Lovely morning here again after some heavy rain overnight.
Nothing special lined up today, just plenty of walks.
Have a good one3 -
Morning cooler here this morning but very warm overnight.Sheils please remember us to Sylvia hope she and her husband are well. It’s very difficult for people re the virus and the conditions. We have friends in Greater Manchester, who were in a little bubble with their only child and two grandchildren. Both families’ holidays abroad were cancelled too. Then they booked a cottage in the North East and that has been cancelled too.DD2 was quite ill early March with virus symptoms and was randomly selected for an antibody test. She said yesterday that it came up negative. Our friend’s daughter who was much worse with chest symptoms also came up negative on a test for immunity. Either the tests are not effective or immunity does not last very long. Still so much to learn about this virus.Indie hope you have a good rest today after working in the heat.Duncan enjoy your walk’s.
Firefly hold off on the jam making until it’s cooler.
Yesterday our DD1 came With GS and had lunch with us in the garden. We have two garden tables so we’re well spaced out. It was sunny but not as hot as Friday and we had some shade. She’s on FaceTime or the phone everyday but they have only been here in garden a couple of times. They were chatting with DH about football.Just remembered I won a set of sauces on Instagram on Friday.Have a good day all and stay safe.2 -
Morning, well done on the sauces win leanfun. Nice little win that i am sure will come in useful. Good to hear your DD1 and GS came for lunch and the weather was good.
Sorry to hear your holiday was canceled sheils, some people are the same at work they keep trying to book time away then can't go. One young girl has had to cancel her wedding as family was coming from Yorkshire for it now can't come. It was her dad and best man and she doesn't want it to go ahead without her dad. Due to other circumstances, she has already canceled it twice before.
Work has been ok, but busy so i am relaxing today as back again tomorrow. Then i am off till the weekend. Charlie is getting on ok and have to take him back Tuesday for checkup so hopefully, he can have the cone off soon.Hope you all have a good day
Stay safe.2 -
Well done on the win leanfun and keep on trucking Charlie
A surprise walk down to Aldi this morning, nothing for me this time but fruit and eggs for Dad, it is an easy 3 mile round trip, I just need to persuade Dad to come home by the scenic route to get the extra miles in but when he has extra to carry home he just wants to come direct, I will need to try on the way down there instead.
Take Care1 -
Just to let you know firefly, if you have frozen fruit to make jam later it does throw out the timings and mixture when you defrost it to make the jam.
Very quiet evening here, Dad is listening to the Space X Dragon coming back to splash down in about 20 minutes.

Oh what a beautiful morning, cool and sunny at the same time
lazy day ahead, nothing planned so I will have to drag Dad out as much as I can.
Have fun.0 -
Hope you had fun Duncan drawing Dad out. It is cooler and sunny here but still over 20 degrees. We have been out again to the big Coop we found. We were running out of bread. There weren’t many people there and DH stayed in car. We must go out for a walk soon.
Take care all3 -
I managed to drag Dad for 11.97 miles today and we never really went anywhere we just did it a lot of times
Shop tomorrow for bread and fruit but rain is forecast so it might just be straight down and back, we'll see.
We were let down by a freegler this weekend, no answer to any of the emails sent, thankfully there was another applicant and he is coming to collect next Saturday, we have met him before so that's good.
Almost bed time.2 -
hiya all been a lovely day here too
i decided to swap the tinned foods cupboards round this morning but wish i'd never started it lol,
ended up cleaning them all out again & moving everything around then ended up with them all back in the same placegood you got out to the coop leanfun & hope you got a walk afterwards, i always pop a loaf of bread in the freezer when delivered so hopefully never run out, i found out last week from reading somewhere we can also freeze crumpets so when the delivery comes tomorrow i've ordered i'm going to start freezing them as well so can have one when i fancytodays walk/s sounds brilliant duncan & well done managing to drag dad along:
it sounds good not planning anywhere to go & just enjoying being out so hope the rain stays off tomorrow
so's you can both have a good days walk again, shame the freegler let you down but good you've another one you know you can trust coming, nearly bed time here too just got to catch up on boards as not been on since this morning, take care all.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.1 -
Morning, sounds like you have got some good walks in over the last couple of days Duncan. I feel like I walked miles yesterday as we are in lockdown we can't use the lifts so had to walk downstairs when I had my breaks and I was working on the top floor so up and down the stairs, one way to keep fit but the ole legs don't like it, lol.
We are doing a home COVID test today, homes now want Agency to show test results as they do them every 3 weeks so that looks like I will be doing that as well. I asked for 3 this time as 3 adults here but will just do myself next time.Should get the results in 2 days but some people in the home are still waiting for results from last Tues/Weds. Also got to take Charlie back to vets for his check-up later so busy day for me
Hope you all have a good day
Stay safe.2
