Good Morning all and welcome to a blustery, drizzly Fife.
Dad's garden is sitting looking after itself just now, either he is not up to doing anything or the weather is against him, no point anyway because as soon as he turns over a bit of soil the (now 6) cats use it as a toilet.
Schools are off again here, just back for 2 weeks then off on holiday for 2 weeks, as if???????
Take care1 -
Morning. It’s lovely and sunny here this morning. Sorry to hear not good your way Duncan.Know how your Dad feels about being able to tackle the garden. It must be very frustrating for him. Where do the six cats come from? We have one that occasionally comes and have not seen a fox for ages. Our schools break up on Wednesday for Easter. I was thinking we aught to go somewhere these next few days before everywhere fills up with people on holiday.Take care.2

Afternoon. It’s been so sunny here today that we were able to sit out in our garden this afternoon and have a cup of coffee. I’ve just found a message to say I’ve won second prize in a twitter competition. A Freedom Chocolate hamper. We have not had any chocolate since Christmas and it’s a win.Take care all.2

Good Morning, sunny start here but still windypops.
The 6 cats come from neighbours, 2 next door, then 1 then 1 (new white one) and then the boyfriends of the dirty stop-out that lives next door, she has been neutered but still attracts the boys just by her behaviour. Dad has tried everything over the years but nothing seems to work, I told him that I could help but the one time he let me out to the garden I ran away for over an hour and he only caught me because I was in a stand-off with one of the cats, he no longer lets me out to the garden side of the house
Not sure what we will be doing today we are getting bombarded with noise as next door the other way have a new kitchen and bathroom fitted so we will probably just do a lot of walking.
Managed to get the £2 coupon so that will come off the next shop in Lidl. (so sad that this was the most exciting thing that happened for dad all month)

Morning, you were naughty running away Duncan, and lucky your dad caught you. I know what it feels like as years ago one of my dogs would get out and chase a local cat. It was always of a night when I had my PJ's on and there I would be chasing them up and down the road. I laugh about it now but it wasn't funny at the time. Enjoy your walks today.
Well done on the hamper win leanfun, what a great win just in time for Easter. I hope you manage to get out before the crowds arrive.
It's lovely when you can sit out in the garden and listen to all the birds chattering ff. roll-on summer.
Have a good day
Stay safe

Morning very sunny here again. Firefly vol-u-vents sound delicious. I’m going to have another go at the quiches after our next online delivery. We actually saw two sparrows while we were out in garden which is encouraging. As for years we only had magpies taking over the garden.Duncan the cats must be very frustrating for your dad. We used to have one or two come and that was bad enough. Can see why your Dad does not let you out in the side garden it must have been very stressful catching you. Indie’s description of catching her dog in her pj ‘s made me smile.Tell your Dad the only excitement we have had this month was from the online deliveries. DH often says on a Friday morning can’t see why you are so excited about a box of vegetables. The box is delivered overnight and left on doorstep. This COVID time has been something else for sure. At least Spring has arrived and lighter days. Duncan hope you can escape the noise from next door.

Morning, the suns out but it's a chilly start to April. I am going to Superdrug later as they are collecting empty pill packets for Marie Currie. We have been saving ours for a few months, and it's only the shops with a chemist in that accepts them so our nearest one is a few miles away but it's for a good cause. Other than that I have nothing else planned as DS and his GF are working today, so the day is mine. Good luck for April, lets hope we all have some good wins
Have a good day
Stay sate1 -
Morning. Indie I too recently saw that Superdrug were collecting the empty pill packets. Well done for collecting them. I forgot to tell DH. Yes, it’s April already so good luck all.
DD1 has been able to collect two packets of COVID tests as they are giving them out to families with school children. So will be able to do a test before she comes around. DH has had the letter from NHS to say that he does not need to sheild anymore. He phoned Drs about repeat proscription yesterday and asked about second vaccination. They said he would be called in the 12th week. It was 10 weeks yesterday he had the first. We are still going to be cautious. We did make it to the park yesterday for a bit of a walk in the afternoon and not many people there.
Firefly we saw a tiny Robin out in garden yesterday. Lots of bird song out there yesterday.
Duncan hope you have had some good walks and have been good for your Dad.
Take care.2 -
Thanks indie, Dad has been looking for a drop-off point for his blister packs for a while but never even thought about Superdrug, he gets through at least a dozen a week so he will now start saving them again to drop them into the shop in the town. He put his stash into the plastic/metal recycle bin when he could not find anyone to take them.
Good afternoon, sunny but a cold NE wind is taking the edge off it.
We have been all over the place today and still some walks to come. Dad has the dentist later so I will need to stay at home but I will get a walk before he goes and as soon as he gets back as well and he keeps on saying that it's a hard life.
Take care2 -
Good Morning
Hard frost here, down to -3 degrees at 6am but the sun machine has got going and we are now enjoying a lovely morning.
Dad's dentist appointment was a washout yesterday, he did nothing but look at the teeth but from what was said it is going to be a lot of work both to fix the broken filling that the appointment was originally set up to do and then to do all the repair work required resulting from the broken bridge and waiting times for appointments start at 2 months.
Busy in the garden already to get a root cutting for another Freegler, this time sending it by post  all parceled up and in the post box, I hope it survives the journey.
Take care2
