Tired Mum .. loads of hugs. sorry i missed your post first time round - so taken with other things. Think DS did just the right thing.. bullies hate the ones who fight back. good on him for standing up to them.
  • Tired Mum, I just wanted to send lots of hugs :grouphug: it is heartbreaking to see your children suffering.

I was bullied once, and it culminated in the girl and about 20 of her friends tracking me down in a local park. She tried to pick a fight, but I just walked away and she made a complete fool of herself by shouting after me.

She never caused any more trouble after that :j

Bullies feed off your fear, so you have to pretend that you're not scared even though you are totally bricking it

Hope things start to get better now that he has stood up to them
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D

TIRED MUM - I think TAURUSGB has the right idea; as it's gone on for so long and nothing has been done by the school, get the police involved. It made me cry reading what your DS had written. No-one, absolutely no-one, should have to go through that. (((Hugs))) to you both.

  • Tired mum - hugs for you and your DS. No child should have to go through that treatment.

Just heard some bad news from the Small Penguins. Friends of ours who run the newsagents in our village, were robbed this morning, and one of the staff held at knife point. The shop was cordoned off for much of the day. Tried to ring my friends, but their phone is constantly engaged. Will try and catch them tomorrow- though it'll probably make the front page of tomorrow's local paper.

Tierd mum - ((HUGS)) to you and your DS, i hope things will be easier for him now xxx
  • First to say tired mum, how sorry I am that your DS has suffered in this way. ((((hugs))))) to you all. His statement has brought tears to my eyes. Please tell him how brave we all think he is. But also that he is so right to be comfortable being who he is, a decent young man, so different from the cowards who attack him. I really think you are getting to the point that you'll have to contact the police. I agree with Nelski, outside the school grounds this would not be dismissed so lightly. I am so sick of schools stating that they have an anti-bullying policy in place as if the words being on the paper solves it all:rolleyes:

PenPen how awful for your friends, and such a worry that something so horrible could happen in your village. It must be a dreadful shock to you all. Hope they are OK.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
  • Hope your friends are ok PenPen. What a dreadful thing to happen.
