For all the teenage girls out there, David Essex is 73 today

This was what Dad was up against when he was chasing the girls back then.

    Good Morning Friday
Dry start today ahead of the storm we are due to get tomorrow, forecast say lightning so I may have to go into hiding for a while.
Dad is going to the shops without me today, he needs to go into the centre and is not happy leaving me tied up outside there, he better bring something nice for me or there will be trouble.
I hope the jam turned out OK firefly
    Take care all.

Morning.  Much cooler here today and blue sky has gone looks like rain.
Duncan hope your Dad has a good trip to the shopping centre and he brings you a great treat back.

Indie hope work is ok today.  How did Charlie’s visit to vets go?  Let’s hope they can resolve the problem.
FireFly we all want to know how the jam turned out.
    Take care everyone.

So glad your jam was OK firefly, it is always a worry when a recipe is passed on.
Dad got me some chew bones this morning they are like jumbones but half the size but then he spoiled it all by giving me a soapy shower.

Morning, charlie didn't have the op as an emergency came in so they checked him all over, gave me some anti-biotics and he is booked in for next Thursday. They think he has a grass seed in the lump that keeps coming up so we shall see after the op. I couldn't go in with him but could see him through the window outside being examined. They hope to let the 2 legged friends in soon, it says on the website. I was at work yesterday and we are in lockdown as a resident has tested positive she has no signs at all. All the staff and other residents are negative so they think it's a bad test as she hasn't been in contact with family for 3 weeks. They are testing again next week. The staff is tested every 2 weeks and residents every 28 days. So it's strange she is the only one positive.
I have read back and saw you in your cone of shame Duncan, what do you think of wearing them. I am pleased your dad brought you a treat back from town but just be thankful your not human when you have a bath as most humans have a bath or shower every day, some have 2 showers a day.
Glad to hear your Jam turned out ok ff, the old recipes are the best sometimes.
leanfun hope DH glasses are ok, and he can read ect now he has them back.
It's been raining since the early hours here and have been told we are in for it all weekend so I will be pottering around inside.
Hope you all have a good weekend
    Stay safe.

Hi All from a very wet Fife
No thunder as yet but the rain has been quite heavy at times, we managed to stay dry on the first walk and the second one has been cancelled so I am just waiting to see what happens at 10am.
I hate the cone on my head, I keep bumping into things with it and worst of all, I can't get up to my favourite spot at the window, Dad does take it off when we are out walking so I don't have to worry about any of my girls seeing me wearing it.
My first ever soapy shower, not bad for 4 years, I hope it helps ease the itch that I have round my neck.
Fifefly if your sis can use the recipe then that's OK with Dad, the other option is ground ginger instead of crystalised, she might also want to try some of Dad's own experiments mixing plain rhubarb jam with pineapple or blackcurrant.

Have fun in all you do :)

Morning fine here.  Sorry to hear the rain is so bad your way Duncan hope it clears soon and you can go out again.  The cones sound very irritating.   We are having to get used to wearing masks.  In the week when I went shopping I had a problem. As I came out of Boots I thought I had lost my reading glasses. Searched my bag no glasses. So I went back up the escalator to find the kind assistant who had served me.  Very fortunately not many people about.  When I said I couldn’t find my glasses.  She kept a very straight face and pointed at me.  My glasses had slipped down on to my mask!    Well!   She was kind enough to say that’s why she had a visor on and didn’t wear a mask as she wears glasses.

Indie pleased the vets think they can solve the problem for Charlie.  Sorry to hear you have to wait and go back again.  Had to smile that two legged friends would be let in soon.

Great the jam turned out well FireFly.  Jam is something I’ve never tried to make.  If we eat out in the garden in the evening the flies come out for sure.

I’ve  just discovered I’ve won a sudoku book on twitter.   DH will be so pleased when it comes he loves the killer puzzles.  He doesn’t need glasses for reading so has been doing them.   Today we might drive to one of our local parks, which are both at the top of hills but we will have to see if it rains.   It will be good to see lots of greenery rather than the odd tree and houses around here.
    Have a good weekend all.

    Hiya
We had a couple of light showers early and again just after lunch but not enough for Dad to even put a jacket on and it turned out to be a lovely evening.
Dad walked just under 10 miles today, I probably did double that :)
That was all we did really although Dad did deliver a swivel chair to someone from Freegle, they wanted it but do not drive.
    Take care
