Very quiet day here. We didn’t make it out even though it didn’t rain in the end. Looked as though it was going to all day. Great you were out for a long run Duncan. Well done to your Dad walking so far and delivering the chair. I think I’m done with lockdown but the virus is still lurking. On FaceTime with DD1 today I said great you didn’t go for a Spanish holiday when she was looking. She’s going to the South coast later in August. We did have a nice dinner this evening.Firefly great you were able to sort some Rosemary out for drying today.I’ve been going through some of my photos today. I found this one. It’s a picture on a door in a small town on Madeira. They don’t have a lot but are very creative. Take care all.2

I don't know if my barking would be much good against your new visitor ff, Heidi next door just ignores me when she is stalking the birds, what I have to do is alert Dad so that he can skoosh her with the hose if she climbs the tree.
It is raining quite heavy here today so no danger of any cats in the garden, we will be walking as normal though, no amount of rain can stop that.
Watch out for the jam makers bug firefly, once you catch it, it is with you for life, Dad has been at it for over 25 years and his mum was still making jam and baking cakes into her 70s and suffering from bone cancer.
Have a safe day.1 -
Happy 78th birthday to Bobby Gentry
Not my favourite version of this song but she made it her own forever.

Evening, that's a haunting song and one i think once you have heard it, you never forget it. Thanks for posting the link.
It's been a wet and very windy day here, Charlie has been in and out as quick as he can, lol.
I hope the jet black cat gets bored and leaves the birds alone in your garden ff.
Love the picture on the door leanfun, so very true.
Hope you have all had a good day.
Stay safe.2 -
Hi everyone,
Just been catching up on you all. Glad you all seem fine.
DH and I travelled to Lancaster today where we are having a couple of nights. Was bucketing down the whole journey but stopped when we arrived at Morecambe which was great! We had a nice walk along the promenade and fish and chips in Wetherspoons. Finding going away really strange now with rules being interpreted differently everywhere.
Can’t believe David Essex is 73, still think of him the way he was when I was a teenager!

Morning. Cooler here this morning.Hope you enjoy Lancaster Sheils. Agree with you about David Essex.Yesterday I saw I’ve won football merchandise for DH on Twitter we think it’s either a football or shirt. You had to nominate someone. Well he is on Twitter but doesn’t use it and he could not Direct message them back. Also he didn’t get the notification. We did check these were switched on. He’s tweeted them back. So we will see I what happens.
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care.2 -
Hello from Sunny Fife. What a change from yesterday
Well done on the win leanfun and good on you for getting away shiels.
Quiet day for us today, Dad is expecting an ear bashing from the nurse sometime before 10am about his blood test results then we will be out somewhere for our 10 o'clock walk.
Have a good day.3 -
Glad to hear the rain stopped on your arrival Sheils, I still visualise David Essex as he was in the '70s,lol.
Well done on the win leanfun, it's cooler here today but dry so that's a bonus. I am just doing some washing so hope it stays dry all day.
Hope the ear bashing is not too bad for your dad Duncan, Have a good walk later.
I am off to have my hair cut this afternoon, have a good day everyone
Stay safe3 -
Looks like Dad will be changing medication again, the ear bashing was not too bad, he was able to shift some of the blame onto the Covid lockdown but he still had to admit to not losing enough weight and still eating too many carbs so they are the changes that he needs to do, just wish there was someone here that could make sure that he sticks to it.
I will do my part and take him plenty of walks3 -
Bright and breezy start this morning, 2 walks already
We may be going to the shop for more fruit this morning, decision will be made closer to 10am, otherwise it will be a day of waiting to bark at the bin lorry for me and trying not to eat for Dad.
Have fun2
