wasn't down to work so am not letting anyone down
Glad to hear you had a good few days away sheils. I hope your DS can find work soon, it's very disheartening when they keep shutting restaurants down and cutting the hours. They never know where they are.
Hope your dad gets his apples Duncan, and it stays dry for your walks. We have the sun out here again, but it was frosty this morning. I am off to pick up all our meds later and expecting a call from the nurse practitioner for a review of my meds.
    Have a good day
    Stay safe

  • Hi All
I am very new to this site, I enter comps as and when I have the time but never ever win.  I don't think I am that lucky.  So I am running a competition for the community for Christmas and some of the prizes i will put together will be christmas hampers and goody bags.  I can't afford to fund all the prizes but wondered if there was any site i could go to (perhaps someone can offer a small freebie so that i can include this in my hamper)  Can anyone help,  I would be grateful if you could give me some advice

    Thanks

Good Morning Saturday from a misty Fife

After 3 evenings of fireworks in a row, I am hoping that they have all run out of them.
Nothing planned for today, the football park is still like a wet sponge so Dad refuses to take me there. I am sure that he will take me somewhere though :)

I see the government has finally taken Dad's advice and started testing everyone, every day, it's about time, that is the only way that they will keep on top of who has the virus and who doesn't.

    Take Care.

Morning very sunny here now.    It’s been unusually quiet here this week re fireworks so far only a few on the 5th.  They usually go on for days.  Hope the mist clears and you get some decent walks in Duncan best leave the football park until it’s dried out a bit more.
I did go out yesterday and while a few of our small shops are closed there were a lot of people out. Not like the first lockdown.  It’s going to be a long month.
    Take care everyone.
