    Hello January Frugalistas,
    I am enjoying setting a general theme for each week according to what needs doing. This week has three themes, really:
    1. Getting back to normal! Christmas has been lovely but we both really do feel we are ready to return to our routines now, so I have been working hard on that today. Haven't done my diary update yet, but only because I haven't had a chance yet!
    2.Start moving on the programme of work we plan to get done on the house this year. I want to have booked in at least a couple of minor things by the end of this week as well as having made a written plan to double check Mr F & I both on the same page.......we discovered that we are not, on one issue, but I might be coming round to his way of thinking. A lot will depend on the costs which are quoted & what is actually possible. A lot of planning, managing & budgeting lies ahead, so I will have a folder set up in the next couple of days as well as a separate section in my Money Book for ring-fenced budget.
    3. Get back to tracking my food intake & exercise. Let's just say that my waistbands are telling me that there is a lot more Foxgloves than there was in the summer. Not good. I'm on it!
    Happy New Year to anyone who I've missed this week & my best wishes for a peaceful & productive 2020.
    F xx

  • Hello :hello:
    I'm with you 1LL - busy on not much sleep. I still have a couple of things to do before I can actually settle for the night. Considering it's been the first day back at school I think I've gotten quite a lot done.
    Checked banking
    Made a couple of phone calls I'd been avoiding
    Stuck to my diet
    Planned a few days ahead during my free
    Set cover work for tomorrow afternoon (I'm in court again)
    Made dinner for the kids
    Nagged ds to pack his school bag ready for tomorrow
    NSD
    Still to do:
    1 granny square (I'm doing a 365 day challenge)
    A bit of reading
    Early night
    Hope all of the poorlies are feeling better soon :kiss:

    Evening all :)
    Thanks for starting us off 1LL, hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.
    Hoping for a good result in court tomorrow CCL

    Not much accomplished here today, as I have been looking after little GS for most of the day - again.
    But I have managed to take an ebay parcel to the post office
    Quickly dropped into the shop where I rent my sales unit, had a quick tidy up with a view to taking more stock tomorrow, and picked up last month's takings.
    Made an appointment to get my hair cut tomorrow
    Paid the gas man's bill for the boiler repair just before Christmas :eek:
    Sorted out a load of business and tax paperwork from one of my big old wooden trunks. Got lots of really old stuff to shred and compost, some items containing no personal information to recycle, and filed everything from the past 7 tax years away again.
    Did pesto pasta for dinner
    Hoping for a more productive day tomorrow!

    Morning all.

    Today i have/ will:
    * Check banks

    * Make lunch to take to work
    * Turn microwave off at the wall
    * Take box of OOD cereal to work to put in drawer for breakfasts
    * Park in side road near hospital (yes another appointment but different hospital!) for free and walk to appointment - unfortunately I had to pay to park by work to avoid being massively late, but at least I've only paid once for parking

    * Shuffle money to correct accounts
    * Eat breakfast!

    * Look at new gym timetable to see if there's any classes that fit with my training
    * Try fit in a gym session at lunch
    * Dinner from stores
    * Start making shopping list but trying to avoid going for a few more days if I can stretch out the meals!
    * Do some more crochet

    Hope you all have a good day.
