They will then be able to help you.
But as someone else said use the CASS as all you need are your account details and debit card no. And maybe think that a bank with a branch near you will be a help.
Mny things can not be done via internet banking and rely on speaking to people. Some banks use the text to speak or a 3rd party co who you type to and they talk to the bank.
I don't need a card - just a balance transfer to my Nationwide flex account !

1/ You want to close the account?
2/ You want the money out.?
Do you have a branch of Lloyds near you? I have used Lloyds before to fix BOS problems.
What has been suggested by posters, is if possible use the switch service to close your account 1.
To move your money out 2.
Switch to a new account that will give you cash /incentive and then move your money to any where you like. "nationwide"?
Some bank details here: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/compare-best-bank-accounts/
It's not really that difficult!

50Twuncle said:So to use CASS - I just need to ask Nationwide to transfer my present BOS account to them - and they will do all of the donkey work ?Because believe it or not - despite emailing BOS on OnlineComplaints@bankofscotland.co.uk (an address found on BOS website) and also repeatedly tweeting then - they STILL will not even respond to me !I mean - what is wrong with this bank ?
We get emails from customers that have no information that allows you to work out who they are. They just expect that you know who they are from the email address/name. Its amazing the number of times you go back and say we do not know who you are and as email is a insecure method. No instructions can be taken. Unless they provide something that allows you to get their details. Then there is no way to contact them.
So via twitter I would expect them to direct message you back. (not sure how these show on twitter)
Via email give them you post code & full name.

BOS is not the problem I suspect.8

When I contacted BOS using the email address OnlineComplaints@bankofscotland.co.uk - I did give them my account number, sort code, full name and address - but still no responseWhen I tweeted them (still unresonded to ...) - it was just a general question on what email address to use !I have asked Nationwide to transfer my funds using CASSSo BOS IS the problem - not myself - I have followed the "rules" to the letter0
