I thought it was water retention or cellulitis they said it is going to happen whilst her knee is on the mend, still didn't take an x-ray as they said it's a soft tissue injury but gave her a letter saying she had been back to the hospital and she should not return to work until the leg is better. My DS and I popped to Tesco as I wanted a few bits and he gave the letter to the duty manager. So let's see if her manager phones her up.

Pleased hospital seemed to think it is normal Indie.  The triage nurses are usually very experienced.  Great they gave her a letter. Don’t know what’s the matter with managers when you can see the person is really injured.   I did read they have put off cleaners and expecting floor workers to do the cleaning.   It’s really bad as they must have made loads of money this year.  Staff have also put themselves at risk to make sure people had supplies.
Hope she’s not in too much pain.

Hot,hot, hot here again today.  We didn’t move anywhere yesterday only to the garden late evening. Decided against car journey as there would be too many people out.  Might make it out today .
Have a good day every one.

    Hello :)

Busy morning here, Dad is taking advantage of the cooler weather to get a lot of things done.
The schools are preparing for the kids to go back on Wednesday so it will be safe for us to walk without getting interrupted by scooters and bikes every 2 minutes.
    Take Care

Morning, it is a bit cooler this morning but it was yesterday then warmed up as the day went on so expecting the same today.
Got to take Charlie back to the vets tonight so hoping we can take his cone off. The vets are next door to our local chippy so will pop in there and get something for tea before coming home.
Our kids go back next month Duncan, it will be interesting to see how many parents send their kids to school. Enjoy your walks today.

Good morning from a warm and wet Fife, too hot for waterproof and too wet to go without them, poor dad :(
Fingers crossed for Charlie, there always seems to be a take-away of some kind close to a vets, I am starting to think it is a conspiracy ;)
We are heading out to the shop soon so at least I know we will get that walk today, all the remaining walks will depend on the rain/thunderstorms.
    Have a good one

    Morning,
Lovely sunny start to day after thunderstorms through the night. Weather forecasts keep changing but hopefully going to stay nice until about 5pm. Going to go to Castle Douglas with a picnic and walk around the loch. It usually isn’t too busy and the caravan park next to it should be quieter now. Our schools go back tomorrow.
Don’t think most of the holidaymakers walk round the loch anyway. You would like it there Duncan.

Hope everyone else is keeping cool. It has mainly been in the low 20s here is fine for us especially as been walking and gardening.

Places are so bad with sickness leave nowadays indie.  People being put on warnings etc.
I hate wearing a mask to do my shopping, don’t think I could work in one.

Hole you have gleaming windows now FF and you get for your drive leanfun.

Did have some good news for a change yesterday, DS2 got engaged to his gf. Our gs is 10 months so about time! He had told us he was meaning to propose but think it would be a surprise to his gf.

Morning hot hot here still.  We made it out for a drive to a village in Kent yesterday afternoon.   The air con in the car was bliss.   There a car park outside of village which even on a Monday in school holidays would be full but hardly any cars there yesterday.  Fortunately we had drinks with us and ate our sandwich in car.   On the drive there through shady roads with trees across the temperature was 33 degrees.  As DH got out of car the heat him and he said it was too hot for a walk.  So we drove home but it was great to have been out further than our immediate surroundings.

We had a Sainsbury’s delivery yesterday evening and driver said his van has no air con and at one point had registered 45 degrees.   That’s crazy.

Great you are able to have lovely walks near you Sheils.  It’s amazing how holiday makers stay close together.

Duncan we have two grandchildren living with their mother west of Glasgow.  The boy starts secondary school tomorrow.  We have not spoken to them since mid June but hope to today.  They were with us last Christmas.   Miss them a lot.  Normally they would have come here for some of their holiday.

Firefly must have been much cooler your way.  Well done on cleaning windows.

indie hope Charlie is given the all clear.    We have a chippy near us but since we have had fresh fish deliveries we haven’t had any.   We had pan fried salmon and a few veg yesterday.  Unfortunately husband doesn’t eat salad but I do.

    Take care all.
