    Tired Mum ((((((((((hugs))))))))))))

thats terrible and what I dont understand is that if they had been outside school grounds and a few years older it would be GBH and they would up in court - sometimes I think we mistake bullying for out and out violence:mad:

I totally agree with you Nelski. When my sons was 6 I picked him up from school and his bottom lip was so swollen it obscured the top lip. There was still fresh blood inbetween his teeth and yet the 'bullying' had taken place during the morning break. The blood on his arms had dried and we were unable to get his jumper off.
I was furious I hadn't been informed and told the deputy head that if a member of staff been attacked by a pupil and left with those injuries she would have sent them home to recover from the assault. DS1 was told to put a wet paper towel on it to bring the swelling down. I ask you!

I've just left my SIL who has been sobbing because her 11 yr son is going through it with bullying. He's a lovely kiddie, too. Makes my blood boil.

    Evening all,

I didn't intend to post as I've been up to my eyes the last couple of days and haven't really had a chance to read properly but I had to post to send (((hugs))) to tired mum and your ds. It really is dreadful what he's been going through recently. I hope he's ok this evening.

This is what DS has written in his statement after the incident where the boy had hit him and then screamed in his ear "I wanted to go home for 2 years this has been happening no matter how many workshops it will keep happening I have spent the last 3 days in the personal learning centre and will not go there again I have a right to feel safe I have the right to learn and I have the right to be who I am and no one is ever going to change that"
I am sitting here crying because i dont know what to do I am so angry i want to kill those 2 little sh*** DS has tried so hard but will always be different

    Good afternoon

Well today has not gone well DS has been attacked

Oh I am so sorry to hear this - hugs to you both. Have you thought of involving the police anyway - just so that they are aware of the situation in case of further trouble in the future? A friend of mine's DS was horribly bullied for months and the school kept fobbing her off with promises to monitor the situation and offering to find her DS somewhere safe to spend break and lunch times ( this makes me mad! why should the bullied child be the one to have to miss break time?) Anyway, the bullying got worse, the school promises came to nothing, so she called the police who were marvelous. They visited the bullies and gave them a lecture on what would be the likely outcome of any further bullying and notified the school that they were involved.

Hope you and DS have a happier evening.

  • Hi Tired Mum
Maybe now he has hit back they will leave him alone, I'm so sorry.
We had something similar with DD2 & nothing seemed to work, school just said the ringleader of the boys had problems at home. I told them I knew about it, his mum was a battered wife, I explained that by letting him get away with it they were just confirming to him that females were for hitting. When my DD hit back, after 15 attacks which included having her broken arm kicked, her toenail split & a ruler flicked across her face, she was given a detention!!
We solved the problem when DS1 who was 15 at the time & a goth, found the ringleader on our front lawn swearing & taunting DD2. DS1 grabbed the boy by the front of his shirt & told him if he ever did anything to DD again he'd rip his head of & s*** down his throat. Brutal but effective, DD2 had no more trouble & best of it is DS1 is a big softy & wouldn't hurt a fly.
    Hugs Hester

So sorry to read your post. Just hope your DS is OK. We don't like to do violence with like but glad to hear he stood up for himself. We had more than bullying issues with DS (DH almost up on a murder charge when DS was 16). DD was part of a group of 6 girls when just starting secondary school. She wasn't bullied as such but I think mental harassment? Suffice to say these girls not now her friends which I do think is so sad. She is having to forge new friendships now 27! I am lucky I go back to the 60s with my best friend.

    Take care.
