They can but will need to find a centre to enter them and, of course there are the entry fees to pay for each exam.6

Basically everything we do has to be paid for now. That is the least of our problems.
There are plenty of options and thousands of children are home schooled. I was amazed at how many when I started to look into it.

My previous post was on Sept 7th typing on a very dark screen so just catching up.I've mentioned here in the past that removing my youngest dd from formal education was one of the best things I ever did. It changed her life so much as time went by . I was lucky to have the training for most subjects and it was added to by a tutor from EU learnng. That wont be an option now due to brexit but I second the suggestion to look at Flower Tot Mum's blog. Lots of info there and she's also been doing lots of home improvement on a budget which is one of your interests.I'm not planning to pressure you but listen to your own instincts when it comes to posting or not. It's good to read dgs1 is progressing. My very best wishes to you and yours and the best of luck to dgd. I hope she feels better knowing there is a less stressful way to move forward and the horses will help with that.I hope your mum is well.Remember to look after you toopollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

It does sounds as if DS1 is improving but it is probably not going to be a smooth journey. A gradual improvement is better than nothing. It's not difficult!

Last week was not the best for DGS1. This week so far is passable. Last night he attempted to get his own way and didn't succeed. He didn't want to eat his dinner, threatened to throw it on the floor, threw my glasses on the floor and was about to stamp on them when I managed to grab them. All because he wanted crisps. Which he didn't get.The OT came to assess DGD for Dyspraxia yesterday. 2 hours of tests. Now we await the results from a paediatrician.DGD is continuing to improve since homeschooling. Although we are not doing masses of academic work at the moment. She got to ride on a horse last Saturday. Today she is going to spend the day with the boys other granny going to the warehouse and getting her own riding gear. Her birthday is Sunday and she will be 13.Dgs2 continues to charm with his blonde curls but boy he can scream and cry with great gusto.
I haven't done much sewing. My hand did not heal properly. It is never going to be right. So I am thinking about my options.
But on the whole things are better. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.11 -
It's going to be two steps forward, one step backward all the way, isn't it Ss? But you are making some progress, and that is good. The link between DGD and "other granny" is good - it can only be good for there to be another link for her with the boys. It's hard to realise that she will be 13 on Sunday - shows how long that you have been coping with all the cr*p that life has been chucking at you - lesser women would have thrown the towel in by now - but you manage, you think about your options and take another turn in the road - well done to you, my dear. x
Things are improving slightly here too........ "our" twins (now 2 1/2) have actually gone to sleep in their own little beds and STAYED THERE all night for three nights running ......Mum & Dad are beginning to look less like zombies. Just hoping that it continues :-D xxx

Savvy, thanks for the update. I'm sorry that your hand hasn't healed as it should, especially as that will limit your sewing ((hugs)).
As Thorsoak said, it is never going to be a straight line improvement but it is clear that things are moving forward.
On that note - Thorsoak, I am very glad that everyone has been able to get some sleep! It's not difficult!

Things do sound more settled Ss. DGS1 will take time to settle and one day the littlest will get bored screaming.I'm glad DGD is happier and hope all goes well.Did you ever consider doing online sewing courses as you planned in the past? It could be a source of income. It does sound as though your hand wont be up to intensive sewing now. Best to look after your health than push past your limits.Sending positive vibes.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
