I never ever received that amount of funds when fostering and don't even receive that much for 3 children never mind one!!
If I did I certainly would not have to work so hard for less than minimum wage after costs etc.
I am not going to drag myself down any further because Some people here Think so badly of me.
The few that know me in real life are the only ones whose opinions I would take to heart. I will not stay angry over this it is a waste of my efforts and my energy.
we have had a good weekend and the boys are happy playing.
I have taken a few days off of sewing to potter with them and do a bit of housework etc. It looks like we might get some fun in the sun in a bit.
I might even get to read a bit more like I did last night. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.6 -

DS surfaced from the Van at 10.30 this morning so I collared him to watch the boys while I went to Aldi, and stuck to my shopping list!It was not too bad, not many there, and I was able to get everything I wanted.
I noticed a large sack of flour at £3.99
but I didn't get it as it was not on my list.
DS has agreed to start paying me £30 a week from Friday. Now one of his debts has been cleared off.
shopping for Mum dropped off and home. My hand protested rather when packing the bags etc so must factor that in next time, possibly put my support on if I have too.

There is a desperate shortage of foster carers, I know this because my daughter is one. she is paid approximately £250 per week per child.Chin up, Titus out.4

I don't care what S.S. Gets paid or anyone else, I just know what I have received.
my post was meant in defence of foster Carers and the great work they y are not all the same as the Rochdale care scandal.
that is all I was trying to say. The issue of the expense of care was not brought up by me.Norn Iron Club member 4731 -
I decided to delete the last post I made.
I appear to be dammed if I do and dammed if I don't.
moving on.
thats the only way to go.

The Rochdale scandal was not about foster homes it was about care homes. Unfortunately not all children get fostered. Some children however are lucky & get to stay with other family members as these three do.

I feel that we have gone off course a bit.
I am a Special Guardian not a Foster Carer, although I did Pass all the tests to be a Foster Carer and did Foster for two years with dGD, and again, after reassessment for 4 months before the guardianship. However The local authorities do not pay the private fostering fees to Kinship carers.
This is the last that I want to say about the status or my ability as a Carer or not.
this thread is about how I feel about the day to day things that family, relationships and finances impact me.It is my outlet to what goes on in my thoughts.
Today the boys have Holiday Club,
I have a target of another 40 masks and to fit in some general housework etc. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.6 -
