Re. soap types, I’m no industrial chemist, but I believe that the basic ‘soapy’ ingredients are much of a muchness, but that it’s extra things they add that make it handwash or shower gel or shampoo.
I think I mentioned that I gave up on bottles of handwash ages ago, and only buy bar soap now.(I just lurve spiders!)

Thanks Pastures - you reminded me that OH bought a set of four good quality scented soaps from a catalogue a couple of Christmases ago as a Christmas present for no one specific, and it's still knocking around upstairs
Sue So glad youngest found some. Our 12y.o. DGD chivvied her mother to buy her her very own hand sanitiser to take to school! It took DD ages to find any. I'm not surprised youngest is raging xx5 -
Mr Boris has just been doing some live announcement thing. I was watching, then it died, as I have no idea where I was or what I was watching it on/via... it was some BBC watch party thing.
So ... in the 1 minute I did watch he said about older people staying in, when/how long for. He said they expect it to peak in 10-14 weeks. Older people should stay in 2-3 weeks before the peak, over the peak and 2-3 weeks after the peak as 50% of people will be infected in that slot.
He said they can't start staying in now ..... as that's just too long. The peak +/- 3 weeks is the most dangerous time.
Somebody asked "how old is old" but I doubt he answered that and, if he did, it was after my feed dropped. So we'll never know if we're old or not

I think it was a bit different for people with underlying health problems, as opposed to just being ‘old’.
Anyway, I ain’t going anywhere, except to my hospital appointment next week, whatever they say. My breathing’s not too bad at the moment. If I get too stir-crazy I can go out for a drive in the car but not get out unless it’s in a deserted place!
There was actually a good deal of very useful info on that live thing. They will have a comprehensive summary of it on the news, so I recommend watching that. The Chief Med. and Chief Scientific bods come over as excellent.

You just have to think it through a bit. e.g. not where you have to go near a machine and pay for parking; the seat/bench might look comfy but you don't know who was on it half an hour ago so sitting in the car's safer; go for a wee before you go out6 -

Re the wee, if it’s deserted enough, there’s always the nearest bush! 😂
And maybe a flask wouldn’t be a good idea, in that case! 😁(I just lurve spiders!)

Managed to get locked out of my account by forgetting new password. Back now. Was going to suggest to Pastures that if LL has new property, now would be a good time to take all the extraneous crap, I mean beautiful possessions out of the room and suggest that she uses them to dress the new house. Then box everything up and stick it on the landing.

@HAMISH_MCTAVISH The Spanish Flu epidemic lasted from 1918 to 1920, so your three months supplies are looking a bit sparse.
@PasturesNew Assuming GCHQ are monitoring this forum, after your comments about gun turrets, your concerns about accommodation may shortly be at an end for the next 10-15 years. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?7 -
