Afternoon purps
quiet on here this morning. Your research sounds intriguing
I was due to go out with friends for a woodland walk and lunch but wasn't feeling up to it. So that saves £ and petrolI'm going to go and do some gardening and go for a local walk in a bit. Intending to be very gentle on myself today - portion of indian takeaway out of the freezer for tea, going to do some sewing and this evening have a pamper session this evening and watch a film
All meals from stores. Think I'll get through the day without spending and cashDF as at 30/12/16

Afternoon folks!
Purps - please can you tell me more about making your own kefir as I'm eating a lot of it at the moment.
Another slightly poxy sleep but I was a saint and got up, walked to the gym, did my work out and walked back. Went via the allotment and paced it out so this afternoon I can finally get the dimensions into my allotment planner software (free online one).
OH is gigging today poor thing. He's not really up to it but refused to cancel a second time.
My plans for this afternoon are:EAT ALL THE FOOD (I'm so hungry!)done
Draw up allotment plan done
Rootle about in the garden and shed a bit - I planted my free lavender plants, sort of planted OH's new tree (hopefully at least it won't die) tidied a few bits into the garden bin and scooped up a load of carp from by the kitchen drain as there's damp in the utility room. Bring old plastic greenhouse in done , wash in saved bath water and unpick at the seams. I want to try and reuse the plastic. done. Broke my stitch ripper though and had to cut it apart instead
Make stir fry for my teadone
Carry on with easy crochet blanketdone
Check PMP done
Poss put washing onto the line as it's quite breezy done
Heating off. Had to turn it up very warm yesterday as mil was over. I was in my t-shirt and she was under a blanket in the thick jumper. There's no good temp for the two of us!done
Early night
Am a bit unimpressed as opened the recycling bin to find that the boiler man had stuffed all of the rubbish inside (polystyrene, card, COPPER PIPES, bits of old boiler etc).
In his defense, our recycling bin is grey and our normal bin is green (pretty stupid IMHO)
Have removed all non-recyclables to the main bin. Have fished out copper pipe to either sell or take to the tip.
Have a good one all

Afternoon allBad throat / virus thing still, but dosed myself up and am keeping the faithHome grown fruit from freezer with breakfast - operation empty the freezers continues, and will do for some time!Load of washing, out on line blowing about. It will dry if a) it doesn't get rained on, and b) it doesn't blow away!Hoovered round downstairs and did a bit of dustingQuick bathroom cleanPlanted out the forget me not plants I got from a fellow freecycler the other day - I like pretty, old fashioned flowers that seed themselves amongst the vegetablesGot rid of some stuff into the compost binBrought in and cleaned a propagator thing that looks like a miniature greenhouse. I got it for 50p at a car boot sale, and it is now on the table with my tomato seeds in it.Lunch was fridge bits and more of my strange pesto loaf, nicer than it sounds, as it included nice pate and home made fruit chutney.Sold 3 ebay items and listed 4 moreCleaned the brass castors of a Canterbury (old fashioned sheet music stand thing on wheels) that OH has tarted up a bit. He has put the castors back on, and I have put it upstairs for now, but will sell it at some point.Dinner will be pasta and tomato sauceI now have 3 parcels to pack ready to post off to ebay buyers, and will have slightly emptier kitchen cupboards

@PurpleFairy26 Like Clf, I'd be interested to know about the kefir too
@DawnW I hope you're feeling better soon but it sounds like you've had a productive day!
@ziggy2407 we had the same plan for the gym but we didn't manage to get our act together either!
@carrielovesfanta Hope your oh is feeling better soon, its been a while.
@determined_new_ms Your day sounds lovely
Back to normality here, in the way of the Small Things we'veUnpacked our suitcases (we had a washer/drier in our accommodation this time so I washed/dried most of our stuff whilst we were away
) So nice not to come home and spend the weekend washing!
Breakfast was nice and cheap (and healthy) porridge
Went to visit my parents, dad offered to do us brunch but after a week of cooked breakfasts we didn't stay for food. Was really nice to catch up on all the news as they weren't well before we went on holiday so it seemed a long time since we'd seen them! All the kids told them was about all the food they'd eaten!
Walked to the library before heading home to pick up a book ds1 had put on hold
Called into the coop to look at their reduced counter but although it was full of stuff it was all processed food which we didn't want to buy anyway so we left empty handed (that doesn't happen often!)
Put a beef stew in to the slow cooker for a nice easy meal tonight
Ordered an exercise dvd from cex, dvd is only 50p but will pay £1.50 extra for postage but its vouchers from stuff we've sold to them anyway so no effect on my bank balance and its a dvd we used to have years ago so I know I'll like it.
Claimed a £5 amzn voucher from rm surveys
Evening (after the rugby) will be spent watching a dvd from our stash and snuggling under our fleece blankets
I think thats it for today, take care all.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Must. Remember. The. Weekly. Thread.
Although you're most lucky I haven't been around this week. I have had 2 kitties at the vet, and only got to bring one of them home. And the one I brought home has had major surgery (naughty tortie again) costing over £900. I'm praying that the insurance pays out for the one that died because that bill is even higher. Nothing related - just extremely bad luck.
It's knocked me down and off the wagon. Again. I need to get back on it. Diet. Budget. Everything...
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
