  • Businessstudent did you read the posts properly? - it's not the M & S website, it's the lack of follow up customer service for on-line orders that is pi**ing posters off.

BTW many folk can't get to a store and that is why they shop on-line.

Sorry BS (that's business student:p) you havn't read the tread (don't blame you ;)) after my online order of 17 items failed, I went to my local store and bought it all in-store. This thread was a rant about M&S online shopping....

Take your point though - the service instore is often excellent and the staff can be very very accommodating and friendly. I like shopping on line as I work at home and it's easier to have things delivered (well so you'd think:o)
  • :snow_laug Don't get me wrong I like M & S stuff and would shop there regularly [more so if I could afford it  , so I'm not having a pop at them in general - just at the online lack of service.

Businessstudent: as others have subsequently pointed out since your last post, there are some people that are housebound or "have issues" - you have to think outside the box sometimes  .

You seem very knowledgeable on M & S and a bit defensive on their behalf. Any employment history there by any chance? ;)

BusinessStudent ive previously ordered from the instore desk and they even mess that up. I order items and they somehow end up at other stores everytime, or they have no stock left. My local store looks like a jumble sale and they havent had deliveries for weeks now(forget 3 times a week here:eek:), thank goodness i can buy shoes and clothes elsewhere on the net as christmas stock is obviously their priority now.

I usually love the m&s christmas sale, but doubt i will be placing another order this year. Last year was a nightmare.

Ahhhh the christmas sale - I think we'll have a few additions to this thread if the summer sale is anything to go by:p. No I don't think I'll be bothering with that...:D

Placed an order for over £90, used a £10 promotional voucher.

Got an email 2 days later saying "1 or more" of the items is out of stock and has been cancelled - they don't tell you what item(s), you have to log in and work out for yourself what's missing!

The cancelled item took me below the voucher discount threshhold, and they've cancelled the £10 off too without telling me! I would have been happy to choose something else to get it back over the £90 but didn't get the option.

Have dropped them a line about the discount, we'll see what happens.

I am still waiting for an item from my previous order with them, which if it doesn't turn up I will probably lose another discount  not very impressed so far as these are my first 2 orders with them.
