Good morning from the INCREDIBLY warm chez Fanta. My word, I hadn't realised how bad that old boiler had gotten. OH nearly scalded himself getting into a hot bath and I nearly blistered my scalp with the shower
We've been playing about with the room thermostat but still manged to make our room a bit too hot last night.
I need to find out now if the LL is planning on having someone come and decorate the utility room as obviously there are screw holes, cracks, painting needing sorting where the boilers are different sizes etc. I am perfectly happy to do it myself as I already have everything I need. My LL would either A: jump at the chance because he won't have to pay or B: not want me to touch it with a barge pole just because.
Today's mission:B/L/D from stores
Make sure OH starts eating more again - done
Go to gym later (tells herself that she will)
Heating off? I'm sweating like a pig at the moment hahaha - it's cooled down now!
Good tidy round. Everything is out of place in the kitchen/utility
Put sealant in the holes I discovered in the skirting board where the waste outflow pipe is. I found a slug coming in through it yesterday morning, which explains where they are coming from
- done
Picked up superglue yesterday so go round fixing bits - done
Crochet. All this illness means that my latest blanket is coming along thick and fast - done
Reconcile budget sheet - done
Make a meal plan for next week - done
Will add anything else I need to as I go
Have a good one all

Hi gang 🖐
You've put me in the mood for rice pudding now... 🤤
@determined_new_ms - yip, still trying to keep up with TOMM but this week has been a write off - place is a total tip, but just with general mess rather than actual dirt and dust so I guess it's still better overall. 🤣 Hope work goes ok for you m'dear.🤞
@carrielovesfanta - ooh, exciting warm house 👏
I sold some stuff today - £33 so happy about that. Going to list something else later.
Sorted YNAB - a wee bit out of kilter because OH has paid for some expenses that won't be paid back until the middle of next month.
Listening to the Dave Ramsey podcast - a bit US-centric but still good.
Went to a wee baby club today - was free because we're going to that nursery later in the year - free coffee and cake for me too. 🤗
Slow cooker is on with some veg I need to use up - tin of toms, tin of chickpeas and some spices. Will have with jacket potatoes and salad later.
Catch up soon party people 🍻4 -
Afternoon allReally struggling with motivation today - I didn't sleep well, don't feel great, and think I am fighting something off. Hope I continue to do so! Not really done much at all so far, just a bit of tidying up, put washing on airer as it has been raining heavily for most of the day, and sowed my tomato seeds, covered the pots with a plastic bag and put them at the window end of my big dining table to germinate. The stove is lit already, because it is just so miserable, dark and wet. At least it is cheery in here!Had HG fruit from freezer for breakfast, and fridge shrapnel, with some of the rather strange pesto and sundried tomato bread I made yesterday, for lunch. Dinner will be stuff from freezer, with some freshly cooked veg, followed by the rest of the rice pudding I made yesterday (I like it even better cold!) for pudding. Really ought to make a cake. No plans to go anywhere (got drenched enough over the last few days) or spend anything, so that is MSE at least!Forced myself to take the dog out during a brief lull between rain, sleet and hail episodes. Got back just before a load of white stuff (not snow, more like ice crystals) fell out of the sky and coated the garden. The dog would have been horrified if we had been caught out in that 😱 and I wouldn't have liked it much either!Made a cake, a light fruit one, as I have dried fruit of various kinds left over from Christmas. I used some raisins, mixed peel and glace cherriesCooked up and mashed the 3 biggish potatoes I had left, used some for dinner, and put the rest in the fridge to top a fish pie tomorrow. The fish will come from the freezer, and I got some pate out as well, for lunches. Doing quite well at using stuff from the freezer, which is just as well, as they are both rammed, and I need to get them emptied (or mostly emptied) and defrosted. Looking for some low food spends over the next few months.

Hi all,
Now I am craving rice pudding! I think I have fancy yellow sticker one at the bottom of the freezer from months ago. Not as nice as home made, but with a can of tinned fruit it'll do.
I send books away to Music Magpie yesterday and should get about £28 for them so that's nice.
Okay I need to motivate myself. Plans for the rest of today...
* Take the clothes off the dryer, fold them and put them away
* Make roll dough and bake rolls. These will do for lunch tomorrow and burgers tomorrow night
* Do the bl**dy dishes! I really hate doing dishes and they are building up!
* Sit down and do a bit of mending this evening. There are quite a few small things that need doing that won't take long but will feel like progress. I'm not a huge fan of mending either
* Possibly finish the marmalade
Live the good life where you have been planted.
