Morning, thanks for the recipe, Duncan.I will give them a go when DS and his GF are at work or they will be gone before they get cold, lol
It's a cloudy start to the day here, and they have forecast rain later. My bird feeding station came yesterday so I am going to put that together and hopefully find the right place in the garden for it.
Hope you all have a good day

Good Morning
Not so cold today but there is rain in the air so I will need to shout for dad if it starts, he has got clothes hanging on the line.
The recipe for the biscuits calls for a pinch of salt but dad never uses it so just add it for your own taste you can also use all white or all brown sugar instead of the mix if you wish.
Indie, finding the right spot for the bird feeder can be a challenge, it's a mix of where the birds will use it and where you can get at it to fill the containers
Firefly, it's always cheering to see the new shoots coming through, same with buds on the trees and blossom on the bushes

It should be stressed that the oats mixture needs to be pressed into the baking tin so that when cut they will retain their shape

Good Morning from a wet Fife.
Dad has already said that we will not be going far or out for very long today so I will need to find something interesting for him to do indoors so that he does not sit and eat all day.
His tray of biscuits came out well yesterday and the crumbs were Mmmm...:)
Anyone near Guildford looking for an online volunteering role with Freegle?

Morning. Not raining here yet. Thanks for the recipe Duncan’s Dad your oat mixture looks great. I will have to have a go. Expect you will find something to do indoors today.
Indie great your bird feeder came. I’ve had an message to say I’ve won a science magazine for very young children. It was on Twitter.Firefly great you were able to do something out in the garden. We have started to clear up a bit but was disappointed it rained here yesterday so didn’t go out. It’s supposed to be good weather next week.

Good Morning
The frost has returned with a vengance but the sun is rising into a clear blue sky so should warm up quickly for the last morning before we are plunged back into darkness for a while (clocks change tonight)
Well done on the win leanfun.
Back to the shop today, Dad needs to spend £16 to get £2 off before the end of the month, but he only has £15 cash left and doesn't even need very much, shame the card never worked those times or else he would have made the target already, I told him just to buy extra treats for me, I could eat them quite easily on the way home so he would not even need to carry them all the way.

lol, good idea Duncan but I don't think your dad will go for it.
Well done on the win leanfun,I love winning books.
I haven't got the bird station up yet hoping to later today. It was raining Thursday then windy yesterday but seems settled today although it's cold out at the moment. They have said we have warmer weather on the way for a few days, I am looking forward to that.
Have a good weekend

Hi everyone just wanted to ask a question about the tv magazine competitions. When you fill out the details online it has a box called "area" but i leave it blank. I use an auto-fill on my password manager to fill in the details but it doesn't fill the area part with anything. Is it necessary to fill this in even if i've got my address/postcode filled in? I don't even know what they want me to enter...Here's a pic:2

I don't do many mag comps but I have never noticed that before compchomper, I will need to look out for it.
If it has been on the form and I have not noticed then the form has submitted OK without me putting anything in the box.2 -
Hi CompChomper when I read your post I couldn’t remember what I did about area. I’ve just entered a comp with this Address Area and realised like you I don’t fill it in. I think if comps really want all parts filled in they don’t let the entry go through and highlight the ones you have not completed. Good Luck.Afternoon all. I intended to go out in garden today as it was a sunny morning but it was very windy. In the end we have been for a short walk around the block. Yesterday I had a go at the first pastry I have made for years in my attempt at making mushroom quiches. Well pastry was good but a bit too thick. They did look like small quiches but seemed to take ages to make. Next time I’m sure will be easier and improved.
Duncan I smiled at your great idea for extras to spend enough money to be able to use the coupon. I don’t think Dad won’t fall for that one. Hope you have some good walks.Hope everyone has a good weekend.2
