No rain here so far today.Duncan so true what you say. Last Sunday was my Mum’s birthday. She died when she was 52 nearly 50 years ago but still miss her.Sheils so sorry to hear the missing woman has not been found. It’s very distressing for the family and all who knew her. Sheils the ache in my arm is just beginning to go and it was really sore early on. I did the same as you had it in left arm and I sleep on the right. Felt sorry for Indie having it on the side she sleeps.
I came back on as I just read an article on Jay Rayner’s TW and thought of you Sheils. https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2021/mar/13/hidden-joys-uk-holiday-spots-seafood-in-yorkshire-and-scotlandYears ago DH and I did the long train journey from Glasgow to Mallaig well actually got out at Morar. The train stopped for lunch at Oban. So The picture here brought back happy memories. We flew up to Glasgow for a week at the end of May and had no plans of what we were going to do. After one day in Glasgow we decided to buy a train ticket and travel and as we had been to Morar before we knew there was a hotel there where we could stay. Might have told you about this before. It was something else going over Rannoch Moor. Train stopping in the middle of no where, no station and people getting off. Our Ticket allowed us to go on ferry to Isle of Skye. Then another train to Inverness. Then my memory has gone I don’t remember how we got home but wonderful trip.3 -
Happy Mothers Day.
It's sunny here today and not too cold. I have been out back and did some tidying up after the winds we have had. A few things were blown around but nothing broken All the spring bulbs are coming up and the apple and pear tree has new shoots appearing. I was up at silly o'clock this morning and a fox went past barking non-stop. I think he was looking for a mate, lol.
Hope you have a good day
Stay safe

Good Morning :0
Frosty here for the second day in a row but it looks like being a good day again once it warms up a bit.
We had a really good walk yesterday, it was so nice when we got to the coast to make our delivery that Dad took me along the Fife coastal path to the next village, West Wemyss, and from there we took Queen Mary's road back home, a 12.5 mile round trip lasting just over 4 hours.
I hope your jab went well yesterday ff, I did think of you as we came past the Covid testing station on the way home, we now have 3 of them in Glenrothes and mostly the staff stand around doing nothing all day at all 3 of them.
Dad was out looking at his new apple tree this morning after reading your post indie, but no new shoots showing yet, probably another 3 weeks before anything shows, there is new growth on other plants and bushes though, even the helibore has flowered to keep in line with the crocus and daffs so i will soon be losing Dad for hours at a time while he potters out there (I'm not allowed in his garden).

Morning,
Sun shining away so I already have the washing hung out. DD coming later, she has just finished night shift and having a short nap. So will have a late Mother’s Day celebration.
Never been to Morar leanfun, had to Google it. Spent 3 nights at Oban though where it didn’t stop raining for almost the entire time. That sounds like a good walk Duncan. Have been as far as Dysart but then a big blank until Anstruther and then St Andrews . Hoping to get up to Fife again in the near future especially as DS2 and family will be moving there in 11days.Indie, I have a friend in London who always tells me about the foxes visiting his garden. Always seems funny to me that foxes live in towns and cities. They just seem to live in the countryside here.
I have seldom seen one, maybe twice in fields.
Hope you are ok after the vaccine FF.
Have a nice day everyone

Sunny here today but cold still.Well done with the washing Sheils hope you have a nice afternoon with your DD. We often have foxes around. They often go on top of our garage. When GKs were younger we always had to be careful they didn’t come in the house as children and even adults have been hurt by them. Now we need to put a brick on the small waste food bin to stop them. DH forgot the other day and we had a trail of waste all down the garden.Duncan your walk sounds long but really interesting. Hope your Dad’s feet are ok today.
FireFly hope all went well yesterday.Take care.2 -
Good Morning
Glad you got through it ff, a day in bed actually sounds quite nice but without the shivers and nausea, also a good way to lose some weight
Sunny start here and even quite warm at 6 degrees, we had a little rain overnight and that freshened the garden up a bit so Dad might be out there again later.
We are off to collect a 999 piece jigsaw from a fellow freegler today, she did advertise it as having 1 piece missing and was getting no replies so Dad asked for it, he is very sneaky and uses his Mod powers to check details that other members can't see.

Morning dull here today.FireFly as Duncan’s Dad said pleased to hear you have come through. So pleased to hear you were able to stay in bed. Hope you have had something to eat. I remember the tiredness. Hope you feel better soon.Well remedy still has not arrived but I caught the postman yesterday afternoon when he delivered letters and he said there were no problems at our sorting office. DH ordered some light bulbs last week and a Royal Mail van delivered them yesterday morning.Take care.3

Morning
Glad your feeling better ff, It does affect people differently and once you have had something to eat the wobbly legs should go.
At least your dad knows the puzzle has a piece missing Duncan, and nothing wrong with your dad having a few perks for being a mod.
Well, you gave the company enough time and chances leanfun, time to take your custom elsewhere. I hope you can find another shop that stocks it.
I have done my washing and some gardening this morning, off to Tesco to pick up a few bits soon
Hope you all have a good afternoon

Good Afternoon
Jacket off, sun cream on, Dad is feeling the heat, we also saw a butterfly going past and have had a fly in the house, all signs of an early Spring here.
I am just waiting for the second visit by a bin lorry, the first one was before 7am and dad kept me inside as my barking would have been too much for the neighbours that early.

Afternoon.Sunny here now Duncan’s Dad might be warm for you but I feel a bit chilly. Great to have signs of spring.Even though I pruned our forsythia right back we still have quite a lot flowering in back garden. I always think here comes the spring when it starts to flower.
Yesterday I defrosted fridge part of fridge freezer and it seemed to take forever. I thought I’d never finish and be able to put it back on but in the end it was done.Things are looking up here. Yesterday I thought the same as you Indie before your post I started looking online to see if I could buy them remedy somewhere else but could not find the exact thing I wanted anywhere. Today after postman had just been and no delivery from that company I started to search again for an old little pot just to see what it said. In a tiny draw under some cards I found a tiny pot of remedy with some in it and expiry date is 2023. I’m sure I looked in that draw before. Strange thing is I must have bought these from Neil’s yard and they used to sell in another pot. This one has the name of the company I sent to. So another very senior moment but one very happy person here.
Take care.4
