I got the IHD to work by following what @MiniFlyer suggested on my EON account preferences.
Thanks @MiniFlyer

My IHD seems to have sprung back to life on it's own without doing anything. It's worth leaving it on while it's doing the restart loop if the suggestion from @MiniFlyer doesn't work. If mine goes down again i'll try what @MiniFlyer suggested

Will people get the fix if they have switched to an energy provider that doesn’t use smart meters ?My smart meter was installed by bulb and I switched to Yorkshire energy which doesn’t use smart meters. I’m not sure if the fix would be sent by Yorkshire energy or someone else ??0

My smart meter display developed this fault yesterday. Eon say it’s still a problem with no resolution.🙄0

I have the same issue and Eon were not much help. Come on EON let have a fix, or switch over to an app that can do the same job. It's frustrating to have this go wrong.0

I have separate IHD's for Gas (British Gas) and Electricity (NPower) both these failed to connect on the 15th May. I cannot believe both IHD's failed at the same time and think it is more a network problem from the company that operates it.0

brewerdave said:You have me confused - my understanding is that the "smart" gas meter has to communicate with the leccy meter to send the readings "back to base" - how does that work with separate suppliers??0

My meter readings apparently are still being sent0

If the IHD interrogated the gas meter directly, it's repeated requests for data would flatten the gas meter's battery in no time.0
