Along with airlines going bust - for which obviously I sympathise with those losing their jobs on the one hand v. being aware this is likely to mean less planes flying over peoples houses (including during the night) on the other hand as the plus side to this. People living near a really bad source of noise (like Heathrow) must be delighted at this by and large.
Another "ill wind" positive I foresee (though this is a few years down the line I'd say) is that, courtesy of various office-based workers working from home much more/maybe all the time for the duration of the C. Virus - and suspicious type employers see it is working out better than they thought and so do the workers - then that's a positive "shot in the arm" for workers being able to say "Since it's proven I can do my job from home - then I can live where I please then" and being freer to move to more remote areas and that's a plus for said remote areas (ie helping to regenerate their local economy etc). Taking people out of cities that have too many people and putting them in remote areas (that could do with more people).

Re; coronoavirus, one good idea I've heard bandied about is that shopping centres may open early for vulnerable customers who can use the facilities while the places are clean. After they've got supplies, the rest of us can do our shopping. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker7

I suppose that would mean that those Vulnerables would need some proof - a letter from the doctor? That’s a lot more work for doctors.
Or possibly a prescription counterfoil? But then the bod on the door would need to know what drugs to look for, and there could be hundreds.

Hanging in here. Crisis team haven't arrived yet. Listening to relaxing music and doing mindfulness to try to stop what I now realise are depressive negative thoughts. When I had fewer of them I could control them but I can't do that now.I was doing quite well until someone started to have their trees pruned and that resulted in a wood chopping machine running in the road and the noise means I can't relax anymore even with the music running from ear buds I can still hear it. I am very sensitive to noise. I can usually block it out because I have had a lot of practice at doing that but today all my control is taken up with this anxiety and depression and I can't block that noise out. The noise is affecting me a lot. Welcome to the world of autistic spectrum.8

PasturesNew said:I popped out for a couple of bits, with a half-4rsed sort of list to remind myself what I was looking for. Hit several shops.... got 1Kg of crisps
1/ 4ldi: 2 bars of chocolate, 2 jars of coffee, 1 6-pack of loo roll, a net of easy peelers/satsumas (on special this week), 2 flatbreads
2/ Mr T: wanted specific peas, but they were out of those ones. Bought 4x4-packs of cup a soup, 2 bananas, 6-pack of apples, tin of satsumas, gravy granules, pack of stuffing mix
3/ Lidl: a reduced price cheese pasta salad (eaten from a viewpoint with a sea view in the car), a reduced price pack of 4 samosas (for later), a pack of fizzy jelly sweets, 2 pouch rices, honey nut cornflakes, 2 tins of marrowfat peas
4/ an out of date food warehouse, 32 packs of 32.5g Walkers crisps and a bag containing 20 small packs of Refreshers Softies sweeties.
But it doesn't need cooking and the apples and easy peelers were both on special offer this week.
I won't starve.
Just had an experience. The doorbell rang, but not expecting anyone/anything. Was in two minds whether to go to the door. In the end I did, but stood in the porch and explained why I wasn’t opening the outer door.
The chap was just offering window surveys, etc., but after I had explained, he said that he hadn’t got it (the virus). My first thought, unspoken, was, how do you know?
Anyway, afterwards, I realised that, although the porch door was closed, the door itself isn’t airtight, is it? There’s a tiny gap all the way round it which would be as wide as the Russian Steppes to a virus! 😱
Next time, I either shan’t go to the door at all, or shall stand as far away from it as I can while still able to converse.
Another random thought........ I started singing “I’m gonna wash that virus right outta my hands” to the tune of “I’m gonna wash that man right outta my hair” from South Pacific!
The first four lines, if sung slowlyish, last 20 seconds.
That is my contribution to society! 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 😁
Where’s my MBE, then?(I just lurve spiders!)

Crisis team have been and I have an appointment to see a psychiatrist tomorrow morning.Trying not to think about that. The noise has stopped so I can do some more mindfulness to try to control this with the help of diazepam.

Pastures without her Pot Noodle #where'stheeeksmiliegone?
Feeling glad I've been spending the last few years experimenting like mad with all sorts of different foods to find out what I like and what to do with it - in current circumstances.
Wondering what everyone else is planning on doing without many of their normal social life activities. Just seen yet another of my regular social things being cancelled. Thank goodness it's spring coming on - so it will be possible to Go Out For A Walk sometimes.
