Dad has been wondering if he should enter any holiday comps, he would not know what to do if he won one, first and foremost there is me to consider, he can't just up and leave me. Second, these holiday comps are for families or at the very least 2 people and he has been going on holiday on his own for 40+ years simply because he has no-one to take with him and thirdly, did I mention that he can't leave me.
He does enter the comps that he wants to win the prize from, the only restriction being that he doesn't use tw/fb/gl and so on.
Good that you had a good getaway sheils.3 -
Hello Monday
Dull here this morning but we are on a promise of brighter weather later.
I was reading this morning that President Carter has been married to his wife Rosalynn for 74 years, well done to them 👏
Nothing planned again today, best that way then we can just toddle off any time we like.
Take Care2 -
Morning, glad you enjoyed your break sheils, and you didn't bump into Cummings, lol. I know what you mean about bushy hair as mine is like that.
Duncan there are a few holiday comps your dad could enter that say take your dog with you. They do appear now and again, just something to think about.
It's a sunny and warm day here, have no plans as yet.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning sunny here today. Firefly great you sat out in the garden in the evening and watch the birds. We had a robin watching us have lunch out yesterday. We went out for a walk yesterday evening which meant going to a main round we were going to turn right then go back up next road but the police had road partially blocked due to an accident. Don’t think anyone was hurt. So we went the other way instead. Once home it was still warm enough to sit outside for dinner.Sheils congratulations on your 25th Wedding anniversary. Great you made it away even to England. Great you have a hair appointment. Here weeks ago DH hacked at The back of his own hair it was so long. I then had a go at straightening the back. It didn’t look too bad. Don’t know when we will make it a hairdressers. Care homes have been a tragedy in England.Indie hope work was ok. Duncan hope you have enjoyed your morning walk
Take care everyone.2 -
Hiya All
Really bright here this morning already.
Strange day yesterday, Dad went dashing off to collect a sofa bed from another Freegler and after much grunting and swearing it is now installed in place of my bedI am not that keen on it as it is a lot softer than the old one so I slept on Dad's chair last night.
We are off to the shop this morning so a good walk will be had
Take Care2 -
Morning, it's been raining here but stopped now, don't know if we are in for any more today but the garden is not complaining about it. I hope you get use to your new bed Duncan. Us humans are the same when we get new beds/mattress it takes time to get use to them.Enjoy your walk to the shops.
I am off food shopping later, hope you all have a good day
Stay safe.2 -
Hello from a warm but drizzly Fife 👋
Dad is getting a visitor this morning so our walking routine will be a little out of whack but i will soon get him back on track with my inbuilt timer, I have a knack of knowing when we have been home exactly 1 hour and start bothering Dad to take me out again
The UV index is lower today so I could lose Dad to the garden for a while, he is still trying to get the last of the blackcurrants picked.
Have fun in what you do1 -
Morning. Sounds as though your Dad is very busy Duncan. Great you have inbuilt clock to know when times up and you are ready for a walk. I can’t take the smell of lavender at all but lavender is supposed to be so good for many things. It certainly attracts the bees.It was very cloudy here yesterday but we did eat our breakfast in the garden. Rest of the day seemed as though it was going to rain any minute. It was our wedding anniversary yesterday. We have been married for yonks. No going out for a meal but some nice food at home. We had some wonderful bought cheese cake. DH’s favourite and we have not had any for months. So it was a special day for us at home.Well it’s the humming bird again I’m not having much success so far.Take care everyone.2

Good food and good company are a great combination so why go out someplace and risk spoiling it.1 -
Thanks Duncan don’t know why I wrote that. It was 47! No specific gifts the food was it and the fact that we have made it so far. DH has survived three heart attacks. We ordered a special box of small cheese cakes and from another source a Portuguese wine that lived up to expectations. Agree with you about the company and the food. During this lockdown I have found an online meat supplier and a fishmonger, who normally supply top restaurants, they have brilliant prices and we have never eaten so well.1
