    Hi everyone,
Been cold in SW Scotland and a bit drizzly so not impressed. Knew it would happen when the 5 miles was relaxed!
Congrats on your 47th leanfun. Thats a long time! Most of our neighbours seem to have been married for about 50 years, some must have been married pretty young.
DD coming to visit today as she has a hair dresser appointment at 4pm. First day open here. Glad I have one tomorrow.
Hope everyone is enjoying their day x

Happy Anniversary leanfun, your cakes and wine sound yummy. I have won £1 on the bird so far this time so happy with that.I probably won't win again this time now.
I heard on the news your 5 miles was now over with sheils, lets hope the weather cheers up soon for you.
It's dull but muggy here today, looks like rain is on the way again.
Hope you all have a good afternoon

    Happy Thursday everyone :)

Dad got his berries picked yesterday afternoon from all but one bush, they are not quite ripe yet.
Nothing happening round here today so that should mean plenty of walks and it looks like being dry and sunny so always a bonus.

    Have a great day.

Thanks everyone re anniversary.  Sheils great the five miles restriction is finished.  Lovely for you to see your DD and get your hair cut.    Indie yesterday I too won  £1 on the hummingbird.  It’s been so muggy here the last few days and like that again today.
Duncan’s Dad berries sound great you will be busy cooking now.  Enjoy the sunshine your way.
DH is having car serviced today.  They are coming to collect it for him.   He’s found a really old pair of glasses but normally comes back on the bus from dropping car off.  We will have to organise optician and hair appointments for us both.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning everyone, another dull and muggy day here. Glad to hear your dad got most of the berries picked yesterday Duncan. Enjoy your walks today.
Good luck with the service leanfun. Well done on winning £1 on the bird, let's hope we have another win on it. I won a case of popped lotus seeds on a mag daily today, DS is pleased as he loves them, lol.
I am hoping the weather gets better later as need to do some washing, the basket is filling up fast.
    Have a good day

Well done on the £1 wins leanfun and indie. I won 10p!
Forgot to say indie, seemingly Cummings has done a lot for the tourist industry in Barnard Castle! Take it most people had never heard of it before. We had as we often stop there when heading over to the NE of England. It is a nice little town with an imposing castle and river walks.

Great you were having nice weather for your walks today Duncan. The sun came out here in the afternoon too but tomorrow looks like it will be raining all day.

Got my hair cut now which is great. Glad I just  had a cut though as having a mask on for highlights etc would be too long for me.
Really don't like having one on for any length of time.
We have been without a light in the kitchen for most of lockdown as the shop we usually buy our strip light from has been shut and we weren't sure what to buy elsewhere. Anyway it opened today so now we have light!
Looking forward to a couple of nights away next week at Ashington Premier Inn which isn't too far from Whitley Bay which we love. Have booked a couple of English Heritage places to visit too. It is annoying to have to book everything in advance but trying to enoy what there is open at the moment and try and feel like things are more normal.

    Morning All :)
Dull start to the day but hoping for better by lunchtime.
Not much doing here but glad to hear that others are getting back to some kind of normal, our lives did not change much during lockdown so it was easy just to carry on as if it wasn't even happening.
Lots of colour in the garden just now with the lilac lavatera and the blue & red hydrangea flowering alongside the South African tall white daisy, it just needs the yellow day lilly to start flowering and it will really be summer :)
    Have a good day.

Morning all.  Sunny here today.  We were awake a lot in the night as it was too hot.  It was 22 degrees when we eventually woke up.  DH had car serviced ok but when they phoned they tried to charge him over £400 then over £90 then £19.  He has a contract with the dealers and somehow it was all muddled.  He had expected to pay over £80 for MOT, collecting car and deep cleaning it.  That was what they said in email.  Last year he didn’t pay MOT.  The whole thing involved them phoning him back several times.   Then I suddenly heard DH say I have my card here he was very happy to pay the £19.  I told him it’s good he’s with it.  Mind you he overdid it sweeping garage out and moving things in garage while it was empty.

Duncan’s Dad in our jungle of a garden we have an hydrangea. It’s deep pink and blue now.  Used to be all pink I’m sure.  On our walks around the roads we have noticed quite a few red hydrangeas.
Your garden sounds lovely.   One a positive note our garden refuse bin arrived yesterday so I will be able to clear some of the sacks.  The council had too many orders for them so the long wait.  Out tip is an hours drive away.  DH used to go to neighbouring council’s tip with DD’s ticket but they have been closed and he would not have been able to go anyway.

Sheils great you are able to go out more. I’m so looking forward to even go to our local parks. Hope you enjoy your trip next week.  We should have been on holiday next week but that was all cancelled.  BA were very good with refund no problems there.

The one good thing about this lock down it has been in the spring and summer and we have had a lot of good weather.  We had our dinner out in the garden last night and sat out there until nine.  Lockdown when it’s dark early must be dreadful.

Ho yesterday I won 20p on the hummingbird.  Hope everyone has a good weekend.
    Take care.

PS Indie well done on yoor mags win.  Great for your DS.

Afternoon everyone, it's another hot day here. Too hot to go outside at the moment.Glad to hear something good came of Cummings visit sheils. I am like your DH and have to wait till next week for my hair appointment, but it will soon come round.
Your garden sounds very colourful Duncan, hope you got some long walks in today.
I am the same as you leanfun regarding sleeping and too hot, I was up 3 times last night as couldn't settle it was so warm and had a fan on. Cheeky so and so's at the garage, trying it on. As you say it's a good job your DH is with it. Wonder how many times they have got away with doing that.Glad to hear your bin turned up, our tip is open but you have to go on certain days all depending what the letter is on your number plate. As you can imagine the queues are very long.Well done on the bird win, no more wins for me yet but only waiting on 1 thing to win a fiver.
Hope you all have a good afternoon

Evening, gosh it's been a hot day today. I'm wilting, lol. Even Charlie Boy is feeling it as he has been on and off his cool mat. Have you had any flying ants? I saw the swarm on the weather this morning but i haven't seen any yet.
I haven't done a lot just been pottering around inside, did water plants earlier and check them.
Hope you have all had a good day
