Morning all
it’s another grim weather day here, we’d like to go out for a walk today but will have to see how it pans out. Several local open spaces were closed yesterday due to the weather. Today’s list either way:
have cooked breakfast at home as a treat
free roast dinner from food in freezer, including last of Christmas meat
get ready for school tomorrow
Look at next months budget
set up YN AB on DH phone
spring clean one area/ sort through
some knitting
Make soup for lunches
test my kombucha
have a good day all. Purps.7 -
Morning allSo sorry about your kitty CCL. Hope Tortie's results come back with good news.Still coughing etc, weather is horrible here too, but not as bad as the last 2 weekends! Been out to a market this morning (I was up anyway). Only bought bits for my business to sell on, and a packet of sherbet lemons that I thought might help my throat, but they don't really.Must head to Mr S shortly. Only have a small list, but really need the things on it, having put it off for about 3 days.I have ebay items to packFood will be from homeNot much sleep, so probably going to get an early night.5

Morning purps. It's windy here too but I need to take the dog out so will have to face it
be good for me to get out and bow out the cobwebs
CCL sorry to hear of your recent feline sadness (and expenses) fingers crossed for the ins payout and sending positive thoughts out to you on that climb back on the wagon
Today I pick up madam from dd's. Will have dinner with her and madam before coming home. Going to do a couple of bits of diy for her
Yesterday I sorted out my compost tumbler. I've never really got my head around compost but this year I want to. I've been reading in a book about it and yesterday I put together a batch. I'll keep adding to it over the next week then close it down. Hopefully if I got it right I'll have compost in 8 weeks
* I want to take some things cluttering the garden down to the tip
* would like to vacuum out the car but will see how I am for time
* list a few things for free on facebook
* Will check tyres before the journey
* Could do with picking up fruit juice & squash. Have invited the inlaws to dinner next week so might as well work out what to have and then can pick up anything needed
* get madam's bit's ready for school tomorrow
* would like to do some sewing this evening. There are 2 projects I want to do. One carrying on with baby blanket for ds' baby due soon. I'll sew the backing on and start the stitching in the ditch. The other is adapting a pattern for a jumper I want to make. I've made it before and would like it to be looser and a few inches longer
* listen to audiobookDF as at 30/12/16

Hi gang 👋
@crazy_cat_lady - big hugs to you. These little animals are such a big part of our families 😥
@carrielovesfanta - I can't believe your OH went out gigging with him still feeling poorly... Hope he's not feeling worse from it.
@ziggy2407 - hope you sleep a little better tonight 😘
Big hellos to everyone else (passes round coffee and cake...) ☕☕☕🍰🍰🍰
Well, best laid plans here...the chicken I got out for last night's tea hadn't defrosted so we did end up with take away...🙄
Our baby monitor has broken too so that was another expense I wasn't expecting... Got a 30% off voucher so not too bad. I did only buy the other one for £10 second hand so definitely had our money's worth... Also had to buy 2 stair gates so more coming out of the baby fund this weekend. 💸
Right, I definitely need to get on with this form for work!! Please make me do this as I'm totally procrastinating over it and it's ridiculous... Little one is sleeping so I should be doing it now, but I know I won't...🤦♀️ 😜

Hi CCL so sorry to hear about your pet saga and loss.
Its a weird warm and windy day here, somehow washed and vacuumed the car. Now need to do the rest of the house! After my physically negative respons to going into work on Friday I do genuinely think that part of my problem is tha actual building and basically teaching 6 hours a day 3 days a week in a room with no daylight. And a very passive aggressive feel in staffroom, probably mostly my projection. Anyways have a list of job applications to write.
And my to do list for the weekend:
Yesterday:
Postoffice - done
walk dog - done
run - done
colour hair (henna so 4 hour project) - done
set up ds driving theory app - done
Today:
Give ds a lift to sports training at 7! -done
Make shopping list - done
Shop in 2 supermarkets done - on budget
Take glass to recycling
Walk dog done - done
wash car - done
Make rice pudding - is in slow cooker at the mo - being done
Still to do:
do some drawing
vacuum
bathroom
prep for work
job applications
swim(am cutting this to keep down cost this week)
Bake bread
Pre-cook some chicken for tomorrow
So altogether a fairly productive weekend, with a lot of MSE type of activity.
Hope everybody has a nice Sunday evening and are ready for the new list tomorrow xIsa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%

Afternoon folks!
@La_escocesa - he's fine thanks, just very tired. His mum was rather worried about him going out but he's got nothing to do today other than sleep
I wasn't going to bother posting as it's a work day and my lists are dull so I thought I'd pep it up by listing ALL the things:Enjoyed my brekkie by lamp light instead of main lights
Opened all the curtains (OH doesn't do this)
Left brekkie bowl soaking to minimise water wastage from scrubbing (porridge!)
Heating off
Charge phone in work
Make sure that I only have the light on in the room I'm using
Walk to work (it's 2 miles so not to be sniffed at)
Ring mum while walking (saves me time at other times!)
Get pack of pea seeds from B&M at lunch time as allotment plan revealed I would need them
Check PMP
Use focus app to stay off Facebook
B/L/D from stores
Dinner will be chicken from freezer and veg we have in
Sent OH a link to a perennial flower offer that FB advertised to me
Adjusted dehumidifier to come on slightly less often
Refilled vinegar&water spray bottle that I use for cleaning
Wash up in bowl. I am mending my water wasting ways
Bit of blanket crochet
Discuss compost delivery with OH
Put message on allotment group re compost delivery to see what the rules are
Early night as I'm cream crackered
Have a good one all

Afternoon all,
The weather here is windy but dry for a change!
So far today I'veHad a cuppa and catch up with a good friend - we got to sit in peace in my conservatory and caught up on all our news which was lovely. (and no money spent!)
Made families lunches for back to school/work tomorrow from stores
Cooked two chickens in the oven at the same time to make the most of the oven being on - carcass is now in the slowcooker to make stock
Lunch was warm chicken sandwiches for dh & the kids, I finished off the last of yesterdays beef stew - no waste here!
Went for a walk round the block with dh as I needed to get some steps in - left my purse at home so that we weren't tempted to spend anything
30 min exercise dvd done instead of heading out to the gym as I was a bit short on time as I wanted to be able to watch this afternoons rugby
All veg prepped ready for a chicken dinner tonight, will be plenty of veg left over for tomorrow nights meal too (I'm having that problem wisdom tooth out tomorrow so might end up blitzing it for soup for me!)
Continue food diary which not only helps the waist line but the food lasts longer too!
Share bathwater later (letting hair dry naturally too)
Thats it for today I think, take care all.
