Eon smart meters IHD constantly restarting with lost connection?

Hi, there is a known issue at the moment with some in home displays that won't show any date and this issue is industry wide. If your display shows all dashed (-----) or 'Awaiting Data' We can't provide a time frame for when this will be fixed whilst we await an update ^PT

Malc did retire in April.
Kromauk, that's about right, So there is an industry wide problem with HAN stability that is causing issues seen on IHDs. It's not normally a fault with the actual IHD itself. The comms hub time – the comms hub may stray/become unreliable so it stops issuing the time with the data it sends the IHD. That means the IHD doesn’t know where to put the data so it displays ‘Waiting for current data’. This is a network issue and we don't have a time frame for this.
The only update I have is that we are working with the DCC and we hope most issues can be resolved in a future firmware release.
I do realise this is really frustrating and I'm really sorry it isn't something I can fix.

I've had this problem since December 2019 and little or no response from EoN. meter will read the gas back to the IHD and to EoN, but no electricity reading to the IHD or to EoN.
At the moment the estimated readings are fairly accurate. Out of principle, I won't do a manual reading for them.

            Lo and behold, not only is my IHD not working, it turns out that my smart meter has gone dumb and isn't sending readings to Eon. Great! 😭0

I have eventually managed to get through to EoN and they claim it is an industry wide issue, with one saying it will be a software fix. I somehow think i's a bit more than that and will require hardware, as it seems there is a failure in the comms between the electric meter and the head unit that provides info to the supplier and the IHDKromauk said:Lo and behold, not only is my IHD not working, it turns out that my smart meter has gone dumb and isn't sending readings to Eon.
