That house was demolished in the 1970s.Ditzy_Mitzy said:
You ought to tell 'Insulate Britain' all about it; a few protestors are bound to glue themselves to your window frames, which would solve the draught problem free of cost.General_Grant said:
I lived in a house with original sash windows. Definitely wouldn't be approved of by "Insulate Now" protesters.Ocelot said:
Why would original windows be a concern? Surely cheap plastic replacements would be more of a concern.General_Grant said:

That is nice, isn't it. Comes with everything one might want and all done to a high standard. The only concern is service charges, which aren't mentioned in the agent's bumf.hedgewitchery said:Beautiful features and location but a bit of an odd layout and with a strangely unlived-in vibe:

But I like your insulation solution.2 -
Fabulous idea. I wonder if you could patent it and make money?Ditzy_Mitzy said:

Post of the day! "One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate change policy is environmental policy. Instead, climate change policy is about how we redistribute de facto the world's wealth." - Ottmar Edenhofer, IPCC economist, interviewed at COP161 -
Unfortunately, the human body is not a particularly good material to use for insulation. If you really want to compare, this table provides a few numbers - https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Thermal-Properties-of-the-Human-Body_tbl1_228625768As a draught excluder, if you can squish it up enough to seal the gaps, the material should work in the short term. But over time, expect it to putrefy, shrink, and fall out.A better solution would be to convert the body in to energy to heat the property. Andrei Molodkin has perfected a process to produce a crude oil - No idea how much would be liberated or if the process yields more energy than it uses. Alternatively, put the protesters on a treadmill or exercise bike linked to a generator - If feed in tariffs were still a thing, it could have been quite profitable.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Pic 2 - no blinds/curtains and no frosted glass. Talk about putting on a show for the neighbours

I don't think that is a real flat. The Rightmove entry only really talks (vaguely) about the complex as a whole, no floorplans, and the view from the window doesn't seem to fit Google Street View. The show home isn't even available to view yet. And 2 baths in a one-bedroom flat?AFF8879 said:Pic 2 - no blinds/curtains and no frosted glass. Talk about putting on a show for the neighbours

Two bathrooms seems a waste in a one bed flat. A bit of a rush job cobbling together cgi for the advert!AFF8879 said:Pic 2 - no blinds/curtains and no frosted glass. Talk about putting on a show for the neighbours

as advert refers to studios, 1 & 2 bed apartments. Photo of 2 bathrooms probably relates to the 2 beds.
Position of cooker is an accident waiting to happen though1 -
