Scuzz - I just couldnt do it, I cant deal with being cold and no hot water!!! (((Hugs))) also to you.

Feeling happy and positive today. Just about to clean kitchen and empty wm which was on overnight. Packed lunch done. Am off out this morning to another village as need birthday card and some xmas gift tags. Will meet my sister there for coffee which will be nice.

Once home will be a mixture of housework and paperwork - need to get my essential paperwork done and then do some horrible filing jobs later in the week. Didnt get things listed on ebay yesterday so need to do that today also.

When received my massive Tesco shop yesterday realised that for some reason I had ordered double portions of swedes and carrots so plan to cook that up this afternoon mash with butter and freeze - should be about 4-6 portions. I hate mashing it together so use the Kenwood.

Roast chicken and all the trimmings for dinner tonight. Cant think of anything else so will be off.

I'm not sure if dd is going to school today I can get her taken there ds1 will do that but he's at college this afternoon so I can't get her home I've tried a couple of friends but so far no joy I can't walk the 1and 1/2 mile round trip to get her home so not sure what to do
not sure whats for dinner today will have a look in the freezers if I can't find anything ds1 will go to the shops

This is my first post on the daily thread! It's time to stop lurking and come out of the closet isn't it?!?

Woke up this morning with a killer headache. You know the ones you can feel whilst actually sleeping! I've had it all night. Must eat, then hit the paracetomol. Maybe it was the mulled wine I had last night .....:o

Anyway, hope everyone has a good day today. It's Wednesday and in America they call that 'hump' day.............. Don't know why but it certainly always made me chuckle Nah they say it coz its the middle of the week. I still chuckle though.

Happy birthday Miss Teenruby

Dd and I are having a late one this morning - I was already to leave the house at 7.30 and then relaised that I hadn't got her up. Bit of a late night for her so the lie in will do her good. so funny having her freind over - she pretty much lives on cheesy chips so I went easy on the veggies - peas and spinach. She says she has had peas once and didn't like them and gave the spinach a lick and declared it a bit greeny tasting before rejecting that too. Lucky for her her mum turned up halfway through tea and exoh had her leftovers. He came round to see dd and they just sat in fornt of the telly so i turned it off and made them play battleships instead. I have only allowed him to come round as dd got upset but he's hardly on his best behaviour. Got up this morning to a filthy bath and MY dressing gown all over the floor. Got him up pretty smartish to sort it out though

I've had yellow sticker kippers for breakie and am burping already

Not much happening here, still going through my washing. Trying to catch up before the wk end, as its bedding change! Dont want to be left with mounts!

Jacket spuds with beans & cheesefor dinner later.

DD decided she wanted her hair straightened this morning for school! It was ok doing it, but when she has lovely long thick curly hair - it took forever! It did look lovely!

Does anyone know how long to wait for the Piggy vouchers to come! I claimed mine last week. Ive got £30 of Boots vouchers on its way, but never done this before, so dont know how long to wait!

Did my first lot of baking last night in the new oven/cooker. I made my carrot cake! It turned ok, but cant get used to the fan assisted oven.

Right best be off, & get ready for work

I tried about 5 times yesterday to post but they just kept dissapearing!!
Crazychick i never saw a van yesterday or would have got round and shown him where t/drier was!! Sorry mate plus i ordered piggypoints 2 weeks ago still not here so wouldnt worry to much.
Plan for today wash,iron clean the usual, fry up for tea, and need to chase up paypal dispute, seller wont reply to my emails or to paypals emails either, why do these people bother selling on ebay !!!!ARHG

I am looking after a really ill DS. He has what i think as to be the flu. He is not well at all.

Dropped DD off at school, she is really excited as she has a solo in the christmas production.

DH is off work as we have been married 9 years today.

Planning on going to Costco to get a load of xmas bits today but it will depend on DS.

Not much going on here, at work and then will have an early night coz I'm feeling really tired and run-down. Will probably have a chicken curry (bought sauce ) for tea and use the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Had a value yogurt for breakfast, and it's last nights bolognaise with jacket 'tato for lunch.

Dammit! Just remembered I can't have an early night because I've got to go and clean my old flat out, then drop a friends birthday present round. Grrr the chicken needs cooking today aswel.

Morning all,

Very wet here this morning - which for some reason meant that everyone was driving much faster than usual :mad: . Dh is still pretty ill with this virus - he has two lectures this morning so he's gone in, but I've told him to get his secretary to clear this afternoon so he can home and go to bed - and no laptop:rolleyes: I shall be driven to sabotage the thing otherwise.

Ds1 has the last 2 exams today - science which he likes, and English which he doesn't. We did some much needed revision on apostrophes last night - does anyone else remember "First Aid in English"? - you can still get it on Amazon :T

The Hanukkah doughnuts went down well at Beavers - Nigella's Loukmades - apart from the one child who will never try anything. Have promised the kids proper doughnuts today as the oil is still in the wok - dough in the BM. Also going to have a go at a lemon sponge pie from an American book and some cheese scones - it's like feeding the 10,000 round here at times - as fast as I make it, it gets scoffed.:D

PenPen - how annoying yesterday with your wasted journey.
Crazychik - hope you get the TD sorted
Jennie - hope the headache goes and welcome.

Mioliere - thanks for asking DS is fine now, his boss is taking him to look at some cars today at the car sales - he's offered to buy him a cheap runaround as long as we can tax and insure it!No news from the police yet.

PenPen - I'm still waiting for my payrise from April, I work in the care industry and they have been disputing the amount of the rise since then:rolleyes: dont expect it will be much though!

am off to pick up DS2 from a sleepover, no school today as its target setting and we have to go in for a 10 minute appointment with his form teacher, then I'll be off to work till 10pm tonight.
