Hello from a wet Fife :)
    Fingers crossed for Charlie today.
Ridiculous amount of time to wait for test results especially for care homes and their staff.
Dad is of the opinion that there should be 100% regular testing for the whole country so that they can better control the spread of the virus.
Anyway and more important, we got wet on the first walk but i got to chase lots of rabbits :)
Looks like we are still going to the shop at 10am so it will be full waterproofs for Dad but no sun cream, I will be naked as usual, at least where he ties me up outside the shop in under cover.
    Take Care

    Hi everyone ,
Been a dreadful day here. Did manage a small walk.
Heading to Newcastle area tomorrow for 2 nights. - got a bargain at a Holiday Inn and the weather looks a lot better over there than here. It will make up for the Yorkshire break I had to cancel.
Have to really think where we should go now. Going to call in at Beamish open  air museum tomorrow as we have annual tickets and managed to book a slot that must have been cancelled.

DH always freezes his crumpets FF. I don’t like them so he can just defrost them when he wants.

Leanfun, Sylvia is fine but obviously upset by the new lockdown as she can’t meet with all her family at home now, not even in the garden.

Indie you must be keeping fit with all that walking. The tests must be such a pain but hopefully save lives although I have heard they aren’t terribly accurate.

Sounds  like you got lots of exercise yesterday Duncan. Hope you managed to get out ok today!

Hi all.  It’s been a cooler day here today. So have been sorting out some things for the rubbish on Thursday.  We did eat out in the garden and the little robin came even nearer..  FireFly  smiled at the
Starlings in your garden.   We used to have a lot in our area years ago and can remember the noise they made.
Hope you have a good trip to Newcastle Sheils.   I’ve never been there near by but never made it there.  DH used to go there for football and a couple of years ago DD1 had holiday there with GS there and they enjoyrd it.  Pleased to hear Sylvia is well.  Fresh lockdowns are difficult.  With DH’s age and health we have only seen DD1 and GS a few times.  It’s been a very strange time all around.  I fully agree with others who have said there should be more testing.  The main trouble is that not all tests are accurate.

indie hope all went well with Charlie and you can have a rest the next few days.  I’m pleased they are organising testing for you.

Duncan chasing rabbits is good.  Where our DS is staying there are lots of wild rabbits.  You would love chasing them and it would be a good job too.

    Take care all.

Morning, what a day I had yesterday.I was glad to get into bed at midnight. Doing home tests was stressful and funny at the same time. Then I tried to get into my work portal to do some courses that need doing and it told me I wasn't registered. We went to the chemist to get our meds and just, as we got to the door after queuing for 20 mins, was told the pharmacist had gone on lunch for 60 mins so couldn't get meds. Charlie's vet visit was ok but his back foot hasn't healed properly so he has to keep the cone on for another week. Then DS's GF phoned from kickboxing she had hurt her knee so an ambulance was called. The ambulance had then got diverted to a heart attack but the hospital would call back in 15-20 mins with a time slot (as they lock the door after 8pm) After waiting an hour we rung 111 they called back and told us to go to hospital they are expecting us. We got the GF into a wheelchair she was wheeled in to come out 15 mins later after being told because of covid she would have to go to minor injuries dept, which were closed till this morning so we are off to there soon.
Today is going to be a good day,lol

Ho Indie do hope you have a good day today.   You had said yesterday was going to be a busy day but that was stressful.   Do hope your DS’s GF is seen quickly and has not done too much damage.  I found ice really helped when I hurt my knee years ago. Or a should say a packet of frozen peas.   Sorry to hear Charlie’s foot has not healed completely. He’s not going to be happy with the collar and it’s going to be a hot weekend. Do hope you are seen soon and home for a rest.

Very sunny here already.  Job today is filling garden bin ready for tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good day.  Take care.

What a day indie and here was Dad complaining about the rain we had all day and that his favourite waterproofs were no longer 'all day' waterproof.
Missed the brown bin collection this morning, they came while we were on the first walk then I kept hearing the lorry all the time we were out the third walk so we got round in double quick time but I never found it.
Waiting in again for another Freegler that said they would be here before noon, they are cutting it a bit close.
    Take Care.

Thanks, I hope today is better. We have just been and brought her back from the hospital. She has torn her ligament and sac in her knee. They haven't x-rayed it but said rest it for 3 days and if still in pain after 10 days to go back and they would x-ray it. They have givern her crutches and pain killers. So hopefully they will work.

we had rain here as well from about 3pm to 7pm.
The freegler did turn up but it took them longer to drive here from their house that we would have taken walking  still that's another item that Dad does not have to worry about what to do with :)

Morning.  Indie that sure was some injury your DS’s GF had. It’s going to be very painful and take a while to get better.  Hope the painkillers work.  You have had a hectic week.
Very hot here last night and going to be hot here especially tomorrow.
Duncan hope it’s stopped raining your way for your morning walk.  Great the freegler  turned up for the freebie.  Love the word freegler. iPad changes it to free glee!
We did manage a walk around the block in the evening yesterday.
Have a good day all.  Take care.

Morning, it's raining here but not heavy at the moment and like you ff it saves me watering the plants this morning.Glad to hear the freegler turned up Duncan, hope it stops raining for your walks today.
It was a warm night here as well leanfun, but I have the bedroom window on half lock and it keeps it cool enough to sleep.Good to hear you got your walk in last night. DS's GF is doing ok on her meds and going up and down stairs on her bum, lol. She is also getting used to the crutches. Her manager wants her in Saturday morning so she will try and get a note from Dr. She had her COVID results back last night, negative but my DS and I haven't heard yet. Typical, she was the last one to have it done and first to get it back. I am having a day in today doing my courses as the  IT people at work got me back in the portal
    Have a good day
    Stay safe..
