Well Dad took me back to watch the football and they were not there, it seems that not enough boys turned up
On the plus side it did mean a longer walk that was planned and he took me to chase rabbits instead2 -
That was a shame Duncan, maybe they will play next week as you say you had a longer walk so that was good
I went and booked a hairdresser appointment today but it won't be for another 3 weeks, knew it wouldn't be sooner, and am quite happy to wait. It's sunny here today and warm, so have all the doors and windows open, i have nothing else planned for the day so lazy day for me.
Hope you all have a good afternoon
Stay safe2 -
Afternoon. Duncan agree it’s a shame about the football still sounds fine your way. Indie it’s sunny here too some of the time but then the dark clouds come. We have not tried to get hair appointments yet. Great you have one set up even if it is a little wait. Enjoy your quiet day.FireFly I’m the same as you I never liked the crab sticks. Yesterday DH did eat some of the crab. I think he often says no thank you when he has never ever tried something. After weeks of doing nothing in the garden yesterday I started to cut back the forsythia. I’ve been out there again today and discovered some blackberries growing in between. Council had too many people order the garden refuse bins so ours still has not arrived. I think I would have more incentive if I could dispose of the stuff instead of the black sacks piling up.Sainsbury’s order no eggs again and this time no bread. We are on our last loaf from the freezer. Still we have done very well. DD1 might come tomorrow.Take care everyone.2

It has been one of those evenings where you wish that you could press a button and time would stop.
The sun still had some warmth in it without being burning, the light was just so perfect and all the colours jumped out at you, the wind was fresh enough to cool you if you needed it but not so cold that you needed an extra layer and the birds seemed to be in full song.
The only cloud around was all the noise from the various garden parties and stench from the BBQ's.
Waiter, bring me another tall cold drink please2 -
Duncan’s Dad your evening sounds idyllic. Did you take any photos?Have to say we are with you not keen on BBQ stench.1

Good Morning all
Sadly no photos from last evening, Dad seldom carries a camera with him and it was more of a feeling rather than a picture.
I never catch rabbits, I have this huge anchor at the other end of the lead that stops me chasing things properly
Dad has been cutting his own hair (what there is of it) for about 20 years, he just keeps going with the trimmer after he has done his beard using number 3 on the trimmer
Tall drinks are water, always water, it was beer for a long time, then cola, then pink lemonade but after the diabetes hammer hit home it has been water and the same for me only in a bowl please
We are shopping for fruit this morning and Bonio biscuits for me as well and dad will be out in the garden later to tidy up a bit, no real work needing done but he will go round and check things.
I hope you all have a good day1 -
The picture you described was lovely Duncan, good job you don't live next door to me as neighbors have a bbq then bonfire when the weather is nice and I think they must use paraffin or something like that to burn as the bonfire stinks, and I have to close windows. But the smell goes overnight thank goodness.
My DS's GF has trimmed my hair but I have thick hair so it needs thinning out and only go to hairdressers twice a year. She cuts my DS and her own hair as and when they need it.
I am going to do some tidying up inside than spend some time in the garden later
Have a good day

Hi all,
Glad everyone is doing ok.
We have been busy. Last Monday we went to Hadrian’s Wall and then on to a caravan in County Durham. It was our Silver wedding and really enjoyed getting away. The site even left us a bottle of wine. Back home now but planning other breaks.
Well done on the Amazon win indie. Such a worry with care homes. Scotland has done so badly with them. Hope all ok.
Have booked a haircut for 16th, hair is really bushy! They can’t open until 15th here. Have been trimming DHs but it desperately needs a good cut. His hairdresser isn’t sure when she will reopen though as been changing premises.
Will have a look at the holiday comps leanfun thanks. Not really been comping but feeling better after our break so will try and get started again.
Hope you had a good walk Duncan.
Nice to see you are back in the Inn FF.
