Hi Frugal Friends,
So this week is going to be all about getting stuff moved on. Within that goal, there are several smaller ones:
*To have made some progress with implementing the next stage of our home improvements plan by the end of this week.
*To have moved on a number of piles of stuff/jobs which have sat around for a while. Not all of these tasks will be done by me as Mr F is off work 4 days this week & so far, seems to be in a good headspace for blitzing outstanding tasks.
*Continue 'eating up' as freezer is very full again. Bear this in mind when meal planning for next week & writing shopping list too.
*Write out February & March's garden plans.
*Get back into the routine of checking for surveys as I welcome the income, but haven't been putting as much effort in recently.
*Arrange to visit friend on same day as braving the Swedish Emporium as both in same area. Taking birthday gifts with us will save paying for post on a chunky parcel.
*Make a decision about tent.
*Shift at least a few tasks from my 'Annoying Things' list.
*Keep all budgets updated as usual - this is a habit now - it's so important.
*Enjoy the snow.....if it lays. It isn't yet, although there is plenty of it coming down atm.
Wishing everyone a good week.

How to add colour to your signature:
Looks like you need to BBcode to add colour to your signature. In other words, do the same as above but you need to put this before the part you want in colour:And this after:
[color=#008B8B]
[/color]
You can find the colour names and BBCode colours here if you want something more exotic than red or blue: (Link)

Afternoon allNot much done so far, but nothing spent either, so not all bad.Looked after GD this morning while DD took little GS to toddler group. Poor little thing, she is itchy and tearful and her arm hurts
Spent the morning cuddled up in our bed, reading stories, eating cream crackers and watching cartoons on my phone. Must remember to brush the crumbs from OH's side of the bed! 🙄
Spent most of this afternoon sorting out my sales unit, as I often do on MondaysThe weather is still foul, not quite so windy as yesterday, but keeps pouring with rain ☹Really ought to finish sorting out the spare room and ensuite, as there are toys, duvets and pillows and sales stock items all over the floorDone
And hoover the stairs Not doneDinner will be frozen pizza as I don't feel very motivated today. I actually bucked up my ideas and made Jack Monroe's carrot and chickpea falafel. They are easy and quick, were tasty with HM chilli jam (or whatever sauce you like, Jack recommended tomato ketchup), and used ingredients I already had. I made patties rather than the traditional falafel shape. Will definitely make again.Off to nag OH to light the stove while I get on with this I think. A neighbour has asked him to remove a small tree in his garden that has been blown over in the gales, so he is pleased about that - there will be some free wood for his crafts, and some firewood tooHope the weather clears up a bit over the next few days so that he can get it done before he heads off for few days on Friday.
Ally, thanks very much for all the effort you are putting in with regard to the list you put up every week, and the work arounds for the flaky new forum. It is much appreciated.

Hi all.
Will be a more active member this week rather than lurking like normal. My aims for this week are:- Update DFW diary
- Keep on top of spending tracking spreadsheet
- Go to the gym at least twice to make use of membership
- Book exam (last one then current level of qualification finished)
- Start collating and listing stuff to sell in local indoor boot fair at the beginning of March
- See if I can book place in indoor boot fair at the beginning of March
- Work out next planned Ramblers walk I want to do (to make use of membership)
- Put brown bin out for garden waste collection so I can get filling it up again
- Work out when seeds need to be sown and make plan
- Put mini greenhouse up in garden
- Sort through outstanding toiletries, amend list and sort out any items I want to dispose of or sell
- Look at ways to make some additional money
My plan for the remainder of today is to update my diary, update my spending tracking spreadsheet for spending over the last few days, go through my seeds and make a sowing plan and look through the upcoming Ramblers walks list.

Found you
I go away three weeks to mark an exam contract, and get back to all change and no clue what is going on any more. I wish I'd seen your brilliant posts sooner Ally. I am going to try and see if I can get this into my colour as I'm really missing that.
Anyway - lots has happened while I've been gone - mainly the fact that the court finally found in my favour and awarded me the house and my pension without ex being able to have anything from either. Which is brilliant, except the massive debt I've run up going to court over and over again, coupled with my house going down in value has meant that my mortgage lender are not keen on renewing my mortgage the way they were 18 months ago before all this happened.
Means I'm in full on debt busting mode again - saving every penny that I can and throwing it at this blimming credit card. I've become marginally obsessed with the budget now and cutting back wherever I can. Long may it last.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

So erm yes, anyway. Been to the docs today and they have ordered a poop testTMI I know, but when I asked the dr how I was to collect the *ahem* sample she said to use my imagination and gave me a pair of rubber gloves

If you are looking for the disappointed emoji, for example, typing : and d at the same time will give you that emoji. I'll add this to my hints.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama8 -
How to add more emojis to your post:
