Morning, chilly start here but dry.  We had some sunshine yesterday, hopefully, the warmer weather will be here soon.
I did laugh at your dad running downstairs Duncan, glad it was just your barking and nothing else that brought him down. Hope he got his injection ok.
I took DS's GF to give blood yesterday, it wasn't where it usually is and was a few miles away but worth the drive.
Looks like we are getting new neighbors as they have put the house up for sale. They have only been there 2 summers so not long at all.
I have nothing planned for this weekend unless some work comes in.
    Have a good weekend

    Good Morning.

Another frosty start and after the snow of yesterday it feels like we are going backwards into Winter rather than forward into Spring.

Dad got his injection OK but she never took the blood sample as it was 'not on my list' and it seems that the patient is not allowed to request something like that on the spot, they have to get in touch with reception and they they will get in touch with the nurse to decide if it should go ahead, when asked which nurse decides he was told, 'probably me'.

We went dashing down to Lidl this morning to get an electric grater that was supposed to come in today but they never even arrived.

I am hoping to go along to the football today, we missed it twice yesterday, I am starting to think that Dad takes me there 'just too late' on purpose, still we got to see a fox in the park and that almost made up for it.

    Have Fun

Morning.  So far it was sunny here we are hoping it will really warm up as DD1 is coming with GS and hopefully have a meal in the garden.   If not she can take it home with her.  They have not been here except in the door step once before Christmas since September.  So hopefully it will be warm enough.  Fortunately we have two garden tables.

We have had a worry this week DD2 took GKs to the dentist on Wednesday and they did fluoride varnish. GD had been very anxious the day before going, she’s nearly six.She was sick soon after the treatment at home and has not eaten since.  She saw the GP on Thursday and yesterday went to A & E but they said she was not dehydrated.  Thankfully she has woken up this morning feeling a lot better but her mouth hurts still but she can talk now.

Hope all have a good Sunday.

Morning, hope the weather stayed ok for your DD1 and GS to come for dinner leanfun. Glad your GD has started to feel better after her trip to the dentist, it must have been a worry for you all.

I hope you went along for the football yesterday Duncan, you must be missing finding the balls, lol. The electric grater sounds good, let's hope your dad can get one when they eventually turn up.

It's raining here at the moment but I see on the news it's snowing and quite heavy in some places. Ummm, don't want the white stuff down here. I am going to see my nephew later as it's the youngest one's birthday although we won't go in the house we can stand in the garden and talk to them. Then on the way back I will pop in hairdressers and see when they can fit me in for a haircut. I am hoping with everything opening up the roads won't be too busy
Hope you all have a good day

Morning.  It’s snowing here!  Well just started snow flakes.   We were so lucky yesterday we were able to sit out in the garden with coats on.   The sun even came out at one point.  It’s was great to see the two of them but we are all a bit in our own worlds and not used to socialising.   GS has grown a lot and comes over my shoulders now.  I  did have him picking dandelions then he found a football in garage and tried kicking it into garden waste bin.    His football skills have improved so ball did not go over to next  door or out on to road.  He has a school craft project to make a Greek Temple in the holidays so I suggested to DD he did it here.  So they brought a bag of recycling and were looking around for bits and pieces and result did look ok and after saying he would make one on internet.  He did make something that looked like a Greek Temple.  I told him to make the internet on on mine craft as well.

Duncan you would have had a great time here with the football.  Your Dad’s comment about going backwards into winter is so true.   Pleased he  had the injection but the blood test sounds like a real jobs worth.  Everything is about saving time now that is the time of nurse not the person they are caring for.  Hope the electric grater comes in and you are able to buy one.

We have a small sweet chestnut tree in the garden.  It came from no where and I’ve tried chopping it down when it was smaller but it’s grown quite big.  Yesterday there was quite a large hole dug out near tree. I asked GS had he dug it out he said no it must be a rabbit.  He’s watched too much Peter Rabbit when he was younger.   Have to say it did look like a Peter Rabbit hole. Later I realised it would have been a squirrel.  There are a number of them in a neighbour’s garden in the tall trees.

Snow flakes stopped now.    Let’s hope it’s going to be warmer soon.

    Take care.

    Good Morning :)

We still have yesterday evening's snow on the ground this morning but the sun 'should' melt that away once it gets going but it was -4 this morning when we went out the first walk.

I got to watch the lads training for about half an hour yesterday but they took a break and Dad took his chance and dragged me away and then we found a ball in a different park, it was a good walk :)

I doubt if Lidl will get the grater in, they did put out a full size processor instead and chances are the stock went somewhere else, he may use my Argos vouchers to get one from there instead of my poop bags.

Kids are back to school today, we nearly were pushed off the footpath by the sheer numbers of them walking the opposite direction on our second walk, still it will be nice to be free of random bikes during the day again for a while.

    Take care

I have already had a bark at one bin lorry this morning and just waiting dor the second one to arrive.

Good news yesterday when we were told that the walking group is starting up again next Thursday so I will try not to be to excited when we are walking with other people again for the first time in over a year.

Morning,  we have the sun out as well, and it feels a little warmer, that's great news about the walking group Duncan. It will be nice to see friends again.
Our bin men came today, 2 days late. Don't know what happened on Monday but was going to ring them today to see what the problem was as looked on their website and nothing on there. I did wonder if it was to do with the workman's lorries being down here but the green bins were emptied Monday. I am going to do some gardening out back later, Nothing else planned
Hope you all have a good day

    Good Morning :)
Cold start again but warming up quickly, strange how it can feel warm even at 1 degree when you have already been out when it was -3.

Gas fitter coming today to replace the hob in the kitchen, Dad would have done it himself but for his sore arm.

He had a phone call with the physio yesterday and that got nowhere so he has to go see him in person on Monday, it is possibly a tendon that has been damaged, all I know is that I am getting the blame.

We will be short on walks until the fitter has gone but I'm sure that we will make up for lost time.

    Take Care

Morning.  Sun out here too but the last few days have been cold.  Pleased it’s warming up your way Duncan and you had the mini heat wave.  Indie hope you were able to make progress in your garden.
Duncan’s Dad sorry to hear about your arm it must be painful.  Hope physio can help.  Duncan hope the hub is fitted soon and you are off out again.  Try to take it easy for your Dad’s arm.

Here we have spent the whole week trying to arrange an appointment for DH’s second vaccination.  What a jobs worth.  He had the first one via GP.   Two weeks ago when he phoned them about a repeat prescription he asked about a second vaccination and was told they were sticking to the twelfth week to give out appointments.  That’s this week.  He spent all Monday and Tuesday afternoons trying to get through on the phone. Monday was told system was down Tuesday they had no appointments.  He was told to go on Wednesday afternoon to the centre he had the first and they would not turn him away because of his age.    Well that was useless as his first vaccination was the Pfizer one and they only have the Oxford one until Mid May.  Nice nurse said she might be able to get him an appointment at a pharmacy a long way away where there will be parking problems.   She would phone him.   No phone call.  DH has put in a complaint to GP practice.  The other centres near us are all using the Oxford vaccine.  Last night on internet we found out you can phone 119 to get an appointment so we are going to try that.

    Take care.

PS.   The box of games I won recently including world map arrived yesterday.  They are just the right age for GKs.
