But the CCBC have to send the Claimant a copy of your Defence for them to then decide if they wish to continue with the claim. If they confirm a wish to proceed, that's the point at which you should receive your DQ. They have a 21 (maybe it's 28?) day deadline to confirm with the CCBC.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    It is 28 days.

Yes, that's also stated in CCBC letter that they've served a copy of my defence to the claimant.

Received a DQ request from PPC's solicitor a couple of days ago. Not happy with this as they pre-filled some data which I would like to change according to NEWBIES thread and DQ form advice found on this forum. Can I just send them a self-completed DQ form instead? Should I wait for a DQ form received from CCBC and send them both at the same time or is it better to send a DQ to PPC's solicitor as soon as possible?

Surely you understand that both the Claimant and the Defendant file a DQ with the court?
Both the Claimant and Defendant should also send a copy to their adversary.

It sounds like you have received a copy of the Claimant's DQ.

If you haven't done so already, you now need to complete one and send it to both the court and the Claimant. This is all described in detail in that list you were following when you filed your Defence.

    ??
This is their copy of their DQ
You fill out a blank one, and you send to the court AND to the claimant
Or are you seriously suggestijng they asked you to fil this out?
  • Just to clarify - I have received TWO copies of the DQ, one completed by/on behalf of the claimant and one partially filled in, with some fields left empty, with an advice to completing one of the attached form and sending it back to them. That's what confused me here. Yes I know I must file a DQ with the court but haven't received anything from CCBC so far. Checked on MCOL website and found nothing about DQ request, but found that they have filed a DQ already.

Either fill in the DQ sent to you by the court, or download one, fill it in, then send it as required.

If the Claimant has sent you a partially completed DQ for you to complete, I would ignore it.

I repeat, have a look again at that list you were following when filing you Defence.
There are clear instructions following the line -
    6. After filing your Defence, there is more to do.
